We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

The resort is reasonably clean, but is becoming very commercial. This isn't really a problem as there are plenty of quieter places if your willing to look. The entertainment is reasonable, but appears geared more for couple or groups. The beaches in the most are clean, but watch out for cigarette buts and empty bottles.
I would visit the resort again, but on a B&B or self catering basis, it's certainly cheap - for now!
Some locals can appear rude, but then we heard how some holidaymakers spoke to them.

Sunny beach has changed a lot over the years - there are a lot of stalls on the street selling junk. the beach is beautiful but becareful as in some places there is lots of broken glass and fag ends. the beds and brollys on the beach can be expensive so we usually just put towels down at the back of the beach.
there are pleanty or restaurants around the hotel that do good food and the centre of the resort is only a 10-15 minute walk away. there are more bars towards the centre but prices start to go up. staying of the beach road and central strip will be cheaper and the food is just as good if not better. one of the best places to eat is condor restaurant on the main road - the locals go there to eat so you know it's good. we were offered a menu at 3am - they do food 24/7!

The resort was great, lovely clean beach, plenty of bars & restaurants, always something to do for all ages. The people giving leaflets out on the street were a bit of a pest, but they were only doing their job and they were nice when we refused. Plenty of shops & very cheap, we went to Nessebar on the bus & it cost about 20p in our money we couldnt beleive it. We would recommend this resort to everyone.

The resort itself is relatively small however there is a lot on offer from bars to restuarants and even the odd nightclub if you fancy it. The food within the resort is diverse and worth a look even if you are half or full board. A 3 course meal with champagne costs the equivalent of £15.00 !!! Thats for two people !!! The beach was very clean and you can even have a massage as you watch the world going on around you

read some reviews about the resort on the net and was unsure about going, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised . lots of flyers on the floor at night but were always gone the next morning. lots of things for kids like inflatable slides, crazy golf. the resort entertaiment was not bad but could have been better. the beach was cleaned every day, even the horses wore nappies. the only complaint was having to pay to go on it , not many free zones. we saw the bear but it didnt look neglected, saw the snakes plenty of them and saw the croc. the beggars were a bit of a nuisence. we would definately go back again.

The resort itself is lovely except that the beach is covered in sun beds in this area and you have to pay for any space you use. I would recommend the trips but I did them with a private firm next to the hotel, which saved me money. They where fully insured and provided different language tranlates who dealt with there own little group.
I recommend getting a golf buggy first day and looking around resort. This only cost 30 levs an hour and 5 can fit on it. Every thing was really expensive except the official trips.
I am sure you will enjoy your holiday in this venue

The resort is clean and there is plenty of activities in Sunny Beach. Eating out is good value for money, generally good size portions and competitive prices!
The beach is clean. The Black Sea is clean but we did find the occassional piece of rubbish. The sea is shallow for a good 50 mtrs from the beach so is ideal for children and weaker swimmers. There is plenty of activity available parasailing, jet ski's, banana boats and massage all for a price! Volleyball nets are free to use as are the childrens climbing frames and slides.
All the toilets on the beach cost 50 stinkies a visit (100 stinkies is 1 lev and 5 lev is appx 2gbp).
There are NO baby changing facilities anywhere.
Disabled access is poor, few ramps and loads of high steps and curbs.
Bourgas is good for shopping and the prices are much cheaper than Sunny Beach - Although we found that the beggers asking for your stinkies was intimidating.
Nessabar is quaint with its cobbled streets and historic buildings.
Sunny Beach, Bourgas and Nessabar all have people invading your space touting for you to come into their restaurant.
Sunny beach has numerous market stalls - We were surprised how readily available offensive weapons were from swords to stun guns. Which was a bit worrying when sharp ninja stars and knives were in easy reach of small hands. Lots of stalls sell football kits, racing jackets, jeans, shoes etc and a good bargain could be found with a bit of hunting.
Golf cars and electric mopeds could be hired to traverse the 8km of Sunny Beach.

The beach was great, the cost of the sunbeds and umbrellas were 6lev each. There are plenty of food stalls around the beach too, so it's not far to go. We went on jet ski's and other rides that were pulled on the back of speed boats there, which were reasonably priced.
There are countless pubs/ food places around. Unfortunately, it is rather annoying as you get harassed by the staff trying to pull you into them and won't take no for an answer. Offering free drinks, free ice cream for the kids to get you to eat in there. As a rule though, they are very polite and get familiar and friendly, even if you don't eat there. If you get the chance, eat in Franko's, their steaks are superb, it is about 10 minutes walk to get there, but well worth it!! And the first drink was on the house too.
The buses are local to the resort, but beware, we have seen pick pockets trying to operate on them!! The streets were tidy, although it seemed that the bits that were 'out of sight' were strewn with rubbish. The shops are very repetitive, consisting of clothes markets, souvenir shops and hair and tatoo shops, one after another after another.
The water park we went to is Sunny Beach aqua park. The water there is very clean, the rides are sturdy, and once you are inside, the prices are quite reasonable. We were advised by a local that this was the better one of the two, and he was right!!
We were disapointed,as there should have been a local stable for horse riding, but we couldn't find it, and no-one knew where it was. There is a train that runs up and down the main drags, or you could take a ride in one of the many horse and carts there, but personally I didn't think the horses were well kept, so didn't go on them on principle. There is a boat that can be caught up to Nessebar for 15 lev, but we caught the bus which was only 0.70 lev (70 stinkys) It was well worth the trip up there.
I don't think that it is as cheap as people told me before i went out there, groceries were the same price as over here, and although the meals were cheap enough, the drinks were extortionate in some places.
I would go there again, but to be honest, I think they have had restaurant/pub over kill, they are literally yards away from each other, even next to each other in some cases. It is a bit like a glorified Blackpool. There didn't seem to be much local entertainment other than the usual live music, but there were flyers at the hotel for excursions.

We found the resort to be nice and clean. The locals were very friendly without being pushy. Entertainment was not as good as the likes of benidorm but there was still plenty to do and see. The beach was nice and relaxing we enjoyed our pedal boat, there is hundreds of jelly fish in the deeper water. We would definetly visit Sunny Beach again.
