At the moment i beleave promotion code telegraph is working for £15 off per person 
Just went to book a flight with Excel and they no longer accept a deposit for flights with final payment 8 weeks prior to departure, so now need to consider wacking it on the credit card as I won't have all the money until January but don't want to risk loosing the flight as it will save us £400+ over the next best price.

dksbbs try booking through flightline.co.uk we booked our excel flight to corfu through them as they still take a deposit on excel flights

Just checked and they are £250 more expensive for the 7 of us than on the XL website, I will use the CC as even with interest it is a lot cheaper.

tesco is giving £10 off
Just checked the cost of the flight I booked this morning to Bodrum for £284 for us both and it is now £304. They must have changed the MOD code today as I used it this morning for £15 off
Is any one booked on flight XLA007 from Manchester to Alicante on 6TH August?I have had a letter today stating that this has now been cancelled due to a comercial decision by the airline.What exactly does this mean and does this happen often?Could it be that they have overbooked and are just fobbing me off.

Overbooking this much in advance of a flight is unlikely. I just took a look at Excel web site and there appears to be no flights for the 6th August - flights are available on the 4th and the 5th. My guess is that they have simply withdrawn the flights on the 6th.
Have they offered you an alternative or just a refund?

Hi Pippa,they have moved us to the flight on Sun 5TH Aug.They have told me i can cancel or amend free of charge,but wont they charge me the extra for going on a day flight?
They shouldn't do as it was excel themselves that cancelled your original flight - don't quote me on that though!! Excel don't have the best of customer service reputations.
