Posted earlier , under Alfresco dining .
The hot fav ( will be july next year) is at the moment
Wow Bodrum Resort, thanks for suggestions and Yes I have read the reviews.
But fussy pair , would like more info
Alfresco dining even possible in the standard dining area
( hated the run ... at 7'30 last year )
Require shade , yes I go red / burn etc ( why go to Turkey in July !!!!)
Last year was our first Ai , liked getting the bottles of ice water
( yes I know others will ask about alcohol , but us , its water.)
Will I get bottles of water??
Wine at dinner , only require a glass but last year , not a great choice.
Are the toilets still '3rd world?
Gumbet better than Side??

We are looking at the hotel WOW- because they have inlimited drinks- great pools - and free water entertainment for the 22/23 year olds and maybe us oldies!!!
Is it all free water sports? sometimes there are hidden extras!
Unlimited drinks? are they drinkable?
Do they have a disco?
Again I'm a pain for asking these questions but as you know - dont ask and you will never no- and i appreciate any feed back - GOOD AND BAD
Yes we all have to make our own way in life - but -someones knowledge of this hotel would be a great help- as we part with our hard earned cash !!!!!!!!! (donations welcome)
Once again thanks

You have chosen a nice hotel, WOW is the best AI hotel in Gumbet, right at the end of the beach but still only 15 minutes to the centre of the resort. You can walk along the road or stroll along the ebach to reach the centre.
I can't tell yo about watersports but the unlimited drinks will be local ones and they should all be drinkable. The beer is Efes, and I think it is very nice , you will also get local vodka, gin etc plus raki (be careful with this one, it is very strong). I don't think you will get any imported spirits included in the free drinks though.
Have a great time

The brochure states some international branded drinks included.Mini bar in room is free as are pool/beach towels. We go in July, booked it this week.
The pool is excellent & you could all ways get a sun bed at the pool. Music & games played around the pool most of the day, and it is good fun when you join in, this is where you start to meet other people from around the world.
Beach is aslo good to chill out on, there are large cushsions on the harbour were you can make your base, bring some bread with you from the restaurant so you can feed the fish. There is also a beech bar were you can get your drinks from.
The Restaurants are great & you have to book your al a carte restaurants over the phone at 9.00am in the morning so you get a place. We always had are evening meals on the balcony.
Before we would go for are evening meal, try the top bar by the reception where they you can have champagne which is ice cold and you can watch the boat go by in the sea.
The night entertaiment is also good, shows in the ampy theatre & then bands on stage area.
One thing we would reccommend is the beach party where you can join in the fun and drinking games on the beach, also they have a BBQ.
You will meet people from all over the world which was a good thing for us, and all in all we had a great time there and we think that if anyone goes they will enjoy as much as us.
We have booked for the WoW Topkapi Palace for this year.
Would it be a double room or twin room -
Not much diff in price - but not sure of the room difference
And do they all look towards the sea or pool?
many thanks again

Same for me. Top 2 are working, but not the 3rd one.

How far isthe resort to Antalya??
I've never been to Turkey.......am looking at the WOW Bodrum Resort. Can anyone advise if it is suitable for someone using a mobility scooter? I can see from photos that the pool is ok as there are steps in at one end which would be fine, but from the rooms to resturant to pool - are there flat areas or slopes???????

A long way, around 300 miles (450km). It would take about 6 hours to drive without stopping or 8 hours on the bus.
Hi, just returned from the WOW on Wednesday. There are slopes and lifts so it is possible to get around on a scooter but it is quite spread out and you may have to go twice as far to get anywhere if you are looking for the ramps. I would recommend e-mailing guest relations before you go, ask them for a room near the main pool and restaurant, we did and our room was in a great position. There are a few rooms that are actually poolside but these would be very noisy until quite late so I would avoid those even though they have the best view. It's a fab hotel which I would definitely recommend. I will do a review on here when I have finished all the holiday washing and ironing!
