srhjnmgn I am hoping that i have a good loss when i come of the tabs and then i will be happy lol. I do love it when your clothes become looser but for me its always been about the scales. Ha i even out of desperation got the tape measure out when the scales didnt move but no change there either :rofl Oh you have to laugh, Otherwise....... :cry
I must admit that with the sun shining today i really wanted to have a drink but i never and am proud of myself :clap I dont know what it is but i associate the sun with booze :rofl and then of cause booze with chippy.......not good at all. Anyway managed to talk myself out of all of the naughty things i wanted to do.

I lost 0.5lb at class on Tuesday.
Tomorrow night we are doing a SW ' Come Dine with Me' One lady is hosting it and everything we eat will be from SW. Well exceot the wine. ;)

Ooooooo Irene that sounds fab :tup Hope she can cook :rofl When we used to have our christmas party i used to roll up with a cake and not a SW cake but hey it was christmas :rofl . Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the good work :clap

Has everyone been good this weekend? I've started my diet (again) today. We have a nurse at work who visits every week so she's going to weigh me every Friday and record it :( . Will let you know how I get on. I've decided to drop the 'demon drink' so the weight should fall off me :rofl .

Pargaluvva,I haven't just had a bad weekend I have been really terrible for the last couple of weeks.I am almost back to my heaviest and I know I will be really struggling on holiday with the heat let alone the extra weight .No idea why I keep doing this to myself will just need to try better.So here i am declaring on here I AM GOING TO BE GOOD :tup Let you all know next monday how I've done.Wish me luck !!!!!!

im here hanging my head in shame :cry I was given a gift of a box of chocolates and did have the willpower not to eat them for 3 days, then in a weak moment i opened them and ate half the top layer of milk tray :whoops Did lose 1 pound last week so i should have been more controlled :que Oh well back in the saddle today.

Hope all you ladies are being good and keep up the good work. I am going to try harder this week.

Made the curly wurly cake last night. Yeah, it's okay. I can see that when I fancy something sweet a piece of that will be most welcomed but it's not the tastiest thing I ever ate.

The only problem is they didn't have any single curly wurlys in Asda so I bought a pack of 5. Rather defeats the object, lol. Oh well, only 115 calories in each and I'm not following SW or WW anyway - I just liked the idea of the cake.

One thing with those scan bran you really do know you're getting your fibre intake!

one and a half pound off this week, only ten and a half to go till hols in 7 weeks and a half weeeks. Fingers crossed ( I have three celebrations to contend withh before that this.. :( )

I recently bought the new WW pack from their website; it cost £59. I wish I had joined a group as I cannot get motivated to start it as there are so many little books to read through and seems a lot of faff. At least with SW you had a lot of information in a big book and overall seemed easier to follow. Does anyone else have problems with motivation with WW?

I was just about to do the 3 month weightwatchers online plan, glad I saw your comment first Sydney... might stick with Slimming World.

I've just phoned the gym to re activate my membership as of tomorrow. 15 weeks 'til Cuba, better get going :think

Well done Cazz :tup I managed to get 1 lb off this week not that good considering i have maintained the last 2 weeks but was still sticking to my cals 100%. Still on the tabs till next Tuesday but i starting taking water tabs on Sunday so am hoping i am retaining water and will have a good loss when i come off the tabs. Oh noooooooooooooooo Mothers day is in the middle of this weeks weigh in :duh That means a gain for me :duh I would have just stuck to my diet but my son is off to china and we promised our youngest we would take him bowling and then for a meal, I am being good though cos i am gonna mingle the 2 days together. Hope everyone is doing well and keep up the good work :D

I hope I haven't really put you or anyone else off Dramaqueen.

I was speaking with the ladies at work today and several of them had tried the plan some with and some without success. It seems to me it depends on whether you are the sort of person that doesn't mind writing down everything that you eat; if you don't mind writing everything down then it is the plan for you, but if you are the sort of person who finds that sort of thing a faff and would like a plan that doesn't involve too much writing down, then it isn't.

I think I will find my old SW book and start again with that as you don't need to weigh or write everything down.

