Me and my hubby have booked up a "romantic" long weekend to the Lake District

Gymnastics in the bedroom burns loads of calories off Joolz
Hope the weather is good, then you can go for long romantic walks....all burning calories off.

Morning All

Come on ladies, cheer up. You are all doing so well a little blip now and again is OK.

Joolz 24 BMI is great, it should be between 19 and 25 so basically you've lost all the fat (sorry it sounds so horrible saying that) so now it is just toning up. But remember muscle weighs more than fat so don't worry if your weight stays the same or you might even put on a couple of pounds but it will be muscle not fat.
Funny thing, like you I suffer those migraines :rofl

Meerkat- Glad you had a great holiday. To put on 3lb is nothing while on holiday you should be proud of yourself.

Keep up the good work ladies

well today, the weather is nice and suddenly i feel inspired to go swimming tonight...i am full of new found determination to try and lose a couple of lbs this week. If i stay of the voddy ( how many calories are there in about half a bottle!) then that should help too this week...of course the weight is just falling of Rob without him even trying.....men eh...

Done well last night didn't have any voddy and only 1 glass of wine but didn't make the gym

Weigh-in tonight - fingers crossed.

3llb is nothing to put on on holiday you should be happy with that. I bet I will put more on when I go to Dublin this weekend  I'll have to try to walk alot well between bars, shops and restuarants anyway

Gotta love the "I'm too busy having fun" exercises...

"And stretch to the pint... two three four"

"Lift those shopping bags, higher! Nearly there!"

And who can forget, the...
"Run to the taxi before the hoardes come! Faster, you can do it!"

Ps. In terms of weight watchers, one shot of vodka with a diet mixer is 1 point. As you can have 18-22 points depending on your weight, I say don't bother eating and have the bottle. But that could be because I'm a binge drinking teenager.

Hi girls

Glad to hear your all still on the diet wagon.

My diet has gone out of the window the past week or so, so I havent been brave enough to get on the scales :(

However, my other half has just bought a full size punch bag, so have been having a go on that the past few days. It's really good fun, and brilliant if you've had a bad day, or someone has annoyed you!

Keep it up!

Is the minumum points for weight watchers not 16, sure just read that in my book.

Mazza, about the vodka.. i have been known to have a liquid tea..but now as i am no longer a binge drinking teenager and more of a nearing 40 stepmother of teenage binge drinker (and she thinks i don't know!) my body cannot take it any more and i feel dreadful for about 2 days afterwards...

I like the idea of a punch bag kianic....

I thought it was 18.. I could be wrong though! In any case, I wasn't REALLY suggesting drinking a whole bottle of vodka, that'd be daft. Everyone knows you should line your tummy with a few beers first :D
(and she thinks i don't know!)
We all thought that at first :)

My boyfriend thought a punch bag was a brilliant idea until he saw me using it, then he got a bit scared. I find that the best exercise is jogging with my mum or sister, because we have a real laugh doing it. You dont have to go for miles or go really fast either (luckily!)

I'm going for a run in the dark tonight. I can't afford to join a gym so I'll be pounding the streets with an MP3 player and a water bottle for company!

i can think of plenty of exercises i would like to do..but my motivation is so poor. I get up at stupid o clock every day and then go to work and then come home approx 10 hours later. I then have to think about mogs, dogs and sprogs out as well as cooking something for tea and trying to get some semblence of order into the house. Then i discover i am knackered and can't be bothered to do anything other than slob on the sofa before going to bed and repeating the whole process again the following day...today though.. i am determined i will get at least 25 lengths swimming done before going through the above routine at home....i am sure weight loss would be much easier if i had higher levels of motivation or more time to devote to constructive exercise. I kid myself that walking between the search area through to the secure area and either into my office or onto the ward is exercise and the reverse journey at home time. This is probably why my figure continues to migrate south and start to spread across time zones!!!

My mum was in the same boat as you for a while, until she got a TV and excercise machiney thing put in her bedroom. For 20 mins as soon as she comes in from work she goes on it, and we all know not to disturb her! Once she did that for a while her energy levels went up because she was happier and healthier. :)

up until approx 18 months ago, i was 8 stone and super fit and athletic with everything nice and where it should be. I was one of those really irritating people that could eat whatever i wanted and never put on an ounce never mind a lb. Diet was a foreign word to me.. then i gave up smoking, got promoted to a more office based job, and then suddenly the clothes got a little tight etc and now i have discovered that the reverse is true. I am not super fit any more, everything is south of where it should be and twice its old size and i seem to manage to put on weight while i am asleep! I am not sure what my excuse is..laziness, natural body changes as i approach 40, circumstances or just general lifestyle. I have been putting it off andputting it off for ages..but i know that i have to start improving things and motivate myself. I started swimming, i live on rabbit food ( true, i have rabbit food with a kebab!!) and when Rob finally fixes the wheel back on my pushbike, i will be cycling. Surely, i must be able to lose a little weight doing this....

Has anyone tried that diet supplement called Hoodia?
Reply
Never heard of Hoodia untill you mentioned it so I looked it up on the internet. Its a herbal type appetite suppressant, alledgedly. I personally don't have the need to surpress my appetite, just my greed :!: Seriously though, through eating a well balanced diet I am never hungry, I just take a notion for something that's "bad" because I see others eating it or I open a cupboard and its there or I'm fed up etc. Like when I'm having a glass of wine I want crisps, its psychological, not hunger.

My old pal, 'Will Power' is sticking by me at the moment and helping me to resist temptation :!: :rofl

Hope this is the right thread to post this question -well it is very close to a diet question.
Has anybody used a good cellulite cream or similar which they can recommend?
Reply
Afraid I can't help in the cellulite cream department, I think if you've got it, it won't matter much what cream you use. Same with stretch marks (which I have).

If anyone knows of a take-away that'll "cellu-lite" curries I'd be really interested to know though :!: :!: :sun :rofl

Hi All

Keep em coming Joolz :D

Avon do a variety of lotions and potion for cellulite/stretch marks, boob firming cream. They all come in a purple bottle/tube. I am an Avon rep and I have several customers who swear by it and purchase this range on a regular basis. Can't give my personal opinion as I have never used any of it. I think it's too late anyway, I need something more in the way of a crane to lift my saggy bits :rofl

Hope this helps

Hi Again

Had to post again as I've just found the answer to all the dieting problems.

On GMTV this morning they were stating that women who go through Divorce apparently re-invent themselves. During the stress etc of the divorce they lose weight, then on finding that they have this new slimmer figure they then go on to have new funky hairstyles/ wardrobes, and more often than not end up with a toyboy.

So there it is girls, simple, get a divorce (says she who celebrated her 21st Anniversary yesterday).

Even if you didn't lose the weight yourself during the divorce you will still lose approx 12st of ugly fat - your husband :rofl
