Just wanted to share my story in the hope that it helps speed up the process of your refunds...
I booked flights and hotel through travel republic, submitted my claim the day XL went bust and have been playing the waiting game since September.
I have just received a letter from CEGA today confirming they are transferring full flight refund into my bank account. I have been calling them on a fortnightly basis to keep up to date with what was going on with my claim, and would advise anyone waiting to do the same. During my last call to them they confirmed they are now authorised to refund Travel Republic customers, and within a few days they sent out an assignment form for me to sign, which I returned to them less than a week ago. Don't let them forget about you - I suspect they are sending out a few of these assignment forms at a time to spread both the workload and the repayments out, and it would seem a call (or 5!) is all it takes to speed up the process a bit.

Flight money has been refunded into my account today from CEGA,
now just the rest of it to persue, the battle continues.

I received a letter from Travel Republic on March 5th, saying i will be receiving my form from the CAA in the next couple of days. Still waiting, can someone please give me a phone no to the CAA show i can get intouch with someone to try and speed it up. Thanks

i am looking for a little reassurance. i called CAA on wednesday and they said my refund had been authorised on tuesday. i know it';s the bank holiday at the mo, but i still haven't received it and i'm starting to worry that they may have puunched in the wrong account details etc......is that possible?? or do address and account numbers have to match etc.
i spoke to my sister who is in the travel business and she said it depends on their equipment, does anyone have any ideas?? i'm sorry i guess after the 7 month wait i'm just freaking out a bit

i have just checked my bank account and the CAA have refunded all of my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it happened today, as this morning it wasn't there. i will sleep well tonight!
