We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

Was very surprised at how clean resort was. Entertainment was OK if you like karaoke and restaurants. There were plenty of entertainment for younger people but as I am in mid 30's most evenings were spent in restaurants watching singers. Beach was beautiful.

The resort is cleaned everynight which is a must as the amount of flyers you are given over two weeks would fill a drawer in your hotel room. Those people who were not environmentally frendly simply threw them on the floor.
The snakes are still there !!
Do not buy any fruit from the fruit sellers walking the street that offer a free sample I caught one with is finger right up nose having a good pick.(a new slant on pick your own)
Chilli Peppers is a must serving great steaks, Ribs and char-grilled chicken. Great music and can-can dancing layed on as free entertainment.

As with all purpose built resorts, don't come looking for loads of Bulgarian culture and customs. If you're looking for great value for money (at least until the Euro lands)head for Sunny Beach. There's a great selection of bars and restaurants, 2 waterparks and a beautiful long beach with plenty of watersports. Everywhere is clean and the people are friendly and not too over-powering. You will often have to pay to use the toilets but in general this makes them a lot cleaner than in other resorts. There seem to be plenty of excursions on offer too although we only managed a trip to nearby Nessebur which is very pretty. There are hundreds of little shops but they all sell the same stuff so they do become a bit repetitive.

The resort was extremely clean and the locals all very friendly. The beach was really nice but sunbeds & unberellas a little pricey at 6 lev each (£2.40)ok as there was just 2 of us but a little expensive if you have kids with you. You can go onto the beach with a towel but you are at the back of the beach not very far but no much good if keeping an eye on the kids enjoying the water.
We did a 2 day trip to Istanbul with Vangel @ Happy Travel for £50 each. Really would recommend this as the hotel he used in Istanbul has the most fabulous views (www.andhotel.com) Vangel knows everyone and will always get you a good deal on anything you are looking for.
All in all this is an area where you can relax or party your choice. We were very impressed, we went to Golden Sands a few years ago and Sunny Beach is by far the better resort.

The Sunny Beach resort is massive, depending which resort review you read, it is either a six kilometre or an 8 kilometre beach. This may be because it has been steadily growing for the last 10 years.
The middle of the resort is nothing like Bulgaria at all!
It is more like Benidorm or Blackpool, with stalls selling tat, fake designer bags, fast food etc. There are plenty of decent cheap bars along the front. The bigger fast food stalls are very good at cleaning down tables and chairs and have friendly efficient staff with at least one that speaks good English and knows what a "straw" is!! - Quite unusual that!
The beach is very good quality sand and great expanses are taken up with pay-to-use sunbeds and umbrellas. There are also free to use beach areas where you may see the strange sign reading "In order to keep the beach clean, please use the paid areas or the free to use areas." - Try finding anywhere else!!

We found the resort clean and the beaches fabulous. We are used to good beaches in this part of the country and Bulgaria (Sunny Beach) was very good - the only difference being that they have the sun!!!

Sunny Beach was a great resort, really lively, although a lot more commercialised than I had expected. Towards the end of our stay (last week in June) it was nearly too busy for me - walking along the beach front street was like christmas shopping there was that many people!
There is a new waterpark that has opened up near Nessebar, there are free buses leaving from S.B and it only takes around 10-15mins to get there, it's much better than the old one in Sunny Beach. It's called Aquaparadise and I had a look at the website before I went.
Everyone in the resort seemed really friendly, even promo guys working the bars, once you said no thanks they let you go on, no hassling you to try and get you in!

Sunny Beach s a great resort, with a great nightlife and great beach.
The only things I was concerened about was the way the golf buggies which you can hire was being driven, especially on the paths in front of the beach and some of the bars seem to serve cocktails with very little alcohol in - particularly the one frequented by the holiday reps. A number of people we spoke to agreed.
We found the Fat Cat restaurant to be very good, with great service and friendly staff (go in and ask for cold sandwiches.
Around by the Kuban Hotel there were a number of people trying to get your attention - if you listen to them half of Bulgarians need some part of their body transplanted or want their children adopted. However, if you just politely say no thanks, they leave you alone.
Overall, a very nice resort, very safe at night and just walking past the various shops, clubs and eating places was entertainment enough!
