We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

First of all the resort is very busy, can hardly walk in twos at night,i think it is supposed to be for pedestrians but there were golf buggies, taxi bikes and electric mopeds wizzing about as well as all the people.Shops, stalls all selling fake things from underware to winter outdoor clothing.I have also never seen so many tattoo shops. Not much entertainment going on just lots of bars to go to.Beer is cheap there 60p-£1 a pint.Beaches are kept clean, you have to pay for beds 6 lev for each bed and umbrella.Been there not for me maybe when i was younger, ages 42&45

The resort was lovely, and very very clean i think!
the entertainment at nights was perfect and i had some really good nights out with my friend and a few others we both met on holiday. the beach was lovely and i ejoyed a few days there with kath and a couple of other fiends we had met out there. There was plenty of activities to do on the beach such as the jet skis and bannah boats, The resort is lovely. i would defently come back!

Did not like the resort at all.
Far too busy. Hassled all the time from bars, restaurants, people trying to sell you stuff and all the time trying not to be knocked down by nutters on scooters, golf buggies, bike taxi's and other numerous wheeled transport!!!!
Most of the entertainment in the bars were the same entertainers going from bar to bar. Some are just terrible.
The beach was absolutely filthy!! Cigarette ends everywhere, Rubbish all over the place. Shame, as it could be so much nicer.
We did not like the resort at all and wished we had only been there for 1 week and not 2.

This a resort where there is something for everybody, if you want to party go to one end of Sunny Beach or if you want more peace go to the North end.
Many restaurants and bars with bands.
Paying for the sunchairs on the beach can prove expensive.
What I did not like to see are small crocodiles with their mouths taped up for hours for people to hold and be photographed. This activity should be banned.
Nessebar and Sozopol are absolute must places to visit and cost next to nothing on local transport (bus).
Warning on the beach if you leave your bag for a few minutes it can disappear, we learnt the hard way (we were stupid).

The resort is like a sunny blackpool! There is plenty of things for kids, families and aduls to do such as mini golf, rides, ten pin bowling, sea sports, water parks bungee jumps, bars, restaurants, nightclubs etc.
We found the resort was mainly full of other nationality's other than English and therefore would not really recommend for groups of friends as nightclubs/music etc is mainly catered for Swedish.
We found some nice restaurants the best one was a mexican near Macdonalds. There was also a good restaurant called chilli peppers. This was always really busy so the food by the time it came out was served warm but was lovely. They also put on entertainment which was really good.
I would also recommend Khans Tent. This is a restaurant on the top of a hill. We booked this through balkan holidays and for the price we got a 4 course meal and a bottle of wine per person. There was then a cabaret show which was brilliant.
The beach is lovely and is cleaned everyday. The only problem we found is that the red flag was put up on the beach most of the time and so you were unable to go in the sea.
The main problem with the resort is people trying to get you in there restaurants and bars. After 2 weeks this really began to get on our nerves. We also saw a couple of beggers and were asked by people in the street if we wanted to change some currency. We politely said no and they left you alone but remember to not change with these people as you can end up getting everything but Bulgarian Lev. The best place to change your currency is in hotels or the banks where you get good rates. We found the exchange rate better in Bulgaria than what we got in the UK.
Another big problem is people selling fruit in the streets. They practically shove the fruit in your face. One day they did this to my little boy but luckily we had told him not to take anything off strangers. We said no and they left us alone but again this would happen on a daily basis and by the end of the holiday got on your nerves!
We were told before we went that another big problems were prostitutes near the beach. We did not see any of this but maybe it was because we was a family. A group of males we knew out there said they had been asked by prostitutes on a number of occasions and had also seen some guy beaten up by what they thought were the prostitutes pimps. But as I say we never saw any of that and we went into the main resort every night. There are also loads of strip clubs and sex shops around the resort.
There aren't any real English bars but we found a nice one called the Red lion. There was also an Irish bar called Whacky paddys. We also went in a pool/snooker bar every night. This was really good and you could play pool, snooker, and darts. Most bars also offer happy hours on local spirits, beer and cocktails. Remember to ask for a pint of beer and not lager! One night I asked for a pint of lager and got a pina colada!
There are 3 water parks in the resort. One in sunny beach, one in nessebar and one in elinite. We went to the one in sunny beach was a good day out but was quite pricy.
The resort is not as cheap as people made out but is very reasonable compared to others resorts such as ones in greece and cyprus.
There is alot of public transport fir you to get around. Remember to agree a price with taxi's before you set off. The buses always seemed really full but are really cheap. There are also horses and carts you can pay for and there is a train that takes you from one end of the resort to the other.

I have been to Sunny Beach 12 times, we love it, but mainly as we have a friend who we met in Golden Sands in 2002 who now runs 2 restaraunts in Sunny Beach. I do feel now that the resort is starting to turn out a bit like Ibiza, Falaraki, etc: Lots of groups of young kids on bar crawls which I think is spoiling Sunny Beach although it is cheap and thats why they are coming, maybe when Bulgaria change to Euro's this might change, it is a shame.

very cheap to eat / drink out could go out for meal for 4 adults ... 4 main courses about 6 beers, and 6 soft drinks from 40 lev (About £17)in some restaurants to 60 lev (£25) don’t go to McDonalds in main sunny beach for 4 big mac meals it was 67 lev (£29) only £15 at home in uk...better off going for meal and drinks in one of the restaurants.
Beaches were nice expect to pay about 7 lev (£3) for a bed each and 7 lev (£3) for a parasol, There is jelly fish so just keep watch out when in the sea,
Didn’t see any prostitutes as read about on other reviews but few exotic dance clubs in main part sunny beach, Didn’t see any trouble or hear about any muggings as in some reviews, only so 2 beggars in nessebar but they in every town even in uk, just be very open minded and be aware at all time when out and about.
Good luck
