I'm with you there Chilly, I thought Lazy days was going to be the Wednesday night meet venue and we were just deciding on a venue for the Sunday night in Candolim; Annapuna bar does sound good because it is on the main road, near the well known "Elephant" shop and not far from the taxi's on Beach Road.
I will certainly be there over the christmas/new year period, see you all then :glynis

love jayne :wave

Hi everyone, yes the idea is to still use Lazy day's on a Wed, but to add Sundays in Candolim as an extra night, If you can wait 2 weeks I will do a rece for a suitable venue, personally not too keen on Anapura, but will be happy to go with the majority,

:) I'm happy for Annapura. Vodka and sprite is very cheap in there, meals are cheap and good and it's in Candolim (where I stay). Two weeks tomorrow I'll be on the plane!!

I used to like Anapurna, until a rat ran past my table, the final straw was their refusal to accept a 500 rupee note because it had a small tear in it, although the note was complete.

I like the idea about a sunday meeting point in Candolim. That is where I'm staying while in Goa.
Rats I've seen plenty of in rooms close to the beach, they seemed quite fond of my papaya a year ago. A rat made a hole in my papaya (on top of a high fridge) and spat out the seeds beside the papaya and ate the rest from the inside and out!
That happened twice...
About the refusal of the note I'm on your side Lin B.

So....where are we going to meet in Candolim? I'm arriving 11:th of november and are staying for 11 days. That is two sundays....

Why not meet in a shack? My favorit is "Franciscos", 4-5 shacks north of where lin b had her wedding.
I was present at that shack when she had her wedding but did not realise that until I got home and read about it. Not that I would crash in on it or anything...
But the pictures of the poledancing made me regret not paying a visit.. :-)

Last year a new place opened, It was called something like Mai thai, just behind the Mermaid, although I havn't used it, but know some of the lads who work there, I thought this may make a good place as it is new and not very busy at the moment, I think they also have a chef who used to work in The royal Thai restaurant.

Hi Lin :D . I went to mai tai last season. The food was lovely and if I'm right, there was a bar upstairs?? It had a lovely atmosphere there and the guys that run it were very pleasant. It would be nice to give a new restaurant some more business too perhaps, rather than the established ones? What does everyone else think? :?

Hi Ev, how lovely to see you back, the reason I thought this would be a good place was the same as you have stated, it is new, the lads very friendly and could do with a boost, I have only chatted to the guys as they pass my place or when they were giving leaflets out on the beach. it has got the upstairs bar. There are many established places, but they are generaly usually busy before we all decend on them.

Never been to Mai Tai but was in the Bistro one night last season and the racket coming from Mai Tai Karaoke was awful...............just thought It was worth mentioning so that you can plan the meet ups on a karaoke free night.
