We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

The good weather helped to attract people to the beach. The sand was gorgious was the water was perfect when you were aloud in. If there were waves then the lifeguards wouldn't let you swim in the water.
The nightlife was great. There are lots of good restaraunts which serve cheap but reasonably good meals. The only thing to remember is when you order soup you have to ask for 'hot soup' or they'll bring it to you cold. There is a great karaoke every night from 22:30 to 2:00 at the Marbella.
Most people seemed to be nice and were willing to help. However men, if you're out after modnight don't be surprived to be offered sex.
Overall though, it's mabey not the best place to take kids but it's a great place to relax in the sun.

Sunny beach would be a nice resort if they would fill in all the pot holes in the road. Entertainment wise none unless you go to the prostitutes selling themselves for 2 levs. The beach is meant to have a blue flag for cleanliness but you will find the condoms on the beach from the prostitutes. Everyone is tring to scam you from the customs at the airport to the police.

We found the resort to be nice and clean the beach was great but the entertainment needs to be improved on.
The only real complaint is the staff at bars and restaurants making a nuisance of themselves trying to drag you in every time you walk past. But I would definitely visit sunny beach again.

The resort itself is very built up with lots of bars and restaurants close to hand, although the entertainment is poor. We managed to enjoy ourselves simply at the Happy Hours which most bars have between certain hours in the evening!
Despite the resort being busy with lots of people about, it never appeared to be dirty.
The beach seemed to be clean, althouhg fairly busy. We stayed by the pool most of the time so didn't get to sample the beach much.

Lots of bars/restaurants/shops. Locals are really friendly and don't hassle you to come into there shops.

Resort was clean enough entertainment was non existant which I found very unusual as all places I been to has had some sort of act.
On beach was lovely and busy.
I would visit it in a few years time once it has become westernised.

We couldn't fault the resort, excellent food and drinks, quality and price.
I would certainly try DJ annys, I have never seen a meat skewer like it, it was more like a sword, we got five main coarses(all steak) abottle of wine,6 beers, two cokes for under £30, when I describe the portions as big, I mean big!
STAY CLEAR OF THE INFLATABLE TIGER SLIDE ON THE BEACHFRONT!!! My son went down first day (hes 3and a half) it wasn't inflated right, he dislocated his elbow and fractured his arm. Couldn't fault the medical care at all, just make sure you have good insurance, our excess was £250.
Overall I would go back but there isn't much for the kids at night in the bars really, that was the only let down.
If they go into the euro and the prices rocket to Spanish prices e.t.c people will not go, it is the cheapness of the place that makes it so appealing.
If you are in the southern part, head for the picadilly its excellent food and excellent service.

Sunny Beach is very flat and suitable for anyone. When you walk back from the beach some of the paths/roads are a bit dangerous (potholds, drains missing etc). On the main drag there were lots of restraurants and entertainment and it goes for miles. Most restraurants had something going on. There was plenty for kids to do - quad bikes on the beach, bunjee jumping, archery, 3 and 4d cinemas, simulators, fairground, photos taken with snakes, bears, ighuanas, hair braiding, nail painting, massage on the beach etc. etc. Lots of shops/stalls selling fake fake designer gear, watches, cds/dvds. Staff trying to get you into restraurants/shops but when you said you didn't want to they left you alone. Some people begging on the street but just ignored them! Beach could have been cleaner - lots of cigarette ends, small stones etc but it was flattened every evening. A visit to Khans tent is a must as it is a very good/professional night - book at the excursion shop outside Hotel Tanya - much cheaper than the tour operator.

Since 2004 when we last visited Sunny Beach it has become a bit grubby in some areas. Beware of potholes and broken pavements in dire need of repair.
The evening entertainment is basic in the restaurants and bars with pub singer shows, karaoke and magic shows but never the less enjoyable as you watch the world go by. Khans Tent and Gypsy camp shows were fine. Food in most restaurants is good.
The drinks vary from 35p to £1.20 a pint with varying happy hours offering cocktails/bulgarian spirits only to those that included beer and wine. A lot of bars persisted with loud techno music that appealed only to the young bar staff. Beware of the snakes, alligators and dancing bears wandering around for a photo opportunity.
The beach was excellent as usual with a nice wind to keep you cool with the tepid Black Sea. Sun loungers and parasols are a bit pricey at 6 leva per day each.
Having visited Sunny Beach twice now, it will be a long time before I go back as we have seen and done everything that was there.
