Beaches

The resort was lovely and clean, rooms were cleaned everyday by the maids around lunch time. We did not go down to the beach as it was only a very small cove and not really a beach.

The resort is clean and tidy. The area we stayed in was towards the bottom end of paphos. Be aware that the actual resort of 'paphos' is a very large and stretched out area...if you're not carefull and you end up at one end like us you will spend alot of money on taxi's and buses.
Beware of taxi's as they seem to charge what they want most times, on average most of our journeys were £4 regardless of this being 1 mile or 5 miles! but on three occasions the same journey made over three nights cost us three different prices!
There is really only one beach - coral bay. The rest of paphos cosists of small rocky coves, i would imagine to be rammed in the height of summer.
Make sure you have brilliant evening entertainment in your hotel otherwise unless you like sitting in kareoke bars every night and/or eating all night in restaurants then there is very little evening entertainment in resort.
Highly reccommend 'scorpios' restaurant in the old town, they are a real greek restaurant that serves amazing food that is not overpriced and probably have one of the best views in paphos!

Municipal beach on Tomb of the Kings road was not on our free map, which we got from the Tourist Information Centre. the only beach mentioned was the one to the south of the harbour.
Coral Beach is an easy bus ride away and only 80 cents. Sunbeds and umberella are £1.00 each, and there are loo's and showers so you can clean off before leaving.
A lot of access point to the water were rocky so Neoprene beach shoes with rubber soles are a must, and saved you from standing on anything nasty. We took the ones we had for Croatia last year, but they are available in resort.

The hotel is a five minute walk from the triangle where there are several bars, restaurants, and shops. Next door to the hotel is The Good Times Cafe bar where they do a really good full english breakfast for £1.50 when you don't get up in time for the hotel breakfast. The bars nearby are ok but the better night life is down at the harbour and bar street in the town, it's about 20 mins walk from the hotel or 5 mins on the bus these run every 15 mins and cost 80 cents wherever you go. The nearest beach is the municipal beach about 10 mins walk away but if you want a better beach take the bus to Coral Bay, 30 Mins on the bus but worth the journey.

There is no access to a beach from this hotel as it's situated on a cliff top. The views are fab - especially at sunset.

Pathos is becoming quite crowded and too many tacky bars and restaurants. Several good meals at Raffles Restaurant. Coral Beach could do with a clean up. Hired a car and went for days out in Polis, Limosal and Troodos Mountains and had some good meals out. Would stay in Pathos again but only as a cheap holiday for a bit of sun.

We only visited Paphos resort its self one in our 2 week stay but when we did we found it to be very clean and vell maintained. We went to Bar street one night, when you went into the bars you were met by friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We did not go to the beach this time during my stay in Paphos this time, but from past visits and from the views they were very clean and beautiful with rich clear blue sea's. I would definatly visit this resort again andwould reccomend it to anyone.

Paphos is a wonderful resort with something for everyone. The tourist areas are kept clean and tidy. There are beaches to hand as well as a short bus ride away to Coral Bay which is renowned. Taxis are cheap to get around with at the end of a tiring day. Most restaurants serve excellent meals with plenty of variety. The bars are served with friendly staff on the whole and some offer entertainment if required. You can really pick and choose your holiday in Paphos and it's also a lovely area to explore if you wish to get away from it all. The Akamas Penninsula with deserted beaches and the famour Turtle Bay (Lara) is never crowded even in summer, and the mountains are great to explore as long as your hire car is not to small as the hills are quite a climb. If not so adventurous there are regular excursions offered in the resort and there's plenty for the kids to do as well.
Since our first visit in 2004, we have holidayed twice and now LIVE in Chloraka (adjacent to Paphos) having relocated from Essex in England. We are now having fun exploring the area even more and still find there's lots to do and see, we hope never to tire of Paphos and don't think we ever will or we wouldn't have moved here.
The only complaint we have is that some tourists continue to disrespect the Cypriots and their culture which you should embrace. If you do you will find Paphos to be a wonderful holiday resort and recommend it to one and all.
