We thought Paphos was a lovely place & there was plenty of places to eat & drink out, there's not much of a beach but
We wasn't bothered about this as we stayed round the pool. I would recommend Paphos.

what can i say? other than i will be back in september 07 and cant wait!!!! i love paphos everyone is friendly and loves to talk they are amazing and so accomodating with the children, whilst there you simply must visit the flintstones bar owners micheal and leo are out of this world, you wont find a better bar and again fantastic with the children and go out of their way to make everyone feel special and welcome, and a must for food is the manhattan resteraunt walk right along sea front staff fantastic and food out of this world and so so reasonalby priced.
A definate no no is the greek resteraunt beside the manhattan they offer locals dancing live entertainment every night entertainment fantastic food absolutly awful and to be honest you can watch entertainment from flintstones beach wasnt much to talk about nice enough but small but you can go to coral bay whilst there if you want a great beach, and lastly a must visit is the aphrodite waterpark my husband and i went away without the children this year but went to the waterpark anyway and so so glad we did we ran around like a couple of children there is so much to do and see and again so reasonably priced it was fantastic. i almost said enjoy paphos but that would have been silly you will love it!!

We have only ventured to Paphos harbour and there is no beach in that vicinity, but a short journey away you come to some of the loveliest beaches, or go to Coral Bay

Paphos is a great place for families, couples, young and lively. There is something for everyone. Lots of restaurants and bars. There is also a good bus service, which takes you to coral bay and different parts of the resort (its big). Try a restaurant called Fat Mamas, on tomb of the kings road.

Paphos has many attractions, the water park is a must, a trip to the market and a day at the harbour are also good days out, the no11 bus takes you to most of theses attractions only costing 80cents each way, if using a taxi negotiate the price before getting in.If you fancy a nice chinese meal, head towards the harbour to The Imperial Chinese, it was gorgeus and very reasonably priced! Most evenings we stayed in the hotel and then headed down to the pool bar or the gazebo bar inbetween the entertainment. During our stay we met loads of people and the hotel had a good mix of people from England,Scotland,Wales,France&Germany, there are loads of sun loungers available but make sure you get your towel down early! Don't forget the suncream, its very expensive in Cyprus, the only small safety issues we had were the water sits on some rocks at the beach, just watch the kids and also the lifts in the hotel were very cranky, closing on you and breaking down many times, we were the lucky ones to get stuck in one,Not!

Typical Med resort. Many bars but also some interesting ruins to see. No beach as such and expensive to eat out especially round the harbour. Plenty of opportunity for boat trips. We saw no trouble or rowdyism which was good. The old town is something and nothing but there is an M&S. Good bus services and taxis. All in all worth a stay but wouldnt go back to Paphos or Cyprus in a hurry.

We stayed in Paphos and really liked it. Bars are good although not if you fancy practising your Greek as majority of the bar staff are from eastern europe!!
Can highly recommend Porto Bello Italian restaurant on Poseidonos Ave Kato Paphos. Fantastic food and really great service and the owner Andreas is a real sweetie.
Bar Street is a bit tacky but superb for people watching.

We have visited Paphos on four previous occasions and have fallen in love with it. We stay in the Kato Paphos area which has a very good mixture of shops, bars & restaurants. A must if you do visit Kato Paphos is the Palermo restaurant. It is situated close to port end of Bar Street near to the fountain and Zoro's bar. The food is the best in Paphos and the staff are really friendly and don't hassle you. There is plenty to see in the surrounding area should you wish to hire a car and explore.

Paphos is a very clean resort and plenty to see and do. Special mention about the walk along the harbour and the excellent views

The resort of Paphos is basically one long street leading to the harbour, there are avariety of shops bars and returaunts. Bar Street is set back from the front and tends to attract the younger holidaymakers but it is worth a visit or two. Considering the amount of people in the resort the streets were kept quite clean and tidy. Yes we would and most likely will visit this resort again
