Thanks Lynn. I did get through after hanging on for about 20 odd mins. Trouble is once you have been on for ten mins you dont feel you can ring off in case you are next in line and you know you will have to ring back anyway.
I'm inclined to agree with you Bobpat, although am not sure if they are well organised enough to have a delberate 'policy' about anything. They just make sure they dont employ enough staff.
I'm not unpleasant to the person who answers the phone as that gets you nowhere and they probably only earn minimum wage for her trouble.
Apparently my account is marked as paid up & the letter should not have been sent. Apparently invoice showing nil balance has been sent once already (yeah right) but as I haven't got it they are sending another.

we would definately book online again and with thomas cook.
p.s thomsons, first choice etc were very expensive with no real bargains. thomas cook had lots of great late availability deals which dont seem to exist anymore. we were spoilt for choice.
never been with TC but im sure theyre all the same really.
Happy holidays to all
i have booked my holiday with thomas cook and they matched it by 180 pounds as i done it on the net then went to the shop to book it as they say they will either match it or beat it and as usuall they did beat it keep it going thomas cook .
I might need to take 2 off my booking and thomas cook it coming up with a price for the remaining holiday £200 more not counting £100 lose of deposit for 2 cacelled places. It seems they are adding something more than the change for 2 people. I am going to ask for a breakdown to see if they are charging the change on all 5 of use, 5X£50. If I booked a week later the deposit was £25, would lost only £50 instead of a £100.
You might find it is an "under occupancy supplement" you are being charged. We booked a holiday for two to Greece a couple of years back, was told the price for two adults, but the final invoice was £100 more due to "under occupancy" ie. two people in a studio which
We have 2 hotel rooms. Might just cancel this year because its such a mess up. I have booked the hotel for next year for just 3 of us.
I booked a holiday to Las Vegas, they changed the hotel and as I didn't agree they said they would refund my deposit.
Now, that wasn't that simple, they hadn't cancelled the booking down! They even sent me tickets for the holiday I'd been a way for a few weeks and got back to two answerphone messages.
Anyway, the person I got said she'd send me my deposit back and would take about 7-10 working days. That was 4 week's ago.
Oh yes I booked on-line.
I am flying with TC on the 19th June and upgrade our seats to the premium cabin. So this includes prebooked seats. Does this mean our seats have already been allocated? If not how do we go about selected specific seats?
To select your seats you need to go on 'your seat your choice' on the website. costs £10 each and £2 booking fee. Hope this helps. Denny
called on first when boarding and it was the same coming home at vegas airport.I was concerned about the journey so I rang week before and booked 2 seats together which cost £22 for two of us.It took all the stress off us and was worth every penny.

Jamaica would be nice. I've searched and searched but can't find any info at all.
Can anyone help please
Hope this helps!
There doesn't seem to be the option to book seats together on the flight like there is on the First Choice website.
I don't want to book if I can't buy seats together (special needs child).
Does anyone know where this option is on the site please????
Hi Swan007. Not sure if you get the option further on in the online booking process but do you have a local Thomas Cook shop? I booked my TC holiday for 2009 with the local shop and they have prebooked my seats for me and also beat the web price by £90. Well worth a visit or phone call in my opinion plus good as you have a point of contact if any problems. If you do phone them make sure it's the actual branch you call and not just a call centre number. Hope this helps, Nic.
http://www.thomascookairlines.co.uk site and book seats together. There is also the extra option to book actual seat numbers, though this does cost extra, but having a special needs child myself I find the extra payment for peace of mind well worthwhile.

Swan007, if you book online with Thomas Cook you can then go on to the Cazz
Thankyou both very much for your help, it's put my mind at rest to know I can book this and I'll also try going into the shop to see if I can get a better price.
I'm flying in the premium cabin and was hoping to prebook the seats I wanted when flying to the Dominican Republic.
LBTN, I would give the airline a call as they can book seats over the phone if they are available. Are you flying before 31st October? I know that I had a problem trying to pre-book seats with Thomas Cook a while ago to Cancun as the return flight was at the beginning of November and the seats weren't showing on the system yet. As it turns out, we needed to change the holiday to First Choice and have the same problem now with them as we require exit seats and these are currently only available on the outbound flight.
Why do some holidays come up with the option to book a late checkout, and why can you not just book 20kgs when you book your holiday.... its madness!!! TC are really annoying.
I booked the seats over the phone and asked for a receipt which they are sending out, hope it gets here before next Thursday which is when I'm flying.
