Had you upgraded to premium? when this has happened before they refund the cost of the premium upgrade.

brown_sugar wrote:Hi,
We're flying to Montego Bay from Gatwick with Thomas Cook 28th June flight number: TCX 77K , returning on TCX 77L.
I've never flown with them before but they offered very competitive prices so my group opted to book with them. Unfortunately I've read some really negative reviews on Thomas Cook since our booking was completed which has really concerned me. Most reviews comment on the poor level of comfort, poor service, lack of leg room etc.
Is anyone able to confirm which plane will be used for this flight please ? In addition I'd appreciate any info on seat pitch and seat width. I understand that if we book an exit aisle seat that our armrests will be fixed and this reduces the seat width even further. Is this correct ?
Thanks in advance.
Seat width is standard long haul width. Seat pitch in ECON is more than Virgin and BA economy....
Take all these complaints with a pinch of salt, how many people actually go on the web sites you have read and say what a fantastic flight they had??
People seem compelled to inform everyone of bad experiences!
comfort is a personal opinion, how comfortable can you get sitting in a seat for 10 hrs!?
I've booked myself and the better half up on package with Direct Holidays, flying with Thomas Cook
I've been told that you can reserve the seats as soon as you have a booking reference on another forum but when I try to add the seats it tries to charge me £48.00 (12 each sector per adult)
I've already paid £12 each to reserve seating as my other half is a nervy flyer and was told that you can't do anything until 7 days before the flight
It's getting me a little muddled!
As far as I know you pay for sitting together which means you may still be separated by an aisle or sitting infront/behind each other. If you want to book specific seat numbers there is an additional charge. Supposedly you can only do this 7 days prior but have read differently myself. If you want to book numbers earlier there is priority seating which is available from 98 days prior but again there is an additional charge. Your seat your choice is done direct the TC Airlines either online or over the phone. I think this is for holidays trom May 1st so if you are travelling earlier it might be different.
Can anyone tell me what type of aircraft we will be on.
Flying with Thomas Cook from Leeds Bradford to Las Palmas 28th June 2010, 7am - TCX862K.
Back to Leeds Bradford 12th June 2010, 12.45pm - TCX862L.
Many Thanks
Are you trying to book your seats online? The price they try to charge you doesn't take into account you have already paid for 'sitting together'. (I have been telling them this, since this time last year !!)
You now have to pay for 'your seat, your choice' which is £6 per person, per flight. This can be done over the phone as soon as you have your booking reference.
You need to phone TC airlines as near to 9am as possible (and you may still have to hang on for ages - cost me £3.45!!!) but if you ring any later you will just get cut off after a couple of minutes VERY FRUSTRATING !!

Flight TCX862K/L is set to be operated on a Airbus A320 aircraft from what I can see.
The seating on the aircraft is in a 3-3 configuration.

FROM £6 per person per flight, and will cost more on long haul.
Just to point out, the booking of seats is Yes I went on to the yourseat your choice website to try and book and it let me through but then tried to charge me a fortune
I've only paid £6 e/w to Reus with Direct Hols, does this mean I'll have to wait until 7 days before
not sure who said you cannot book seats/seat no's until 7 days before....this is totally wrong.
