I take it that a soft drink package is not possible. I think that the soft drink will be pretty expensive then especially cans etc.
On the issue of your Bill do Thomsons not make you sign for every drink that you buy and then give you a copy of this? When you bill reaches you on the final night you can check it against the receipts you have. The bill will be on your door or under your door on the final night. This might be a night earlier on Thomsons. You can go and ask for the current state of you bill at any time during the cruise. You would just ask at Guest Relations and it is just a case of printing it off for you.
I think this might be a wise move in that you have children and they may not hold on to every receipt. Should there be any discrepancies in your account you can sort them out at the time.

If you bill is correct and you have paid by credit card there is no need to go to Guest Relations etc. You will be charged in £ so there is no need to do anything further.
If you are paying by cash and have deposited cash at the beginning then you would have to see them to pay the balance or to receive a refund. etc. I am not the best person to give advice or info. as I have never cruised with Thomson or Island.

There seems a two week gap in the Thomson Destiny schedule between November 22 and December 6 2008. Does anyone know if she is having some refurbishment carried out prior to her season in the Caribbean.

I have also read that the Celebration is due for a refit in October, any confirmation on that also?

We stayed in a cabin on deck 3 and it was a picture window. All cabins on deck 3 have them. I am glad to hear that the destiny is to have a refit before going into the caribbean. We have booked caribbean gems cruise on 5th april 2009. Cant wait:cheers

I read about the refit further up the page on this forum. I hope it is true, mind you we are not travelling til 5th april so it will be a bit worn in by then! This ship is old by today's standards but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think its only going to go in for a quick wash and polish as its only out of action for 2 weeks. We were last on the Destiny in June 2007 and also thouroughly enjoyed it, sooo! really looking forward to the Carribean on March the 15th.
