Overall this resort is of an excellent standard and highly reccomemded. Cleanliness was excellent until after 9.00pm each evening when refuse bins began to overflow.
Every Hotel/restaurant seemed to provide some form of live entertainment everey evening. You must visit the Lucky Eye Cocktail bar any night between 9+10 pm.
The beach was to a Blue Flag standard and cleaned each evening.

This was the second visit for myself the 8th for my husband. We are returning next year but we will be booking for the luna hotel as it is in middle of resort and right on beach. Golden sands is a beautiful resort the people are friendly, it is very good value for money. the water park is good and also the dolphin arena is worth visiting. Dicker man restuarantis worth a visit the food is excellant and the staff are brill.

This is a lovely resort. It does get rather noisy at night but you can avoid these areas and still find something to do. There are bars everywhere and if you plan it right you can drink half price cocktails all night by moving bars for the happy hours!
The beach is really clean although you do have to pay 15 leva for a lounger, mattress and umbrella. You can just put a towel down on the sand but only in certain areas.
Lovely, friendly people working in the bars. Especially Mamma Mia's steakhouse. Visit there.

Been going to Golden sands since 1994 have seen lots of changes some good some not good. The cleanliness of the resort has fallen as there is a lot of rubbish lying every where and lots of broken beer bottles.
The beach is still spotless. There are now lots of clubs, casinos and discos. Also more beggers and ladies of the night, which is getting worse and children begging for money.
This used to be a family resort, but it is getting more for the young people with so many disco and karaoke clubs So for us it is to noisy,will have to look for a quiter resort probably Albena.

Golden sands is clean and the people are friendly. The prices are low and there is plenty on offer.
The menus in the resturants are generally all the same with salads, pizza, pork and chicken being offered.
A lovely beach with watersports on offer.

Golden Sands very good resort now near completion, some good bargains around,very cheap for meals and drinks, lots for kids to do, but after a few nights(7 more than enough) gets a bit boring,beaches are great and plenty water sports, kids loved it. Lots of market stalls, and restuarants to choose from.Would book again, but recommend 4/5 star hotels.

Golden sands is the nice part of Bulgaria and a bit more relaxing and chilled compared to Sunny Beach.
There is enough entertainment for eveyone young and old. I would rate this resort 5 out 5.

We only went to the beach area once on first night, and it looked like the local refuse site. Entertainment was nil just a few bars. St konstantine and golden sands were much better I would not recommend a.o.a. in Bulgaria at all

We visited Golden Sands for 2 weeks in July. I loved this resort, the restaurants are all really nice, great cocktail bars and great nightclubs! I would also reccomend a visit to the aqua park.
The only complaint I have is the taxi drivers. It's almost impossible to walk anywhere without being asked for a lift somewhere - and some could be pretty rude if you said no thank you!

At the top end of the resort there is a quite beach behind the marina the beach bars are really cheap 1 lev (30p) for a pint 4 course meal inc drinks £8 !!.
Plenty of night life for all Blue Dolphin cocktail bar £1.80 for 4 yes 4 cocktails.
We had a ball go in taxi to Varna even cheaper than resort and great shops.
Nessebar is also worth a vist book yourself it is half of what our tour operator wanted
