We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

Resort mad mad mad!!! Great for kids, beach has everything to do, we went parasending which was fab, banana & donut rides on beach, also there was a crazy frog & scooby doo wandering around with a camera guy who took pics of the kids, they were good and cost 10 lev each (about 4.00 which was worht it) Watch out for the red flags on beach, me & my husband were oblivious on an inflatable wave riding with all these whistles sounds behind us, looked behind & saw life guard waving frantically to get the inflatable out of water as current was strong (though we didnt think so!!) so safety aspect is really good!!! Sun beds & parasol 6 levs each so can be bit expensive if you go every day. Off road adventure trip a must, rolled all around the jeep & as had been raining was even more fun, these drivers are mad!! Did quad biking, horse riding, archery, shooting etc was so much fun. Also lazy day cruise well worth it, caught a fab tan on the boat & the crew were a right laugh.... Make sure you get on an electric car to whizz round resort, great fun, and on the horse and carriage of an evening was good though the horses did look whacked out!!! Kids begging, one with a small puppy was heartbreaking, they are so small but am aware its done on purpose..... Would visit again but next time will probably try Golden Sands.

The resort is like any other holiday resort. When you get to the main square as I called it - it was full of stalls selling take off bags, clothes, runners, pottery, lace, copied DVD's & CD's etc. When you have seen one stall you have seen them all. Very cheap to buy shoes - alot of sandels and flip flops. Outside the restaurants they are trying to get you to go in. One place that I would reckonmend to eat in on the main street and its called Happy Grill Bar (beside McDonnalds). Georgous food. Another place we went to was a place called Djanny - there was ques outside it every night and we thought it must be good. Its was worth the quing. To eat out is very cheap. The most we spent was €25.00 for everything including drinks. Also, you might come accross a man with a bear on a leash - it you take a photo they will try and charge you 10lev (€5). There is alos a man with a baby crocodile and snake - also charging for photos! Just ignore them and keep on walking by. It rained heavy when we were there and the some of the roads were still flooded 4 days later - they don't have any drains so there is no where for the water to go. There is a free bus to bring you to the water park - it was called Action Waterpark. It was good - but massive ques for the slides. There is another waterpark outside Sunny Beach on way to the airport - it looked good as we drove by it. The place is full of mostiqos - so make sure bring your insect repleant spray with you and put plenty on all over - they give terrible bites. We flew in Borgas Airport - there is nothing but a couple of duty free shops, a bar selling crips and chocolate. So make sure you have a good feed before you leave for the airport! The cigerettes were cheaper to buy in the airport. There was 200 for €16.00(32 Lev) and on the stalls in Sunny Beach they were selling 200 for €24.50 (49 Lev). The coin money is called stinky!

i thought the strip and shops was like a long car boot sale, the beach was nice and the water was warm in the evenings and nice to get into. It was very thronged at nightime walking up and down the strip and little street cars and quads flying, you had to be very careful as they sped and were often been driven by small young children.

Sunny Beach offers 4 miles of beautiful sand, a selection of accommodation to various budgets and plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and transport.
The beach is regularly cleaned, even during the day as are the streets. This cleanliness is supported by the lack of flies, mosquito or wasps. However the pavements are uneven, broken and often have hazards eg. broken pipes.
Almost the entire beach is taken up by parasols (5-6 Lev as are each lounger). There's no tide, often small waves but the lack of rocks etc doesnt make it good for snorkelling.
The most annoying thing I found was the use of electric vehicles. Whilst this is environmentally commendable it means you'll have to watch out for near silent motorbikes, golf buggies and scooters driven by anyone over the age of 12 (approx). As most pavements are very narrow you have to walk on the roads so be aware!
Transport around town is provided by taxi, horse and carriage or the beach trains.
Entertainment is everywhere however its often the same - karaoke or live bands (usually 1 or 2 ppl supported by backing tracks). You will find the occassional folk night, bungee jumps, discos, loud and quiet bars, a mass of shops selling mostly fake goods, slide pools and plenty of beach bars plus food sheds.
The Bulgarians I came across were mostly those selling their wares, pleasant and not pushy - you're invited to look at menus without pressure.
The beach offers excellent sand, sand dunes, very well life guarded, plenty of water sports and its great for families - its quite difficult finding yourself over head height!
I enjoyed my visit to Sunny Beach but its rather too touristy for my liking. There's no evidence of any local infrastructure - no churches, houses or local shopping areas.
The shops often sell the same thing and there's an abundance of tatto parlours which also offer henna tats and hair braiding. I personally prefer a little more culture to my holiday but if you want 4 miles of glorious beach, bars and shops with plenty of familiar food this gets a big thumbs up.
The fact that much of it is pretty cheap helps, I never found a pint priced much over £1, baked potato £1.50, pizza £2.50-£3.50, pancakes 70p most meals around £3-£5.

it is very clean no litter anywhere it is a very clean and friendly place. the entertainment is good but it depends on age groups and who you go with mainly. the beach is very good, good sunbeds, but they take up most of the beach so not so good for little children who want to play in the sand. yes i would visit the resotrt and stay in the same hotel everything was fanstic i will defently come again but with different company

Resort is very busy. Toilets are hard to come by and cost 50 (20p) each time u go often male and females in same time as well found this uncomfortable throughout the week think we spent £8 on toilets. ha ha
didnt real visit beach so cant comment. Would definetly recommend the aquq park in nessebar not the one behind the hotel as it has long queus and less equipped.
Overall we had a great hol but very little to do with children in the nights. So i think once u been, u have been and thats it so no wouldnt return.
Reccomendations - Djannys for eating out
fat cat for a curry
Khans tent - thomson excursion with the bendy lady a must be seen performance
can get a pint larger in day for about 70p however on average its about 3levs (£1). it is cheap but we managed too spend a lot.

Much of a muchness, same old type of eating establishments.
Hardly any "early evening" entertainment for children.
Beach excellent. but loungers and parasols overpriced.

Sunny beach is like Blackpool all bars banging out loud music and serving cocktails row upon row of market stalls selling all the same fake goods you also take your life into your own hands when you walk down the main strip here you will find little kids on electric scooters going up and down they are dangerous because you can not hear them aproaching you from behind,we also beggers along here the same ones every night a mother with her three children and one holding a small puppy for the sympathy vote no doubt the one boy aged about six is very rude and will try and trip you up or hit you if you do not give him any money! my advice is ignore them they do not look starving to me they are just opportunists. The shop keepers are also very rude if you do not have small change they will tut and snatch money out of your hand No please or Thankyou the only time they seem to like you is when you are giving them your money if you do not buy from them then they will change and become aggresive and oh do not bother to complain about anything because they dont give a toss.

All I can say is Oh my god never again! Blackpool with sun is an excellent description, there are beggars aged about six years old who would punch you if you didn't give them any money, every where you go is shops selling fake clothes, everything in bulgaria is fake even the meat which was supposed to be steak was more like tough horse meat. The people are very rude no thank you or please, but they certainly like your money. All the bars and supermarkets are open 24 hours a day. If your ideal holiday is 24 hour drinking 24 hour food (kebab stalls everywhere), been hastled constantly by rude ignorant people then you will love bulgaria, I wouldnt go back if you paid me. oh and by the way make sure you take some mosquitto repellent with you or you will be bit to death, especially at the airport if thats what you can call it what a dump.
