hi, my friend has a package holiday booked with travel republic flying with xl.if xl went bankrupt would i be covered?
Anyone have any updates on Travel Republic? I have a holiday booked with them for December and the balance is due now but I can't get through on the phone and their web site wont accept the credit card route either. I've also posted a message with them on their web site but again no reply. Is it 'just' the XL issue which is occupying them?
Hi...I too have been trying to contact TR today just to book transfers for a forthcoming holiday in November. They are not answering at all!! Its all quite worrying with the state of things and travel at the moment. I only have accommodation booked with them but for 20 ppl....If anybody manages to find out any info re. TR please post it on here, much appreciated..

Still trying to get through to Travel Republic and still no answer. Not possible to use ringback. Still not possible to use their system for paying the balance of the holiday. Have now sent a second message to the company through their mail slot on the web site. The first one sent on Friday has clearly not been read because of the word 'unallocated' accompanying it. Unsure if I have a holiday or not.
Hi...I just got through to the recorded " We are experiencing a high volume of calls, you will be answered as soon as possible" message. Only got it the once though so hopefully it is just to do with the XL flight business. I am so sorry for all the people who are affected right now with this.....lets just hope many other companies arent following suit!!
but if you are patient you will get there once i did get through they were very good about sorting my problem out .
p.s.when you ring after the ring tone it goes very quiet .BUT....keep hanging on till someone answers.
i too have tried on the web page but they did not answer it......

hi ..all ..now well into my second hour hanging on the phone ..waiting for travel republic to answer ......i was under the impression my problem was sorted and now it doesnt appear to be........why the heck dont they answer.its costing a fortune this waiting.........
