The resort of Ayia Napa is Great loads to do and lots of fantastic eateries, a must is the Limelight Taverna, You won't be dissapointed. Ayia Napa could do with a great big hose down though, as they have no rain (ever) it is a bit on the grubby side. The beachers are OK if you are a beach lover. Having been to Ayia Napa twice I would not go again.

Ayia Napa itself is becomoing more and more for the younger generation, but we still enjoyed it there. It was my 10th time there, and definitely not the last. We're hoping to go back next year for another 2-week holiday.

Ayia Napa beach was very very busy with the sun loungers too close to each other.

The resort Center is as you would expect very busy and noisy, more for teens and 20s. but good for a visit by any age, but go before 10pm then get back near to your hotel, unless you want dragging into the all nigh clubs. The British kids are nearly always the most troublesome.
beaches are Good, water is clean. weather is good and Hot, but after 10 visit's in July, we now find it too Hot, next time we will come in September.

We stayed in Ayia Napa which I think some people think will be mad and busy but the only part that is like that really is the square where all the big clubs and pubs are.
This hotel Tasia Maris is a good 20 mins walk from there. The hotel wasnt really near any good bars and it was quite quiet in that area so to go someone good and more choice you had to do the 15min walk into the main part of Ayia Napa. We had to do taxis most times because of how stuffy and hot it is in the evenings.
The beach by the hotel is Sandy bay, quite small but very nice and kept really nice and clean. Good water sports as well.

Very disapointed in Nissi Beach, lots of seaweed since last going, very very busy beach, with lots of loud music and youngsters, a very youngsters beach. So if you want a relaxing beach holiday - not for you.

Didn't like Aiya Napa sorry. Walked in (about 45mins) a few times but thought it was dirty and unpleasant. Bar after bar and very busy. Roads to and around centre area busy and loud with loads of idiots on scotters, quads etc.. Nissi beach is just across the raod from the Aeneas and is very busy but nice if you use it before the youngsters get there to pose, usually by mid day. Only prob was and apparently it has never had the problem until this year was the seaweed that came in sometimes with the tide. Water sports on Nissi were good and well managed. Other nice beaches close by and quieter. Theres a very good Japanese resturant on the way into Aiya Napa where the food is good and they cook the food in front of you which kids love. Also told there a good restaurant called Los Lobos that friends of ours tried and liked.

Ayia Napa has not changed much over the last few years, apart from more and more buildings are going up!
There are some great places to eat and drink during the evening, and more than enough clubs if you want to be the party animal.
Don't be put off by Napa's reputation, the club scene does not really get going till midnight, and unless you are there for that reason you'll probably be back at your hotel by then.
For a good evening drink, go to The Golden arrow Bar, just up from clarabels resaurant, for an excellent meal, a must is Los Bandidos mexican restaurant.
A good lively resort with plenty to do for all ages.

Can i just say that if you find Nissi Beach to busy and loud then there are several other beachws-some secluded-that you can go to. There is no point going to cyprus and just visiting one beach-for ayia napa has several beaches. Makronissos beach is absolultley beautiful-white sand, mainly families, with turquoise water-better than Nissi beach by miles.
Ayia Thekla beach-about 5-10 mins drive from Nissi beach is a gorgeous secluded beach-with only about 405 people on it a t any one time-its a bit rocky to start at the shore-however one you pass that the sand is thick and unspoilt-perfect for a getaway. there is also a very cheap resturant on the beach-that locals use and is a quarter of the price the mainstream places charge.
Nissi beach is beautiful-but woefully busy, noisy and there was seaweed this year- i reccomend going there off season only.
Sandy bay beach-ok, but a little rocky and can be a bit deep, quiet mainly however there are sometimes day time beach parties there.
For a coastal walk go behind mcdonalds and take the beach path-it will lead you down to Nissi beach.
You dont have to go to the square for entertainment if you dont like it too rowdy-there are two strips which are quiter-Nissi avenue and the strip where KFC is situated. Make sure you visit castillo resturant-serving good cypriotfood, dont eat fast food like Mcdonalds-whats the point of coming on holiday to do that?
