We went to Paphos twice. Cannot comment on entertainment, beach as we did not use either.

The King Jason is about 8 minutes steady walk to the bars, shops, restaurants, and 12 minutes to the main frontage, it is in a residential area 200 yards to main road.
Places to eat try the Black Eagle; turn right at the main road 200 yards next to Half Moon bar (avoid bar, never stop pestering you to buy drinks), heading down towards the front look out for the Thessalonica restaurant opposite Papa George bar best food ever and reasonably priced, also the Moonlight café that has a waiter who is a character and very likable, avoid La Café Royale down at the front worst meal of the holiday.

Found Paphos to be clean and tidy, Spoilt for choice with number of bars and restaurants.
We did not visit the local beach but took a bus to Coral Bay (30 minutes). Cyp3.75 for 2 beds and brolly ,
in parts clean sand (some areas prone to cigatette butts).
Beach bars, and plenty of water sports available.
Visit Tomb of the Kings and Mosaics on Sunday its free
to EU citizens!

The weather was wonderful and the beaches, although rocky and not much sand, were very picturesque. It was lovely swimming in the sea and very safe. The area had lots of shops, bars a nightlife. Transport was good and we went on some very enjoyable excursions. We are retired and we enjoyed it every much. I would think that young people would really enjoy the night life there.

Taxis are cheap, bus services are regular, drinks can be expensive in the bars around the hotels so if you want cheap drinks it's best to go to central Paphos.
Beware of the time share sellers in the harbour area.

Pafos itself is a lovely place to stay. The harbour area is nice to be around during the day and especially at night. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from with a variety of cuisine on offer. Coral Bay is probably the best beach area with reasonable hire of beds and umbrellas. Getting into the sea is a bit difficult as you have to wade over large stones etc, so a pair of water shoes is a good idea. There are more than enough places in the area to visit and car hire is great. The Troodos mountains are a great escape and it is so refreshing to get away from the heat and the biz for a few hours. The flora and fauna in this area is amazing. Historical interests are plentiful and not to be missed. Places like Polis, Latchi and Pissouri are worth visiting as well as many others. Bus services are excellent and cheap making it easy to get around the resort. I will be visiting Pafos again in the near future.

The resort of Paphos was nice and clean. We didn't go out much in the evening as we were all inclusive but there is a lot to see around the island.

The resort was very nice & clean even though the walk along to the harbour by the beach could have been a bit nicer due to wobbly walkways.
Other than that it was very clean & the restaurants by harbour were very nice.

The town was very good with lots of bars and restaurants taxis and buses were always available.
We visited Coral Bay(local beach) and it was very good only 10 - 15 mins away. With sun beds available.
Fasouri water park in Limmasol is highly recommended, it was absolutly brilliant with rides to suit everybodys taste.
