Playa Pesquero is a 5* All-Inclusive hotel that is extremeley good value for money.
Its setting is idyllic although a fair distance from Guardalavaca and anything else really!!
The evening entertainment is a real let down however. Being located on the white sand beach, it really is like being in paradise !

The resort was paradise with marble floors and fountains in the foyer although it does not reflect the way of life in Cuba. On a trip out of the resort a guide told us that the resort was a "far cry from the real Cuba". How true his words were....

The beaches are beautiful here and the surrounding areas stunning, the main resort of Guardalavace has plenty of salsa bars so you can get out of the complex.

The whole resort was clean and tidy. Although you did find the odd plastic cup dotted around where people didn't put them in one of the many bins provided.
The beach was lovely with plenty af shaded areas and lots of sunbeds. The snorkling is excellent. Take plenty of high factor suncreams. The sea breeze is deceptive!

The area of Guardelevaca that we stayed in was basically made up of hotels, the Luna y Mares, the Paradisus and a couple of others that I didn't see the names of. There really isn't much to do outside of the hotels but the variety in the hotels is so good that this isn't too much of a problem.
Hope this helps somebody out there the way that Sarahs report helped me.

The resort ware we stayed was very quiet! Nothing to do at all outside the hotel!
The entertainment was fair!
But the beach was wonderful!

Once outside the hotel complex there is not much to see unless you go on trips or hire a moped which we did. I would advise anybody to do this as it enables you to explore other parts of this beautiful place, with its fabulous green countryside in addition to beautiful beaches.

Lovely resort. Not much going on outside of the hotel. We found out about a beach party that went on every night right down the end of the resort, which was excellent, if not a bit humid and sweaty!
Local market nearby, you can walk down easily or there are horse and carts available, which are fun and very cheap!
Some shops also around, a T-shirt shop, a Cigar/ booze shop and then a general grocery shop.
