Thanks Jakki and welcome back, how are you?
Not bad thanks Minione. Already got two trips booked to Turkey for this year - a couple of weeks at Easter and then six weeks in the summer. I was lucky enough to get a job in a school - with the associated long holidays!!
Jak, congratulations on your new job. I am glad to hear you are still able to visit your house in Turkey, take care

blondie608,
please confirm if we booked a holiday to Turkey in June and then another in July, would we be OK to return so quickly
and if so, do we just draw their attention to the date stamped in the Passport so we would not have to pay again for the Visas in July? Thanks.
Yes, that's correct
Thanks Kedi (and Les) - Turkey here we come!!!!!
is it still £10 for the entry visa . been hearing tales its gone up to £12 ..
It was £10 in February when I was there.
It is still £10
I will be flying in to Turkey with my baby daughter - who will be 7 months old at the time - will we need to pay £10.00 for a visa for her too?
Everybody - including babies and children needs a visa.
dont put a £20.00 note in thinking it will cover you for 2 people - have heard stories where they have taken the £20 note and asked for another £10.00 note - so play safe and do £10.00 per passport per person
So when I go back next month I’m expecting that I don’t have to pay another £10 for another stamp since it will be well within the 180 day period.
However – I don’t personally know anyone who’s managed this. Does one simply march confidently up to the passport control guy and wave the page showing the old stamp?
Does it actually work OK?
Since my Turkish language skills are just a bit limited to “Good Morning, one beer please, thankyouâ€
- I’m a bit concerned I get into a discussion I cannot handle.
I did look at the Turkish govt website
http://www.turkishconsulate.org.uk
and this still seems to talk of 90 day visas with no mention of the 180 day validity.
Yes, it will work, just show your valid visa at passport control and they will stamp it and off you go!
We simply opened the passport at the page with the visa on. They stamped it again - no problems
We fly out to Dalaman airport on Monday evening.I apologise in advance because I guess my question has been answered previously on this forum, but, Is it right that the £10 has to be a new note?
