We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

We really loved Sunny Beach. Good food and great beer, some for only 0.99 lev.
Best nightclub was Iceberg, some great live bands in there plus the group that played at the Spider bar on the main strip was class.
Paying for the toilets was a bit annoying but we got used to it. Tony's karaoke bar was good too behind forest hut and when it finished if you wanted you could go to the lev a pint bar opposite it.
We ate most of the time at djannys ,condor had a meal in forest hut (roast pig)on the spit which was nice also happy duck.
Fantastic beach and plenty to do on it.
The water park at Nessebar is good, you have to give it a try.
We got a taxi to and from the airport 40 lev each way.

Resort was clean apart from the broken paths around but that didn't bother me but would if I was disabled as it is an accident waiting to happen.
We went there looking for busy bars and lively atmosphere but hardley anywhere was busy but we found Central Bar which was fantastic and the staff were so friendly.
Beach was lovely well kept and lots of people from the bars on the beach wanting to know if you want drinks, couldn't do enough for you.
I would never go to Bulgaria again. The people need to have manner lessons. I would never go to Bulgaria again and we are going to stick with Greece and Spain at least they know manners.

First time to Sunny Beach and I loved it.
Some of the people are nice, some aren't it is incredibly cheap to eat out and the food is good quality. I only had one bad meal and it wasn't that bad just not as good as the rest.
I found if a place was busy the food was good my favourites were the Condor garden and DJAnny's although some of the ones along the front are very good too, and the Hotel Victoria does nice food and cocktails it is a little dearer.
The beach was clean although there were some jellyfish, but did see a couple of people being robbed by groups with kids doing the stealing no different from any other holidy destination you have to be vigilant and not leave bags and valuables unattended no matter how short a time you are away.
The pubs were mixed some nice some not so nice but in general very good one you find some favorates plenty of live music etc.
You have to pay for the toilet in some places and some share toilets which is a bit hard to get the head round, but once you find out which are clean and which aren't you can stick to them.
If you love buzz, music, drink, football, singing,SHOPPING and general nonsense you'll love sunny beach its a bit benidorm if your looking for culture and peace its probably not for you, although whoever you are its so cheap its hard not to like it.

The Sunny Beach resort over all was a mixed bag.
The other people we talked to either loved it or hated it.
On the narrow pedestrian road between the beach and the hotel there are literally miles of stalls that sell all kinds of cheap rubbish. If this is your thing, then you'll happily spend hours haggling with the locals.
Unfortunately for me, I hate this sort of thing... I don't like being approached by complete strangers who repeatedly insist I buy whatever useless rubbish they're selling.
Aside from my personal preferences, these stalls all seemed to sell the same thing... watches, sunglasses, trinkets, food... exactly the same kind of generic cheapo junk you could buy at any resort in any country. One ramble down this God forsaken tourist trap was enough for me... I avoided that strech for the rest of my stay.
But that's just me.
The only real fun I had here was at the beach, which would be perfect apart from the million-odd ciggarette butts.
The water was clean and reasonably warm, I didn't encounter any jellyfish or other nasties... apart from some insect that bit me while I was sunbathing.
The beach is well supervised by the lifeguards, and the red-flag/yellow-flag status is clear and easily seen.
Even if you're not swimming, there's plenty to watch, people in jetskis, paddle boats, para-sailing.
We took the bus over to Nessebar, which was the closest I got to seeing any actual Bulgarian culture... but don't be fooled... this place is also heavily commercialised... though not nearly as tacky as the stall-littered road outside the hotel, and there are some nice restaurants perched in places that'll give you some very nice views.
At least what's on sale here is slightly more cultural.
I think the high point of my whole holiday to Sunny Beach was the boat ride back from Nessebar,I can't reccomend this enough. The crew were great guys, the most friendly and upbeat people we met.
After a bad first impression of Sunny Beach, my whole mood was lifted by these guys and the hilarious time we had trying to get off the slightly unsteady boat (with their help and encouragment)... at just 10 lev each, it beats a crummy bus journey by far! I'm only sorry we didn't discover them sooner, . you can see the whole resort from the boat.Very nice views and a very relaxing ride.
Culturally I didn't feel like I was visiting Bulgaria, I felt more like I was visiting some random resort, plonked into the middle of nowhere. Having said that, I didn't go on any of the planned outings, so maybe I only have myself to blame for that.
The whole place is hotel-land though. On the bus from the resort to the airport, all you can see for miles around are hotels/apartments and countryside. Which reenforced my feeling of visiting a generic resort rather than a country.
FYI: We saw the infamous 'guy-with-bear', the snakes, and a few beggars... though we didn't spot any prostitues (at least that we know of).
PS. The flight is long, cramped and boring, so bring a good book.

Lively resort plenty of places to eat and drink and all cheap.
Toilets leave a lot to be desired though ranging from smelly to very smelly and you get charged for using them, shops sell usual holiday stuff, buy your ciggies and drink from proper outlets and not off street traders as you could get any old rubbish.
It was our first time in Sunny Beach and really enjoyed it.
What this resort needs is money spent on improving walkways and roads as some areas are very dangerous.

The resort we felt was very quiet although it seemed to be that we had visited towards the end of the season therefore this may explain this. Bar after bar and shop after shop means it's heaven if you like a drink or if you are a woman. Vast amounts of counterfeit clothing, some of it very good however a lot of really crap quality effort's in amongst this as well. Great shopping for leather goods and lace goods such as tablecloths if you like that sort of thing.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous and really clean - One of the holiday highlights without question. Most of the PR's for the bars and restaurants don't hassle you too much and if you say no then that's usually the end of the matter.
Most items and everyday living is very cheap by UK standards. What did get me angry however was the two gypsies dragging a brown bear round the streets for photographs - Please do not give these people the time of day let alone any money. There is also a few locals standing around the streets with snakes and, wait for it, a baby crocodile which has it's mouth sellotaped up. Again very cruelso give them a wide berth.
Please go to Khan's Tent - It is an amazing night and would be cheap at twice the price (around £22 per adult).
Sunny Beach was not for us and we will not be going back however i have visited worse destinations.
