All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

Keep away please.
No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

The resort was clean. Entertainment wasn't what I prefer when I am on holiday as it was mainly bars. I prefer clubs. Although we did find this bar called scandals and next door there was a live band playing every night who were fantastic playing everything from U2 to eagles. The beach was fab, there was a luvly breeze during the day which cooled you down while sun bathing.
The resort at the night is not safe. Avoid the young guys driving about with the music blaring from these bike type taxis, we were taken to somewere we didnt know, then charged 100 lev for a journey that shouldn't have taken so long. The guy was very aggressive towards us so I would avoid these at night especially. I also witnessed 4 young girls hiring a golf cart then crashing into an innocent lady sitting with a braiding stall so watch out when walking along the promenade.
The food wasn't all that great for me either, I found myself eating pizza, hot dogs and mcdonalds most of the time!
Bulgaria during the day is great, the markets are great with real good bargains. The beach is beautiful and the weather was amazing. Bulgaria by night is a different story, if you have had a few drinks be careful!

went to suuny beach for first time expecting to see lots of beggers as was told this before i went but the only people that really bothered you was the people that walk about the streets asking you if you want to buy there friut or people that stand outside the pubs and restraunts wanting you to go in. alot of places to go into. beach was really nice part from people makeing sure you didnt sit on the sun seats without paying.great resort would visit again hopefully next year again :)

This is my second time visiting Sunny Beach and will deffo be back again there are lots of things to do for every age group and make sure you stay in the Royal Beach Barcelo it fab!!!!!!!

Myself and my boyfriend picked Sunny Beach as we wanted a beach and drinking holiday, but also wanted to go somewhere with plenty of sightseeing and a bit of culture.
We loved the resort as there was so much to do. People have said the resort can be tacky but I disagree. Yes it is touristy, but it is not tacky. There are plenty of shops bars restaurants and clubs along the main strip.
Everywhere is really cheap, we were half board so didn't have an evening meal out except for the last night - we were able to both get a nice meal and a bottle of wine for about ten pounds. So many places to eat and all doing different types of food so even fussy eaters will be happy! The shops sell loads of nick nack type things but you can also get some cheap clothes, I got a few things that were so much cheaper than they would have been at home.
The bars are all cheap, places giving free shots and everywhere seems to have a happy hour on all the time so plenty of two for one cocktails! Plenty of choice of places to go so would recommend it to a young crowd wanting great nightlife. Clubwise we tried Disco Orange, Disco Mania and the Viking club. The Viking club is easily the best, but beware, it has a pole which seems to beckon to you once you have been on the cocktails!!
For sightseeing we went to Nessebar and Varna which I would recommend. If we had been there longer we probably would have done some more sightseeing.
There are a few great waterparks nearby, we loved the one near Nessebar and you can get a free busride there which takes less than 5 minutes.

the resort is very clean lots to do with the children.
theres macdonalds and kfc. the beach is very clean.
there are some great trips to go on, and the bulgarians

it is a beautyfull place everyone is so friendly the beach is clean and they come round selling fruit in a pint plastic glass that is gorgious there there is plenty of places to eat and not bad prices we found the further back you went the cheaper it got we found the bars the same too paying 1.20 a pint of there beer that is ok and i only drink carlsberg here to 33p further out i would definately go back

The resort itself was lovely there were always cleaners around the place and gardners tending to all the plants and gardens. Great for kids, entertainment all day and night, the Aqua park was great. What let it down were the amount of steps to and from the villas and the restaurant. The restaurant for the Villas was awful unless you like flies with your meal. If any one was to go I would go to one of the hotels instead.

im not sure what i think of sunny beach , i enjoyed my holiday but was expecting something more if honest. id heard all the reviews , but 2 me it wasnt as i expected , for 1 it was supposed to be cheap compared to home .. but it was bout the same . nitelife was one way or the other if you liked to sit and have a meal with a quiet drink you could or if you wanted full on party party you could ! but as we have two small children we found there was nothing for us. overall i would say great for couples and singles !

Sunney Beach outside of the Riu complex is an experience that we do not wish to repeat, sex shops & toys on sale on the promenade summed it up for us. The centre is perhaps one of the worst example of poor planning and control which is such a pity for the future of the resort.
The resort is one huge construction site. It is being over developed with more of the same. This will do little to encourage return visits!
We doubt if we will book to go to Bulgaria in the near future, which is a pity because the Bulgarians we met were nice people.

sunny beach is like the golden mile at blackpool
you are harassed for money harassed for food harassed for drink also about your size.beach dirty and you have to pay for beds and parasols even though you have paid half board at the hotel who owns the beds on the beach.
