Mallin - Sounds like you leave a couple of days before I do. Travelling PE with Virgin from Gatwick too. 6 nights at Signature then two nights in a new 'Rush' room at the Golden Nugget downtown, then another 6 nights at the Signature. Have got tickets booked for Scissor Sisters at the Palms so far. Am looking to probably go to Le Reve and Lion King as well. Getting a 4x4 for a few days when we go down to the Golden Nugget, do the usual shopping, jet-skiing at Lake Mead and maybe choose to drive somewhere on one of the other days. I am soooooooooo looking forward to it this year, even more so than the last few years, not sure why but I can't wait!! :D

Have a great time everybody!

Cheers,

TC

What date do you go Tee Cee? We're 3rd September, so 2 weeks on Friday for us. Can't get excited really because I've hardly got time to think about it. In the middle of house move just now, need to be moved on Saturday this week, and house isn't in a very fit state right now to move into :cry I think I might pack for Vegas from this house, then just juggle the stuff a little.

Lesley - we leave on the 7th. I certainly wouldn't want to move at the same time, far too stressful! Good luck with the move

Cheers

We go on the 6th staying at Excalibur for 4 nights then off to Zion and Bryce for 5, back to vegas for 5, couldn,t afford the Signature too expensive for us although we have stayed in the mgm studio rooms last year, think it took us 1/2hr to walk to the entrance, have watched the cubs grow into lions though, love all cats.We have watched lion king(no pun intended)which is amazing, Hubby is not into musicals unfortunately, only the Eagles tour

Hi, we are off to Vegas for new year as the last port of call on our trip. My lovely mother in law to be has arranged for 6 of us to go to New york (3 nights) Cancun (13nights) and Vegas (4 nights) its in celebration of her 50th bday which takes place on 15th december (we leave on the 11th) I have to admit Vegas would never have been my choice I am just not in to the casino, tacky, overpriced type thing but I am guessing NYE will be pretty special and of course the Grand Canyon is a must see. What kind of weather will we expect to have at that time of year? We are staying at the Mirage which looks pretty good. :)

Expect it to be cold at that time of year and extremely busy as NYE is the busiest night in Vegas.

I can imagine it will be busy, has anyone actually been there on NYE? I have no idea what to expect. When you say cold, do ya reckon it will be really freezing (as I imagine New York will be!) or just a bit chilly? Sorry to ask all the questions but I have only ever been to America once and that was New York in June 2004!!

I've not seen Nathan Burton but I think it's a good price
according to the website

A dinner buffet is offered seven nights a week from 4pm to 10pm for $24.99 per person. (Holiday buffet and prices may vary.)

I've just printed off 2 coupons to exchange as far as I can tell you can use the dining coupon at any time

Luci will you be there....I know you were considering another trip this year....just wondered if you'd decided

Luci - Meet would be good. I know we only very briefly cross over with you though, as discussed already.

I'd love to meet some of the others too if anyone is up for it?

Getting new windows fitted tomorrow and moving lots of stuff in the car tomorrow. Probably shouldn't be piddling about on here, but it's good stress relief. I don't know what i used to do with all my time before painting etc!!! Never mind...have got the holiday toiletries all packed up with the ACG, just need to think about clothes etc for Vegas after the move. Have also printed everything we need just in case I don't have time afterwards!

Lesley 74...how long are you there for??
We arrive on 29th Sept...you'll probably be gone by then
Reply
Yes, we'll be gone by then. I think only pebbles stays that long :D

Looking forward to it. Had a day moving lots of stuff today, and also had to go the the lawyers. Would you believe it they've found another person in Scotland with hubby's name who is bankrupt and our buyer is getting fussy about it. We've got concluded missives so I would wonder what they plan to do about it. I mean the person lived in the other side of the county, and it is probably a common name! Can't believe they done a search link that so close to the transfer date (Monday). They actually requested an affadavit to say it's not him. The joys. I'll be ready for my holiday to Vegas that's for sure!

nathan burton comedy magic show and buffet for $29.95 at flamingo apparently
Reply
Ah yes, I remember seeing that. We're not keen on the Flamingo buffet at any price. It hasn't been great the last couple of visits, but they are cheap for a Champagne brunch at the weekend.

Will let Lesley answer that one.

See answers to your questions in the other thread.
