cleanliness of resort was good. the beach near hotel was not a beach, we travelled to coral bay beach which was about 15mins by bus it was really nice. The entertainment had obviously left town by the time we arrived, there was none, even down Bar Street as it was called was dead...
We would not visit this resort again

WE love Paphos, have visited Cyprus many times and have always been delighted with everything. On this occasion we were slightly disappointed, overall I would return but on a B & B basis.

Paphos harbour is very nice and it is excellent to stroll and take in the sights, very impressed with this.
There is no beach at Paphos, the nearest one being 'Coral Bay' which is about a ten minute car ride away, over rated, the entry is over a bumpy dirt track, the beach looked okay but numerious locals charging for this and that, so cannot recommend it.
There was plenty of resort entertainment and would expect the whole area to be alive in the high season.

3rd visit to Paphos and The Theofano. Again everything superb!
Our next visit is May 2007. Again we will be staying at The Theofano. The family plus my dad are going out for a week. Although we will be travelling to Larnaca to check on the progress of the house, The Theofano is the place to stay and the drive to Larnaca (about 1.5 hrs from Paphos) is a joy and not the hardship it is on british motorways!!

Only went into Paphos twice, to the market early on so it was nice and quiet, its nice, undercover, but much of a sameness as markets everywhere else.
Around the harbour is very nice and pleasant, the mosaics near the harbour are well worth a visit and so is The Tombs Of Kings just outside of Paphos.
Did'nt go on the beach or sample any of the night entertainment so can't help there or give any score.

The hotel is located between Paphos town and Coral Bay, it's 6CP in a taxi to Paphos harbour, alternatively the excellent bus service costs only 80 and the buses run approximately every 15 minutes and stop about 50 metres from the hotel.
There are a few bars and restaurants very near to the hotel which are worth a visit. There is a tiny, horrible, rocky beach at the seafront of the hotel, alternatively there is quite a nice golden sandy beach accessed via a small scenic walkway along the seafront of the hotel,it takes about 10 minutes, there are some pebbles when you walk into the sea and then it's sand.
Coral Bay is the best beach in the area, it's nothing fantastic but it is sandy and watersports were on offer, there is also a small beach bar/cafe.
During our stay the weather was warm and mostly sunny, approximately 27deg.
I enjoyed visiting Paphos harbour, it is rather commercialised but very scenic, drinks and food are expensive in the harbouside restaurants but you are paying for the view which was pretty lovely.

I only went into Kato Paphos in the evenings for dinner and the streets etc seemed clean. I did not visit beach as am not a beach person.
Bar Street is an area of the resort which is literally bars/clubs and restaurants. I ate at several restaurants and will put a review up separately of them.
Some of the shops remained open until about 9pm but this gets earlier from November with the onset of winter season.
The tourist shops are all similar with the same sort of tourist gifts which are available in most parts of the world just with Paphos or Cyprus on them instead of "Spain, Canary Islands etc."
There are some nice leather shops and it is possible to get a jacket made to measure within a few days.
I would visit Paphos again for me it was fine as I am not a cultural person and do not like visiting monmuments, tombs, mosaics etc. As long as I have a pool area to sit around at an hotel and nice restaurants to visit in the evening I am happy.

On the whole Paphos is great, the people are always friendly and we have never had a bad meal. There is plenty to do but it is worth hiring a car to get about.
I can't really comment on the beaches this year as we gave them a miss, but in previous years they have been fine.
Yes I would visit Paphos again, but I would stay in a hotel or different apartments.

Only made a short visit to Paphos and thoroughly enjoyed it apart from the hustlers (probably Brits) who were trying to sell us property somewhere by rather devious means.

Visit Coral Bay - its a really nice beach. Paphos beach close to the Town is nice too, but if you are willing to catch a bus from the harbour for a 10minute drive up to Coral Bay you will be glad!
