Think of Paradise and it is HERE.
The sand is pure white and feels like talcum powder,The sea was so warm and clear that my wife found that not really a sea person couldn`t stop herself from snorkling and investigating the reef.
The staff on and around the beach are very pleasent while not being pushy what ever you want to do is possible.
After going all around the world and vowing never going to return to the same country twice, this has lasted less than a year as we are returning to Cuba again this year.`

Guardalavaca is lovely. People are friendly and this is a very safe place to be.
There really isn't a lot going on here though. A small market everyday and a few shops and bars.
Beach by the market is amazing, better then our hotel beach. Take time to chat with the locals, you will have a great time.

Being our hotel wasn't really in the resort of Guadalavarca, it was a 15 minute drive by taxi, we didn't really see it. What we did see we have rated accordingly.

Guardelavaca is about 15 mins away from the hotel itself by horse and carriage, there isn't a huge amount there but we did manage to pick up some lovely stuff by local artists in the market.
The entertainment is ok, nothing special but enjoyable to watch and have a giggle at! The house musicians are fantastic though.
The beach is superb and the two beach snack bars are great, the Nina does the best burgers ever!
All in all a great place to have a holiday, good value for money and you can do as much or as little as you want.

Guardalavaca is being developed SLOWLY. Highpoints are deep sea fishing and swimming with dolphins. There are only 4 shops and only 1 bar in town. Its a very poor area and the grass is that long on the golf driving range you could make hay bales on it.

Guadalavaca is remote. The whole resort including the beaches are spotless (no ciggarette buts in sand) The gardens are beautifully kept and everything is constantly maintained.
I heard that entertainment was OK plenty to do.
The beach was gorgeous white powdery sand and turquoise sea. Watch out for hidden coral/rocks and surprise ledges though.
The beach was serviced by a great resturant open all day with well stocked bar. Plus small beer and juice stands half way down the beaches.
Sun loungers put out and wiped even though clean already by lovely staff. If you tip on the 1st day, your beds will be saved every day in the spot that you want. fantastic. I never thought I would go twice to a resort, but I will definately return with my family.

The beach was beautiful with soft white sand and crystal blue sea. There had been some reports of coral in the area, but the sea was so clear that it was easily avoided. This is the best place for snorkling enthusiasts as there are hundreds of varieties of fish quite close to the shore that we only see in a tropical fish tank.
Don't hesitate. Book up and enjoy absolute paradise.

Cleanliness was not too bad. They seemed to employ people to do almost anything thus giving full employment. The beach was OK but the weather in December was not that good in 2004. The entertainment was good but on a weekly rota, so once you've seen it that's it I'm afraid.
