Can anyone recommend any good jewellers in the olu deniz
Hi, I visited Olu (got back yesterday) and didnt have any intention or anything of buying jewellery, however I had 2 different experiences with Jewellers. I can highly recommend the Jewellers called tria, as you walk down the street towards the beach they are on the right hand side. Telephone number is +902526170724. I went in to buy a ring, but fell in love with a design of a pendant, when I passed the next day, they had made the pendant in the stones and settings that I had wanted and said I liked, they are already designing for me, matching earrings, bracelet and ring for when I return. If you do go there, ask for ask for a guy called Yakup (also goes by the English name of Rodney) I told him I would recommend them, if you do go, tell him that Karen recommended you and that it was me who bought the tanzanite and diamond pendant and he he used to play on Bradley( my sons) PSP each time we visited. It was an excellent service, and the item is absolutely stunning! I paid £1200 for an item that has been valued here at over 3 times the price, with diamonds and AAA Tanzanite. It really is stunning. There were also 2 other couples in there, who were returning for the 3rd year to upgrade their jewellery. They give a price guarantee for your item and will offset the full value of that on your next purchase if you return. They come with full insurance certificates and also an international certificate. but excellent service, and the designers in there are really nice. I also had all of the jewellery I was wearing cleaned and polished free, I have never seen it look so good! Cannot recommend them enough, and cannot wait to return to see the other pieces!
I would avoid the Infinity Jewellers which are down towards the beach end of the street on the left hand side. They have red signage and are on the corner, opposite Honey Moon Restaurant/Bar and Lagoon Travel, the guy was EXTREMELY pushy, I put down a deposit on a ring, to hold it while I made up my mind. He told me that if I didnt want it, there would be no problems or anything and that I could get my deposit back, when I did go to get it back, having bought the pendant, he wasnt very friendly, and actually made me feel very uncomfortable. Their stone and ring was of a less quality than tria, but more expensive too!
going to Marmaris for 2 weeks on 11th June
Looking for a "decent" jeweller where I can buy a gold chain as a birthday gift for my son
Any recommendations please for Marmaris or Icmeler and locations
Thanks
John
I was fed up looking in jeweller's windows and having people come out and hassle me. Te-Ta only has a small window so I stopped to have a look and no-one came out so I decided to risk going in. I asked about a ring in the window and it was only the equivalent of £15. When the owner saw my surprise, he explained that it wasn't a real stone (he could easily have fleeced me).
I was so impressed that we hung around and browsed and were free to do so without any hassle. Saw a few things that I liked and they weighed each piece before giving me the price. Ended up going back twice more, buying something each time, one of which is a yellow and white gold diamond cut bracelet and ring which I absolutely love.

The fiance and I are off to Side in July and was wondering if anyone could recommend a jewellers there? We may be looking for our wedding rings and of course the obligatory ear rings and maybe some cufflinks for me .

Hi Gateshead61, We use DAL Jewellers in Icmeler, they are located on the same side of the road as Tansas but about 300 yards further down. They stand on a corner at the end of a parade of shops that are on a raised paved area, opposite Pyramid Restaurant.
Thanks Les
wonder if anyone can recommend any jewellers near Kadikalesi, which I believe is also near turgutreis
thanks in advance for any help
i bought a 14kt 7 diamond ring in queen jewellers in marmaris and paid a lot of money for it. wanted it in yellow gold but when i came home i had it valued and even though i didn't pay too much for it i found out it was really a white gold ring coated in yellow gold. i have since found out queen jewellers are closed and wondered does anyone know if they are trading anywhere else or do they know any jeweller in marmaris who would buy it off me. i no long want the ring as i didn't get what i paid for
I bought Hubby a turkish wedding ring from one of the big jewellers along the main strip in Marmaris, the ring broke and the jewellers are no longer there either! I have found the Jewellers in the bazar to be still there year after year!
4 years ago in Marmaris I bought both my girls a ring....still going strong.
I've also bought earings for all 3 of us and really expensive drop earings for my mum....all were what I paid for and still whole.Got them in the Bazzar shop with the fish tank dunno what it's called
I think it's luck of the draw.
Can someboby please tell me if u can buy jewellery in white gold and if so is it better value than in England.
My advice is to shop around and get an idea on prices remember you must barter and dont pay the first price you are quoted.
I've always found the jewellery I buy always values up more over here.
Happy shopping
I buy white gold in altinkum and always find it excellent value. But as said above remember never pay the first price.
I bought white gold and diamond ear rings in Fhetiye, beautiful as already said dont pay first price barter. We got a good dicount we were offered them at £700, discounted down to £450, the boss came in as i was unsure if i really wanted to spend that amount, had only gone in for every day style ear rings, he gave them to me for £350, going to have them valued, watch this space.
Were newbies to Turkey and are reluctant about buying gold etc.
I have bought thousands of pounds worth of jewellery in turkey and never once have i been ripped off or disapointed.
Be carefull, This topics been covered in the forum plenty times before have a hunt through and you will find the other Posts, The majority of people who purchase gold seem to be very very happy with it, As when they return home and get it valued it is valued at a lot more than they paid for it in Turkey, Follow others advice particularly with the shops they buy the gold from.
I dont wear much gold but a few years ago hubby bought me a lovely white and yellow gold bracelet he paid about £60 for it and it was valued at double when we got home. In Sept my daughter came with us and had been looking to buy diamond earrings at home I told her to wait and see what prices like in Turkey she did and was so pleased the jewellers took time to explain about different diamonds and the counter was full of diamonds so we could see the difference she paid £500 for a really good quality diamond .6 of a carat at home for that price she could only have .3 carat. When she got home she took them to be valued and was told they were worth at least £1000 they were 18 carat white gold with platinum claws and the diamonds were at least .6 of a carat so she is going back next year for a necklace.
