this is the first time i have booked with this company. was a bit worried doing it as i always book a package with first choice or my travel. i have never booked a seperate flight and hotel before. i rang them to book and never gave an e-mail address so i assume they will post my accomodation voucher. do i get flight tickets or just a reference number to give the airport? if this is all i need do i get it now or later when the balance is paid? do i also need to confirm with the airline that times have not changed nearer the time or do travel republic inform you of any changes? hope i've done the right thing in using this company, reading over this forum there is mixed reviews on them. my flight is with monarch, is it 20 kg luggage and 5 kg hand?
sorry to ask so much but i hope someone can help.

Hi Ali, your acccommodation voucher will be posted to you if you did not provide an email address. If you paid the full amount, it will be posted in the next few days. If you paid a deposit, it will be posted when the balance is paid.

If your flight is with Monarch direct, you will not need tickets and can travel with the receipt we will post you. If your flights is with an ATOL spplier that uses Monarch airline, like Avro or Cosmos, then you will get tickets in the post about 2 weeks before departure.

With direct bookings on Monarch, you need to pay for hold baggage, whereas if you have booked with Avro or Cosmos, hold baggage is included in the cost. If you PM me your booking ref, I can confirm which applies to you.

Can anyone tell me if the company Travel Republic is kosher? I've seen some good bargains but have never used them before. Can anyone advise please.

I've used it before and had no problems. I find that it is a great site for comparing prices and getting the best deals, top marks to them.

I've used them twice and experienced no problems. The most recent was to extend my recent trip to Tenerife for an extra 4 days.

Just booked to go to Fuengirola with travel republic in may - used them before very reliable as are alpha rooms. ;)

Have paid today with Travel Republic. Used previously, never had a problem. Tenerife for a month in May/June. Had made a mistake with hotel booking for first week, email to TR sorted out my mistake, new hotel inserted at no extra charge, deposit just transfered.
Can only speak as one finds. A1 so far.
I do complain when things are wrong.
Only gripe is 1% charge for Debit card useage. 2% for credit card. How else can you pay and not incur a charge?

Mum and Dad are on their return flight from Lanzarote as I type. I booked through TR, originally an XL flight but they eventually secured Monarch flights. I can only confirm what Steve's said, they received their hotel and flight confirmations once the balance was paid.

Steve, just to let you know that everything went smoothly and from what they've told me from resort by phone they've had a fab holiday. All that's left now is for ATOL to cough up the money paid for the XL flight that never was ;)

steve, recieved a letter today confirming the hotel but nothing about the flight, do you know why. when i checked flight on TR web site it had no reference number like the hotel did. would this come seperate?

Hi Ali, the hotel invoice/receipt was sent out the day after the flight receipt according to our system!

I can see a supplier reference in your booking, so all is ok. I have just checked the manage your booking section on our website and all you can see as a supplier ref is a '.'. Thanks for pointing this out. I will get our IT team to help.

I have asked our dispatch team to post you another receipt for the flight. In a week or so you will also get an ATOL receipt from the flight supplier. So we will keep in touch!

How's the feeling in your office Steve with the court case looming in Feb for Travel Republic?

Are the credit cards coming after your company for equal liability under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, to pay back consumers?

hi...all.........have just spoken to the c.a.a.......and they have requested more information from me that appears travel republic should have sent them.........
have also been informed it could take up to four months more yet .......
what a carry on ...........and thats not a film title....."YET"..............

thankyou very much. i did today recieve the flight confirmation! i guess i am just inpatient and worrying unnecessary. the flight confirmation does show the reference. sorry to be a pain but 1 more question... it states to check the flight times 48 hours before on the web site, does that mean travel republic wesite or avro? its not clear who's site to check with.
