Expert Opinion

Paphos is a picturesque town with a small harbour. There are lots of touristy shops and restaurants along the front but you can venture into the back streets for other options, or into Paphos old tow…

This hotel is on the main coast road to Coral Bay from Paphos, the bus service is good every ten mins,
there are no beaches as such but access to the sea for a dip
I would visit again yes

The resort is for everyone and any age.

There is stuff for all - the nightlife - Bar Street and the Harbour - are a must to visit.

There is plenty of history to pop in to as much as you can
The weather makes it all the more enjoyable. The only downside is the state of the streets on the outskirts, BUT, Bar Street and the Harbour area is beautiful and very clean.

It is a must that you visit Bistro La Piazza (next to Macdonalds), Tony the owner is very welcoming and the food is of the highest standard, also visit Garbo's French restaurant (turn right out of the hotel) for gastronomic delights and Happy Island Greek resturant for authentic food. You will be spoilt for choice for bars and resturants. Make sure you buy your duty free in the resort, as the duty free shop at Paphos airport is very limited, not much cheaper and they were closed for thier annual stock take which disappointed a lot of people.

Paphos is a fantastic place to be. As someone said on an earlier review, you could be there for a fortnight and not eat in the same place twice.
Try the spaghetti in Metaximas (I think that's how you spell it). It's not far from the Aloe, first right after Phivos on the main road.
I would absolutely recommend Paphos for a great holiday.

Paphos is a lovely place to stay, there is a wide variety of shops and restaurants and bars. The main harbour is a nice walk and the main hotels have private beaches or coral bay is a nice sandy beach just a bus ride away.

People are extreamly relaxed and nothing is done in a rush! the waterpark is worth a visit for the day, especially if you have children, this to is on the bus rout although cabs are cheap and allways available.

The hotel stands in between Paphos and Coral Bay and there seems to be not much around it,but if you go up the really steep hill from the traffic lights you find a good selection of bars and restaurants and the road was being re-covered whilst we were there.

There is little entertainment around the hotel but if you turn left at the traffic lights the few bars that are around have entertainment on occasional nights but in the hotel you have live entertainment in two bars in the hotel.

The hotel has invested in building a lagoon down at the beach and has a small beach area and it has also put a floating pontoon in the lagoon which is popular with hotel guests and what appeared to be some local youths.

Yes I would visit this hotel again but do not get confused with the Thomson T's,it is not a 5 star hotel but a good 4 star compared to some I have been to.

There is a stone footpath now which stretches all along the beach for probably about 1-2 miles,a nice walk before breakfast. By the way the reps are based at this hotel and can soon sort out any problems. It is worth getting a car for a couple of days and get round the island.

Lots of bars and restaurants, souvenir shops etc. Really cheap to hire a car locally and go exploring, so be led to belive you should get an expensive one from your rep.

Quick bus ride (for 80 cents) up the road goes to a much better beach at Coral Bay because Paphos is quite rocky.

Very clean place, bit dusty and that makes it look worse than it really is.

Plenty of entertainment, from adults only places to pubs with bouncy castles or play ares.

Paphos beach not great but ok, Coral bay beach excellent, watersports a bit on the expensive side tho.

Paphos is our preferred side of the island and has a mixed offering of places to stay and go within easy reach.
The harbour is lively, there are plenty of bars but at the same time the small villages around allow for a quieter, more traditional setting.
Coral Bay is 10 minutes away and a bit if time exploring will pay dividends.
