The resort was as nice as anywhere I have ever stayed. It was extremely clean, there were loads of restaurants and we never head a bad meal, the beach was lovely and the sea clean and calm, all in all a very pleasant experience!

We visited golden sands in 06 and liked it that much we have just returnd this year. we noticed a chnge in the resort in just a year, it was clean before but seems even better, everynight a big truck comes around cleaning the streets. entertainment at night- for kids, bungee jumps(catapults), bouncy slides, pony rides, mini golf, and for the grown ups- bungees-only a lot bigger believe me- live music in most bars, an elvis show in The Rocks, dancing show in the Sirena pool, a big wheel ride. you will always be able to find something to do. in our party both adults and kids were kept amused 24/7. we went last year, this year and intend to return next year. A Wonderful resort!

The resort was brilliant, really enjoyable .
Food was nice enough, really good place for shopping, beach was beautiful, the people were very helpful and friendly. There was entertrainment every wher you went and did not cost a penny.
Golden Sands is suitable for all ages .

the beach isnt the cleanest i have seen. the nightlife is good for people who like clubbing lots of them. not really much for kids to do aprat from the big wheel dodgems and trampolins water cars and stuff. a taxi anywhere within the resort was 10lev or the the train which goes around the resort was 2lev a person. there are some nice swimming pools around the resort one we went to was at the cocktail pool bar which was free all you paid for was the sunlonugers which was 5lev a person for all day you could leave your stuff and go back to the hotel for lunch then come back and it is right on the beach so you can go into the sea and not get full of sand all day ot also had three slides which you could use free of charge sunloungers on the beach where 25lev for 2 per day. at the end of the resort was another pool with 2 bug water slides with an inflatable in which was quite expensive if you have 2 children 25lev per child for unlimited goes on the slide and the inflatable was 5lev for all day plus 5lev for sunloungers i wouldnt bother its cheaper to go to the water park. water park is not that big and only a 5minute walk from the madara it was about 84lev for 2adults and 2children as it goes off height what you pay the water park is only small with about 6big slides we did spend a full day there dont bother with the food in the waterpark its rubbish if u do eat stick to chips or pizza. the muppets bar is very good though kids seem to go from about 10.30ish though you could keep them with you but me and my cousin did stay out without the kids and i personally wouldnt have kept my children out in the muppets bar after 11ish as it does get quite busy and is abit mad we loved it and got very drunk off sex on the beach cocktails beware of them we had to be carried home and could hardly move out of bed for a full day but was good at the time

golden sands a nice resort but found it more expenseve than sunny beach but i'd still prefer it and its proximity to varna is a plus

Hotel at quieter end of resort and bit far out for me,train does take you further up but beware we stopped it to come back a few times and it went right past us.The entertainment was ok further into resort but as weather wasn't too good we didn't venture out far at night.The beach was excellent and clean but beds and brolly's most expensive i have ever seen on a holiday.The resort was very clean but a lot of stray dogs walking around by hotel.This resort was a bit too quiet for me,and once you've looked at one shop you have looked at them all.

great resort , loads going on , my teenage son loved it , weve been here three times and would definately go back, cheap food , beer and shopping , the water park is walking distance away. the beach is lovely and altough you have to pay for a sun lounger it at least means you dont have to get up at stupid o clock to put your towels on one !!!this is a vey hilly resort with poor lighting and pavements so be careful you see a lot of broken legs here !!!

The resort of Golden Sands is very lively. Non stop in fact. The beach was okay but no comparison to Majorca,Spain or Canaries. Very expensive you are charged for everything even to go to the toilet.

The worse thing we found was that our lovely Golden Sands with the clean streets and laid back atomsphere has now gone for good. Where what we had found in the last 5 visits was a good mixture of couples, Familys with old and young of all nationalites mixing with spotless clean streets has become the new Ibiza for German and Finnish 16-30's. And this is not just confined to party street. At least the young drinkers were in a party nature and at no point did we see or hear of any trouble ( might be something to do with the Brits being vastly outnumbered ) But there were signs of over drinking even in the early evening 8pm there were young kids who had far to much to drink.
The resort itself has lost some of it's charm with the side roads and verges being a dumping ground for rubbish that we had never seen before. The locals are still as friendly as ever and can not do enough to help. The beach is as clean as ever but they have made it all privtae now with only a metre or two before the shoreline being free so you have to hire a sunbed or parasol before you can sit on the beach