I'm glad you did Sydney, I think I'll dig out the SW books as well as of tomorrow, I've done it on and off for so long now that I know it without thinking :D

Well today has been really hard, infact the last couple of weeks have been hard. :cry I think once i get to 9st i may have to look at going back onto SW but what i am frightened of is were i have been on 1000 cals aday ( not recommended i know) for nearly 7 months now, when i go back to SW i will gain as the cals are alot higher. Has anyone done this ( gone from extreme diet to SW?) and if so what happened. I am only thinking of doing this as i really am starting to get bored plus the fact i have not had a piece of fruit since i started cos i wont give the cals for it. Free on SW. What do you think guys :think If anyone goes to class could you ask your consultant for some advise on it for me please. Just say a friend is thinking of joining and they will soon tell you :rofl

Sidney and dramaqueen i could start a SW library with all the old books that i have in this house. Lots more plans out now i believe but i just cant afford to pay £5 or what ever it is now to be told what i have lost or even worse what i have gained :rofl

alsbaby - I don't really do any specific diet, I just cut back on the carbs. If you're only eating 1000 cals a day - your body isn't getting much fuel. Sometimes, changing your diet and eating more calories can actually help you lose weight. Drinking more water also helps. Try and drink a glass just before meals, as it does make you feel fuller.

In the last 4 months; Nov-March I have lost 22 lbs, and have gone from Just under 17 stn to 15.1 stn, my main program is regular exercise, and diet

Two things came to my mind, with heart problems was told by my clinic nurse I have to loose weight, and also wanted to tone up, and loose weight for my holiday, it getting to the point I cant wait to get to the gym, and push my self, even my 4 brothers are trying to loose weight aswell, and come this xmas were going to see who has lost the most

Go to the gym 3-4 days in the morning before work, do 1 hr on the treadmill, on a fat burning program, try to keep my heart rate between 113-124 bpm, on my days of do 2 x 1hr session on treadmill, and 15 min bike exercise and to finish of 10 lengths of the pool

When I get to work, I have my breakfast sultan bran and a banana, lunch a small salad and Olive Oil Crostini, and for dinner small portion of turkey or chicken with fresh veg, and I try to make sure I dont eat after 7pm

With 12 weeks till my holiday, I am setting my self a target weight of 12 stones for the end of June, so all in all I have to loose another 43 lbs by end of june, do I think I can loose 43 lbs in 3 months , Yes. Need to loose 3lbs per week to meet my target.....14 stns for end of April

The First 4 months Nov-March, I wasnt really pushing my self, but now that can changes, I have a target to hit

Alsbaby I'm not on a diet plan, my weight loss has been down to exercise with just a few tweeks in the food and a big reduction in alcohol. It's taken a long time and it is hard work but it suits me. I shouldn't have got to the size I did anyway and it was largely due to laziness and inactivity - to me that and the food go hand in hand. If you're busy out doing physical stuff you are not at home wondering what's in the cupboards.

So far as weigh in goes, well I don't have any scales and the gym ones were giving such varied results that I decided to stop myself going on them. I have to see the nurse every 11/12 weeks at the surgery so that is my weigh in and the next one is tomorrow. At the last one which was late Jan I had stayed the same over Xmas.

For those of you doing WW and SW and maintaining/gaining etc. How can you really gain in a week where you've had one indulgent occasion unless you use that occasion as an excuse to write that week off? I ask because to gain a pound in weight you need to eat 3500 more calories that week - which is quite a lot in one way but is potentially only a couple of bars of choc every day if the rest of your food is around the 2000 mark. I'm genuinely interested in how this works for you guys.

hi hope you are ok. I did lose a pound last week, but, after a gift of the choccys and half a layer later i guess ive messed that up :cry Maybe because you are on a restricted amount of calories your weight loss has been slow of late. Your body holds on to cals and turn them to fat if it thinks its being starved-how unfair eh :rofl I sound like the woman from little britains fat fighters-i know what i should be doing but i dont do it :rofl I am trying and think if i did exercise it would benefit me, i just hate it, all that jumping up and down getting sweaty ewww :D but it does work because ive done it before. I am being lazy-must buy some motivation ;)
