couldnt agree with you more.
India is and will always be an amazing country with wonderful places and people.
we cannot let a small minority of evil terrorists cloud our view of this.
Without tourists Goa is finished and we simply cannot let this happen

It dosent need log in just press information and you go straight onto the site. Then press Customer support, then questions. You will get to Mumbai update. BA are not offering refunds, only to change the date of travel, or change destination.

You can find more information about flights here http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/27/mumbai-terror-attacks-travel-advice

We are due to go to Goa on the 15th December and will not change our plans unless the Foreign Office advises otherwise.

I refuse to let the terrorists frighten me away. I maintained my plans shortly after 9/11 and travelled to New York and will do the same with India. Was due to go to Thailand a day after the tsunami (yes we are jinxed I know) and didn't cancel although changed islands as our hotel in phuket was destroyed. The amount of tourists staying away had a massive impact on the local people with hundreds of business closing down through lack of trade.

We are not silly though and will follow the official advice.

I'm still going although I have agreed , for both of my son's peace of mind, to rethink about my trip to Mumbai. I have told them that I will weigh up the situation when I get to Goa and let them know. I do agree, as has already been mentioned, that security in Mumbai will be tighter for a while though.

I am not letting these terroists win by not going to Goa.

I leave on Sunday and unless the foreign office advice against travel I will be going.

What angers me is that I will now be going away knowing that my parents and family are worried sick about me. My mum and dad were thinking of booking a weeks holiday for themselves whilst I was away. This has been a bad year for my family as my mum (and her sister) have been having treatment for breast cancer, so the break would be good for her. They have now decided they won't bother doing this because they want me to be able to contact them "if anything happens"
I'm now upset and feel guilty that they are in effect putting their lives on hold for 3 weeks as I can't convince them to change their minds. This holiday isn't going to be the same.

I cannot stop thinking of what has happened in Mumbai (and what still is happening) . I heard that they were targeting british and americans, and were also killing any other person who got in their way.

This has led to me not booking Goa for Jan. I am sad most of all about the number of innocent lives that have been lost, not just tourists, but local people have been killed in this.

I know most of you on this forum are saying ' we are not going to let the terrorists win, we are still going to Goa'.

But i have a 5 year old son, and he has got many years ahead of him, unlike the rest of us oldies, so this is why we are going to Mexico instead of Goa.

I will really miss Goa, but you can't have everything you want in life. It makes me feel sick to the stomach thinking of the pain and fear they are causing.
