Hope posting links is ok.
So, how come I paid £20 at the time of booking, and then £16 per person per flight (£64) to prebook the seats early (December departure)?
When you selected your seat, the £6 is in addition to pre-booked seating. You'll have had to pay the initial £12 for pre-booked seating together then an additional £6 to select the actual seat, so £18 per person. It's changed now as they now offer online check-in and seat selection so starts from £6 one way. If you already had pre-booked seating before you selected your seat, you may have been charged twice. This is a known problem.

Bother. More hassle trying to get a refund. So, should I have paid £20 (which I paid to the TO at the time of booking) and then 4x£6?
I can't find a link to do this with my booking reference, do they send an email link asking for it to be added or will it be okay to leave it until I check in at the airport? - Don't want them to say I can't travel!!
Thankyou for any information.
Thanks Suddy, I tried that link but only flight extras comes up with my booking ref.
Mober one - did you book 'your seat your choice' online? It has been overcharging online since last year. I wrote about it on here last summer, and lots of people phoned and got their money back! You will need to phone them (as near to 9am as possible) and they will refund the money. - They said they would fix it last year but they haven't as yet!
I have friends flying MAN-MBJ 25 April TCX71K/TCX71L. Please can you tell me what plane they will be flying on and seat configuration.
Thanks
MAN-MBJ-MAN (TCX071K/L) are operated by an Airbus A330-200. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thanks Darren. Hope you had a good holiday.
We are flying Gatwick to Holguin on 27th April. Can you tell me do we touch down in Varardo? Is it the airbus we travel on and how do they allocate the seats is it worth paying to seat together or is it likely a party of 2 will be together anyway?
Thanks
Your flight operates LGW-HOG outbound, and HOG-VRA-LGW inbound using an Airbus A330-200. They don't pre-allocate so you may want to pre-book seating together or select your seat if you want peace of mind of being sat together. If you don't want to pay the extra, just make sure you're at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure. Passengers travelling as a couple rarely get split up, but those that check-in late get whatever seating is available.

Just looking at the IFE for our flight tcx46k/l on 01/04/10 and its says main screen 500 days of summer - outbound. And the invention of lying - inbound. It has an aditional 3 movies for premium, so I was just wondering if you could enlighten me as what the other movies will be shown in economy.
nice to see you back....!!!
oh and another question..... about hand luggage this time. ive bought a hard case as i wanted to put my dress in and its a couple of inches larger in depth, if they noticed would this be a problem, as id explain my wedding dress is in there.... wanted a stury case for it as they say "items may shift in the overhead lockers...."
what do you think?
thanks in advance,
claire x
You'll have all the movies listed other than those indicated as premium movies. You need to look at the personal seat back IFE listing on pages 116-119, not the mainscreen on pages 114-115 as that's only for short / mid haul flights (non-seat back IFE aircraft). I watched the Invention of Lying on my way to Egypt the other week, I didn't rate it! Thomas Cook are extremely strict with luggage allowance. If they check your hand luggage and it doesn't meat the size / weight restrictions, they'll either refuse it for travel or ask you to place it in the hold with associated excess baggage charges. You may be lucky and they don't notice, but TCX are probably the strictest of the charter airlines when it comes to luggage. When they say items may shift, it's only due to acceloration and deceloration during take off or landing or the odd bump if any turbulance is encountered. They don't shift that much! That line is only inclused in cabin crew announcement as a health and safety measure in case something falls out when the locker is opened and hits someone; it covers them.
Darren
have you ever been in the bolin lounge in T1? how would you rate that?
thanks for the speedy response as always! x
The Bollin Lounge is fine, nothing special but it gets you away from the crowds in a more relaxed atmopshere where you can have a few refreshments and a bite to eat before your flight. You'll find more information on the Manchester Airport thread.

Hi, I'm new to this. We fly out on 7th April TCX913k Glasgow to Antalya come back on 22nd April TCX913L. Can you tell me what air craft these flights will be? What the in flight entertainment will be? I don't know where we will be sitting on the plane. We are a family of 4 with two children i'm trying to find out where we are likely to be sitting. We have ordered in flight meals do you know what they are likely to be? And if that affects our seat allocation. I have been told if we arrive at airport early we might be given better seats is this true? Any other information would also be appreciated.
Welcome onboard
GLA-AYT-GLA (TCX913K/L) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information, eg photos, seating plans and link to the inflight magazine where you'll find the IFE listing on pages 114/5 on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). You could be allocated seating in any part of the aircraft. Seating is allocated on a first come, first served basis so if you arrive at the airport in good time, you've less chance of being split up. Apart from extra legroom seating, all the seats are the same so it's personal preference really.
