Ahh...that sounds like a good deal then. I'm still considering whether or not we'd get into a room early enough to use the pool if we only stayed one night though.
Been reading up on the Harrah's buffet deal $30 24 hour pass. Just think if you bought it at 8pm one night you could get dinner, breakfast, lunch, dinner saving quite a bit. Obviously wouldn't be pigging out 4 times within 24 hours though, so it's good if you don't feel the need to make a profit by eating as much as you can at buffets
Also includes Planet Hollywood too since they're now owned by Harrah's.
The buffet deal is now $34.99 for Total Rewards members and $39.99 for others.
Hopefully this means the offer will be continued into September then, at least them revising it means they're not going to just cancel it! I suppose it's a money spinner from them, and it keeps people wandering through their properties possibly gambing along the way.
It was originally going to be for a limited period, but I think they posted on their Facebook page that it now didn't have an expiry date.
I'm seriously thinking about bidding on Priceline because we'd take the Trump (been thinking about Trump anyway). Someone got it for $83 11-13th. That's Sat, Sun nights. We need 13-18th (mon, tue, wed, thur, fri). So they had 50% weekend nights, we've got 20%. I'll compare hotwire rates for the dates then maybe give it a bash. Their dates are $99 on hotwire, ours are $92. I'm going to go start at $70 or so and see what happens. Of course I don't mind if I end up with any of the other 5* in the area anyway!
Done! Bid £47 for Trump (north strip vicinity), rejected. Did a free rebid with £49 and North Strip (which would be Wynn, Venetian etc that was rather unlikely anyway!), and got Trump! $105 per night on their website. Plus resort fee of course.
I will be interested to hear how long it takes to walk to the strip. It looks quite far off, but it's probably the same or less than the Signature.
We're at the Encore at the moment in a south facing room and have a fantastic view of the strip. Vegas is jumping this weekend as it was the Kentucky Derby today and the Mayweather v Mosley fight is tonight.

Thanks Luci, I thought it was a good price too for a good hotel. I looked online and it doesn't look too far from the strip. I'm also thinking we could cut into Fashion Show Mall (Trump entrance opposite the car parks), if it's too hot to walk during the date etc.
I was looking at Trump this morning and would guess it would take about 10 mins to walk along the road to the strip. If you can cut through the FSM then it would seem much quicker.
Vegas is a lot busier today than we've seen it the past few trips. I thought it might have quietened down once the weekend crowd went home, but it doesn't seem that way.

Glad to learn that LV is starting to liven up outside the weekends! We're there in just under 6 weeks ( at our place there, apart from a couple of nights on the Strip at the MGM Grand) Glad it will be lively!
We went to the Premium Outlets on the new Ace Gold and it wasn't that busy, not like when we've gone on the Deuce and it's been standing room only.
Also we went to the Spice Market for breakfast just before 9 expecting to have to queue for 10 mins, but we walked straight in.
OH's eyes were out on stalks there. All the contestants for Miss America were there for breakfast dolled up to the nines, with their sashes on and in 6" spiked heels!

I know you will know the answer to this Luci - can you please sort out the different parts of MGM for me?
We have booked (thanks to your link) the 222 offer which is at The MGM Grand. in a Grand Tower room. I am assuming that our room will be in Tower 1, 2 or 3. but what is The Signature and The West Wing?
Thank you
The Signature is 3 totally separate towers a 5 min walk from the back of the MGM. The rooms are all suites with kitchenettes.
The West Wing is the old part of the hotel and is near the Lion Habitat. The rooms there are really small with a tiny window. If they offer you an "upgrade" to a WW room at check in I would recommend refusing it.
The freebies you have on the 222 Offer should be charged to your room. You can check your account on the TV and they shouldn't show, but if they do just call the Front Desk to have them taken off.
You can also check out using the TV.
The monorail is at the back of the MGM for easy access to the rest of the strip.
I said that Vegas was quite quiet earlier on. That must have been a blip as it's really busy again.
Temperatures are a lot lower this year than normal due to El Nino.

I was looking for reviews on Tripadvisor but didn't know what exactly to search for as there were so many splits for MGM such as skylofts, suites, tower, West Wing and Signature etc.
I have now searched under "MGM Grand Hotel & Casino." The May 2010 reviews are quite mixed but in the past I've often been amazed at reviews of hotels that we've been to and wondered if the reviewers were in the same place as me.. It's that old adage, "you can't please all of the people all of the time."
PS - one more thing Luci, we have a 40% offer on Cirque KA tickets on selected dates - through Guest Exclusive (although it only goes up to July at the moment). Would we best to use this or buy at one of the ticket booths when we get there?
Thank you once again Luci.
A lot of Americans seem to knock MGM because they have to walk more than 20 yards to get anywhere!
The Grand Tower rooms we've had have been great and the Celebrity Spa Suite was something else, well worth the extra $30/night if you are offered it.
Remember to read the reviews on here, although they may not be as recent.
There is an offer on Cirque tickets at the moment from $50, but I don't know if it covers your dates. That is probably they best you are going to get, but do a comparison.

To give you an idea how good that offer is, at the half price ticket booth today, Love was priced at $93-106 instead of $150-173. Can't remember if they had Ka, but I think they did.

I have found some photos of the rooms for you so you can see the difference between the Grand Tower and the West Wing
GRAND TOWER ROOMS
WEST WING ROOMS
The GT are around 450 sq ft and the WW 350 sq ft.
The Celebrity Spa Suite is similar to the Bungalow Suite on the first link expect it has a huge jacuzzi instead of a regular bath and it is 694 sq ft.

Another result - the $50 dollar deal is possibly the same one as our guest inclusive offer because the code of MGM is the same except that on MGM's own link it cut off at the end of July. I followed your link and it had dates up to October - so our week in August was there. I've just booked 2 tickets for KA in Row D (right near the front ) for $125. That's just $55 each plus $15 fee. WOW We've seen lots of Cirque shows but never in a purpose built theatre - we looked at preview clips and it looks amazing. Another exciting thing booked.
I don't know how people manange holidays without thorough research and planning. It never ceases to amaze me how helpful and knowledgable people are on here.
Grateful thanks once again for your time and energy.
PS - the pics were great too
One other Cirque show I would recommend, and I think it's in the $50 offer, is Beatles' Love at the Mirage. I would grab some tickets now if you are interested as that offer can disappear as quickly as it appeared.
If you do go for them, don't go for the expensive tickets as you get a better view of everything from further back.

hi lesley, we are going to the vdara in september, booked it yesterday can't wait
