aprehensiveflyer,

Welcome onboard :tup
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM062/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). You'll find the current IFE listing (to December) on the guide, Jan / Feb won't be released until the end of December. Once you've chosen seats, you can no longer access the online system. There are seat plans linked on the guide though so you can show her there.

Morning Darren, just another quick question. Am I able to take a laptop and use it inflight? My son wants to take it as he will be bored but I didn't think it was allowed. Also do they have in seat power ports and offer wi-fi or is it a no go?

Mdollar,

Laptops are fine but can only be used once seat belt signs are off after take off and before landing. Any wireless devices, bluetooth, Wifi etc must be dissabled. There aren't any power ports and they don't offer any connection facilities. That's where full fare scheduled airline come in but not all those offer those types of facilities either. Bear in mind when going through security, the laptop will need removing from the bag for screening seperately so make sure it's easily accessable.

Hi aprehensiveflyer
I noticed from your post that you have already booked your seats, although you don't leave till Feb, we have just booked to go to the maldives with first choice, premium economy (TOM 054/5) and have been told we can't book seats until 2 months before we fly, can you tell me how you booked early please ;) (we don't go till sept 11, but I get very anxious about this sort of thing, as I'm not a great flyer, and need to get things sorted asap for my own sanity)
Also while I'm here, having read lots of posts on here I am aware that the aircraft will be the old first choice 767-300/ER can someone tell me, are the premium seats located at the front of the plane, can't seem to find this info, or am looking in the wrong place :whoops

Premium on the ex First Choice seats are the first 9 rows.
You can book your seat numbers 90 days prior to your return flight by ringing Thomson Airlines.
Have a look at Thomsons section on here

There are links to the seat plans.

Hi Trod,

I was also told we could book seats 2 months prior to flying. However, I was checking on an almost daily basis with my holiday reference supplied by Thomson. Then one day I could book seats, even then a lot had booked already! This was 11th November & we fly on 21st Jan. I like you are not the greatest of flyers & like thigs just so, so was glad I booked when I did. The premium seats are at the front of the plane.
Cheers

You can book 90 days before, but by phone. The online booking is 60 days before. X

Thank you everyone for your replies, very helpful :tup I can't believe they don't tell you, when you book, that you can do it by phone, I would have been in pieces if I'd waited till the 2 months, then couldn't get seats together :cry
I shall be on the phone very early on the 4th June :rofl

I've just read on TA where a poster said on a flight to Aruba there was power outlets between the premium seats but the crew didn't know they existed. They took a US adaptor and her husband used them to power his PDA to read his ebooks?
I didn't think they had them and I've never noticed them in the past but would be great for using the netbook if they do? Is there anyway of finding out?

Sunaddict,

That's correct, I believe they are there, but they aren't really used and hidden somewhere under the seat. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA can probably advise further.

Some of the ex first choice aircraft have them I am not sure which do and don't apart from g-pjlo does have them. They are on the aisle seats the side closest to the aisle usually if the are fitted in economy and premium

Hi Darren you gave me great info last year on our flight to MBJ Tom 030/031 & where the previous incoming flight was from.
Having that info we were prepared for the 4 hr delay on our departure day. We knew before the boards announced it. :rofl

Next Sat we are flying on Tom 024/025 to MBJ. Have tried to work out what the inbound flight was I presumed Bridgetown but not certain.
Can you confirm which flight it will be.

Have booked premium seats although 9FG were the only window seats left ( I discovered today on here there is no window) & we have 9DE on our return
at least it will be dark then so not much to look at .
Do row 9 recline being as they are the last row. I hope so as I always end up with the person in front wanting to recline the whole flight. :duh

I'm just hoping we don't end up with the delays todays flight has had. 09.15 delayed to 12pm then 14.15pm & now 09.05 am tomorrow. :yikes
A technical issue I would think rather than weather related.

CalamityJane,

The aircraft operating TOM024/5 (Montego Bay) does indeed come in from Barbados (TOM034/5) as you worked out. Row 9 reclines.

Thanks for the very prompt reply Darren, I'm impressed being as it's a Sat night. :cheers

Just been reading about the laptop socket too. (Now where did I put that American 2 pin plug.)
Maybe my husband will be allowed to sit next to the non existant window this year . I'm sure it said
possibly located next to the aisle... :think

Hi

Could anyone tell me the prices of duty free cigarettes currently on sale on the BRS-SSH route with Thomson. My wife is flying out on thursday 2nd Dec and is unsure whether to buy then at BRS duty free or on the plane.

Thanks in advance for any info
