We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

a beautiful place with plenty to do for the kids along the beachfront. Also a lot to do for the adults - bungees, parasailing, jet skiing and cheap booze!!

To the left of the hotel I stayed in seemed to be the family orientated part, and to the right, after approx a 1 mile walk, was the young, going out part. The clubs and bars that are to cater for British holiday makers were dead, so go to the ones where the Swedish, German holiday makers go to, as you will have a much better night! Be careful for the gansgster type people, and make sure you dont make the mistake that I did and take a picture of the big hummer cars!

Sunny Beach has something for everybody - that is if you are not looking for scenery and historical buildings. There are fantastic restaurants with every taste catered for - even McDonalds for the kids ! The bars are lively and friendly, the bunjee provided hours of entertainment just watching people being thrown around like rag dolls, being terrified and going back for more !!The street artists are incredibly talented, the shops something else, the whole atmosphere electric and especially the teenagers and twenty somethings had a ball in the night clubs, one even had a swimming pool to dip into if you got too hot ! The only sad note was the number of young prostitutes who plied their trade on the busy intersection, approaching every lone male regardless of age, the majority of whom just smiled and kept walking. The police appeared on numerous occasions on their bicycles and the girls disappeared into the night only to reemerge when the coast was clear again.
The beach was beautiful, quite safe with life guards every couple of hundred yards, loads of sunbeds and beach bars.
The highlight for me was my trips to Nessebar, this is a beautiful quaint town with cobblestone streets, two storey houses stacked on top of each other, friendly stall owners, great shopping, street artists, taverns with trees growing through the roof, all in all a must see if you go to Sunny Beach, either travel by boat from the beach in Sunny Beach or take a taxi only about 25 lev.
All in all I would definitely return to Sunny Beach.

Bulgaria/sunny beach , i found it ok, not quaint by any means, not really picturesque, lovely fine big beach though.
In sunny beach everything is really based along the seafront, the bars are plentiful but all quite similar really, and to me they dont seem to truly cater for brits, (not that thats a bad thing), the local beer varies in flavour, vastly. So when u taste one you like try n remember it!
Food wise it is surpisingly fairly hard to find true uk faves such as a full english! The bulgarians seem to like the food not that hot, so ask for it to be hot if that bothers you.
As i said, the resort has many bars along the front, the prices of beer can vary widely, so check the prices before you buy, and bear in mind alot of the cocktail bars "happy hours" only apply to a certain set menu of cocktails or certain times of the day...you wont know that til u go in though.,
there are plenty of shops/stalls also along the front, these stay opent til around midnight, be wary of the cigs for sale on the street, buy from a proper shop or u may get fakes. Basically the shops sold all the same things, handbags, towels t-shirts, etc etc.. Because of the one strip of bars/stalls we got a bit bored towards the end of the 2weeks stay...
Outside of sunny beach, hop on the bus to nessebar...
Here then you can stroll around a lovely quiant town, which id have preffered to stay in, cobbled streets and not overwhelmed in tourism.
I strongly recommend a boat ride back to sunny beach from nessebar for about a fiver, its worth it, and after you got the bus there youll be glad of avoiding a bus back, cos whilst very cheap they are extremely hot and busy. You can of course get a boat to and from nessebar, (they leave fron the piers in sunny beach).
Nessebar was nice compared to sunny beach, but not as quaint as say tossa de mar - spain, or the small greek islands etc..,
as for sunny beach, my verdict is not very tropical but ok. Reminded me of a scaled down blackpool, but not as british obviously.
Im not in a huge rush to go back...but thats only a personal thing. I like somewhere a bit more tropical, whereas here, the umbrella in your cocktail is about as tropical as it gets in sunny beach..

It is well off the beaten track, getting across the main road was a nightmare, drivers didn't obey the rules of the road (there were none) they even went through the green man.
The main resort is very good and has something for everyone, if you are going to Sunny Beach go somewhere closer to the main beach, beware of the beggers at main road they are relentless and they even have designer phones.

I cant praise Sunny Beach enough whatever you are looking for its there. The beaches are the best, the food is very good, lots to choose from both English and Bulgarian and others. To me the people are the most friendliest I have ever met. I have made wonderful friends out there. When I return in August it will be my 20th time.
What I like is the love the Bulgarians have for children they cater for then, many restraunts have a kids show on the maestro on the prom near central pier is a good one.
Sunny Beach is so good for teenagers plenty of night clubs of all kinds. Like i said above what ever you want its there if you are going have a good holiday .
