We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

Keep away please.

Sunny Beach is lovely and still pretty cheap.
Beach is beautiful and the people are nice and friendly.
I will be visiting again very soon.

The resort was extremely clean, the beaches were immaculate and we never saw litter on the streets.
There is a lot of building work being carried out in the resort, so there was sometimes building waste visible and in some places it was quite dusty/muddy underfoot.
There is plenty to do in the resort, whether that be going to the beach, visiting the many bars/night clubs. There are plenty of shops for the shopaholics too.

I stayed in sunny beach which was brilliant the night life was so good. The entertainment was also brilliant, although we did not visit the beach regulary i thought it was lovely. Yes i would visit this resort again because it was a very very good holiday with very friendly people.

The resort centre is huge with the normal bars and restuarants with people trying to get you to go into their establishments. Eating out is cheap with many restuarants offering English and Bulgarian food. Many offering 2 for 1 drinks. Many shops selling the same stuff but its best to look around because the prices vary. We were warned about pick pockets although we were careful we didn't heard of any cases. There are many mini golf courses around the resort if thats your thing.
The Beach is very long and was kept clean, we had two sun beds and a parasol that was 18 lev. Through out the day we had Bulgarian women trying to sell us cherries and coral necklaces whilst we were there. They can be very forceful but a simple no thank you was enough for them to get the message.
Nessabar was situated about a 15 minutes walk away from our hotel, although there is a Noddy train that also goes there for 2 lev. This place is beautiful with the old wooden houses and gorgeous coast line with cobblestone streets. Again with the normal people trying to get you to drink or eat in their establishments. The shops are nicely laid out in keeping with the surroundings. While worth a visit. Many of the older Bulgarian women selling table cloths that they have made during the winter and you can haggle on the price. Thoughout the resort if you wish to go to the toilet they charge 50 cents.
We hired a car(Ford Fiesta) for a day for 80 lev and we had to re fuel the car before the car was picked up. We purchased a map but it was very difficult to read. The Bulgarians are mad and drive like manics! They over take and will push in front of you even if just their bonets of the car can squeeze in. Driving in Bulgaria is not for the faint hearted. We visited Sozopol that was very similar to Nessabar but on a smaller scale. A local man recommended visiting the village of Zheravana and told us it wasn't far but we drove for about 2 hours to find it, but wasn't it worth it. True Bulgarian village with wooden houses and no people hassling you. We had a meal at the local restuarant that had bulgarian costumes on display on the walls, it was beautiful. We then went to Sliven but was quite disappointed it was dirty and nothing really there apart from the local people selling fruit and veg. We saw alot of the Bulgarian country side and mainly is was green fields and we could of been anywhere is the cotswolds. The mountain views were impressive but on the whole not a great deal to see. From the literature I have read there are lots of villages around Bulgaria but they are spread out in secluded and difficult to reach locations.
Staying in Bulgaria is very cheap 10 lev is approximately £3.75 and everything seemed to be cheaper than England. Some of the 2 for 1 drinks seemed to be watered down and the taxi's charged 15 lev from our hotel to Sunny Beach centre and to Nessabar, so we would recommend using the Noddy train.
The weather was a mixed bag from cloud until midday for 5 of our days, one day raining and one day extreme sun. On the whole it was a good holiday but not much to see and do useless you like sun, bars and music.

we stayed in sunny beach, a very clean resort the sand was kept free from all types of rubbish, its entertainment galore all along the front. there's plenty of bars to choose from and restaurants. shops are constant and full of variety. there was quad bikes and horse rides on the beach later in the day. i even had my picture taken with a baby aligator and two pythons, totally fun throughout, we also went on a safari up into the mountains and also visited a water park, we also went on the jet bikes and banana boat, there was even paragliding

Sunny Beach is Sunny Beach
I have given the resort entertainment category a 2 only because I visited in May when most of the resort was not open. The resort does not fully get into full swing until the last week in June. A lot of restaurants and bars do not open until then. I have visited the resort many times in different months over a number of years. Therefore be advised that if you are booking a holiday in May or early June only half of the resort entertainment & facilities will be open.

Sunny Beach is very clean and the beach is lovely. However, it is more suited to the young and lively and is on the go 24 hours.

There is so much to do in Sunny beach, so many shops, bars, and Nightlife was unreal! planty of beggars so be carefull but they all understood NO......... eventually!
We did a trip to Bourgas which as an experience, loadsa shops but I prefered the more resorty areas. We went to nessebar via taxi for a reasonable 20 lev - however we got the bus back for 70 stotinkis so we went again!
Definitely try the buses they are so cheap!
I could not fault this holiday.
Cant wait to go back!
