I think Candolimlover could be one of our gang, if it wasn't for the credit crunch and the fall in the housing market our property would be on the market now and instead of 3 weeks in November it would be for a lot longer. See you both soon.

After a not so good Goa holiday earlier this year and putting a negative on here, we have decided to give it another go. So we're now flying out on Sat 28th Feb 2009 from Gatwick and staying in Sth Goa as usual ( 9th ) time . My OH has said if it's not good next time the Goa will be off the books for good, ( he's at work at the moment ) but I love the place still and want our usual 2 hols a year there --- but he's having none of it, . I think it was the general attitude and beach sellers that has turned him against Goa , but not the genuine Goan people

I just so agree candolimlover , Gemma..... and all of you posting above, we live in Goa most of the time but get 'moany' and negative at times (well particularly this season) but when we get back to the UK for a while its an absolute nightmare... within as little as a week... so stressful.. so much doom and gloom...so cold!!..... so much bad news and terrible violence and crime....so EXPENSIVE... its unbelieveable how much we notice it all now.... when we lived in the UK full time it didnt seem AS bad, or we didnt realise but give me my Goa any day!! even after travelling over the rest of India its such a relief to get back to 'chilled, comfortable' Goa!!
I suppose we all just get a bit complacent about how many things are good there and focus on the wrong things at times?
