We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

Sunny Beach Lived upto its name for us with two weeks of sunshine!
We found the resort on the whole clean but in need of maintenance. The promenade has broken up in places and needs repair before some one has afall....but do not forget this is Bulgaira and not upto our own standards.
Beach bars are frequent and most of them offer entertainment...so pick and choose your bars you should keep yourselves entertained!
There s pretty much something for everyone from quiet bars to erotic bars which I hastern to add are kept away from the main prom and there only for those who wish to go.
The beach is sandy and whilst we were there suffered from alot of seaweed and jellyfish neither of which bothered us as the seaweed was only close to the shore and the jellyfish were perfectly harmless.
We tried the jet ski's and paragliding...all good fun and also try a beach massage...very relaxing and good value!
We also went on several trips to find the real Bulgaria and it really is a beautiful country.

Wish the entertainment was a bit better and when you were shopping the stall holders would not let you look round in peace, they were always trying to sell you something but I used to just walk away. The only thing I did disagree with was the man who had the bear,I really think its cruel,he should be somewhere where he's happy and not performing to make somebody money and I don't agree with children begging for money either.

We stayed in the northern end of Sunny Beach which was spotlessly clean. The only complaints would have to be the footpaths are lethal, and the buggies and mopeds should be banned...

First time visit to S.B. We were a little wary about it having read some very negative reports on this and other sites. How wrong we were. Most of the local people were very friendly and helpful. Pricewise, this place has to be one of the cheapest places for food and drink anywhere. Along the beach front was the most expensive, but still cheap in relation to Spain, Canaries etc. Further back you go from the beach, it gets substantially cheaper. A meal for two adults and three children with wine , beers, minerals, ice creams etc. was averaging about 40lev, €20! A night out for the two of us, (with lots of beers and enough cocktails that we cant remember how many), taxis and grub on the way home ( usually about 4am!) was averaging about 60lev!! The Village Show at the Briz (Breeze) Restaurant on the seafront was great entertainment and value. Would have to say that most of the restaurants along the seafront were highly overrated, expensive and only average food. We made the Condor on the main road near the Kuban, our regular as the food was great and very cheap. Djannys around the corner was also great value. Shopping was much the same as any other resort, endless rows of shops & stalls selling much the same stuff, but the clothes etc. were very cheap. A trip to Nessebar is a must, beautiful place with great views of the whole bay. There is a fairground there which should keep the kids happy for a while. All in All we had a great holiday and would definatley visit s.b. again.

I have been to Bulgaria 5 times and my family have been visiting for about 17 yrs. We have never experienced any trouble whatsoever.
The resort of sunny beach has everything you could wish for and there is something for everyone. I would recommend a trip to nessabaur, I find it very relaxing as there is no loud music blaring out from the bars or cafes.
We always use the bus which is very cheap and you can always get a water taxi back to your resort. I hope you enjoy visiting Bulgaria as much as my family and I do!!!

The main front was clean but that was about all the side streets very dirty with litter.
Entertainment Rubish a lot of strip clubs and pole dancers .
Bulgarians very ignorant and everything too much trouble for them in eating arears. Nesabar was a nice place but that was all no other nice surrounding arears to visit very flat lots of building sites would not recomend anyone to go there only prices good and watch your cards because someone clocked my card at the bank and drew money out of my account at the atm and also maile orderd from my account DONT USE THE CASH MACHINES OUT THERE THEY ARE CROOKS.

This was our first visit to Bulgaria and most likley our last. Whilst the accomodation was superb, we struggled finding a decent restaurant at first. The English language seemed lost in the menu unlike in Spain or Turkey were it kind of jumps out at you.
Bars were out numbered by restaurants. None of the bars really had much in the way of entertainment, just awful singers on keyboards.
A trip to nessebar is a must ( go by taxi and agree the fare). Our list of trips presented by our rep was on an a4 piece of paper with no pictures and she spent 20 minutes reading it out in broken english which was torture hence we did not book. The gipsy market (another taxi) was poor with just the same sfuff on sale as in the resort- no leather goods. The aqua park at Sunny beach is worth a visit 26 Levs for an adult.

Sunny Beach is not for those of a nevous disposition or seeking a relaxing holiday. Best described as 'Carnival Day in Hell...but with the volume turned up full'.
Beware of manaic children who are allowed to drive golf carts and silent (electric) mototcycles at full speed along the crowded promenade. And if you thought chained, dancing bears were illegal, think again.
"Entertainment" otherwise seems to be restricted to "Erotic Clubs"; and eating junk food and drinking to the acccompaniment of loud pop music. Some people like that; we didn't.
Nessebar, a couple of miles away, is a little more traditional and quaint. It has better restaurants and some interesting shops (especially bargain leather clothing) amongst the usual tourist tat.
Burgas Airport appears to be twinned with the Black Hole of Calcutta, but only after some initial resistance by the latter. It is probably the only airport in the world which does not have flight information screens in the departure lounge...a serious drawback when one's homeward flight is late. Thompson reps were telling us of a "half-hour delay" even as text messages from relatives standing-by to collect people in the UK were saying that the delay was officially confirmed by Gatwick as four hours. A little more honesty from Thomson would not come amiss, especially when we are next tempted to look at one of their brochures.
