Terrible virtually non existant beaches, frozen food in restaurants, litter everywhere.

Whilst we very much enjoyed the holiday and will be booking again for summer 2007 we were disappointed with street cleanliness and the amount of litter in / around the resort

The Hotel is located outside Paphos on a main road but it does not get very busy at all. The bus stop (turn right out of the hotel as this stop is the nearest and has the least number of people waiting at it) to the Harbour, Paphos town and Coral bay. Tickets are a fixed price all times of the day. There have been some shops built on the other side of the road a bit down from the Hotel which are handy. Good prices for Alcohol as well. About 1 kilometre from the Hotel which is about half way to the Harbour are some shop and Restraints which sell very reasonable priced meals. The Irish bar was a favourite of ours as they gave you popcorn with your drinks; it was like a starter before we had our meal out. Everything is expensive in the Harbour, we got 2 cans of coke and it cost us £5.00 which to me was disgusting. The market is worth a visit in the Old Town as the stalls are great to wonder round. You need to go in the morning as they start shutting at about 12.30. If you want to go on any organised trips go out of the Hotel and turn left and where you can hire a car from they do trips. Don't book with your Travel Agent as they charge double the price and don't book car hire from home as again, car hire from in Cyprus was over half the price. Cannot think of much more to say, other than if you read this and do decide to go to Paphos I hope you have as good as time as we did.

We would definately visit this hotel again.
The pool was quite slippery but no one in our group actually fell. And pool entertainment was good. Again something for everyone if you wan't to join in.
The beach is great for the watersports but not for sunbathing.

Paphos. Know it well. Didn't use the beach this time, but have done in the past. Lots to do and see. The Pelican at Paphos Harbour is definitely worth seeing, especially if you are a child, or a big kid like me. Old Paphos is good to explore. Lots of old traditional craft shops, chair makers, coffin makers, cobblers etc. plus lots of new shops. Many restaurants and plenty to see and do. Great bus service 80c gets you pretty much anywhere.

Paphos is a fantastic resort - lots to do for adults (not just Bar Street!) and very child-friendly.We keep going back because we know that we won't be disappointed. As we have a young child (7), we don't want to risk holidaying somewhere and having a bad time. This has never happened in Paphos. I know that Paphos is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

But we are used to going to tenerife and Palma Nova and Im sorry but it is nothing like tat, there is no entainment in the pubs at all, its all about going out for meals in Cyprus.
kids and adults and the fooe is out thid world.
Remember to take lots of money cause you will need it.
Last of all visit Tomb of the kings, mosiques and Sorry i must tell plesaseeeeeeeeee go to Fat Mamas this will make your holiday, it fantastic, for both Trudous mountains and the Monsitary. But take lots and lots of water and cream as it very hot.
So if this is your kind of holiday o for it, everyones different. But my family will certainly never go back to Cyprus. Try The Imperial, Riminis, and Hobo cafe at the harbour, Chloes, The new Dehli, all very nice. But expensive, but Cyprus is.Sorry i must tell plesaseeeeeeeeee go to Fat Mamas this will make your holiday, it fantastic, for both Trudous mountains and the Monsitary. The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk to the bars and shops, the harbour was a bit to far for the kids to walk you need a car if you have small children or the bus/taxi.
A big super market right out the back of hotel next to the bowling alley(5 min walk).
Along bar street the best restaurant we went to was nostalgia next to pandora's. We also went to Pelican restaurant in the harbor, the food was OK but they were busy and the service was slow and later about 9.30 the bring out the Pelicans which the kids loved and also Zorbas which was OK.
We went to the Tombs of the Kings which was interesting (not for the kids boring). We went to the bird and animal park and saw a parrot show and lots of birds and some giraffes. And the aquarium in the harbor and that was OK if you like fish.
In all the resort was good there were bars and restaurants in easy walking distance, but far enough away not to be noisy.

Its just a short bus ride into Paphos and its cheap too. The harbour area is lovely with cafes and bars to sit in and watch the boats coming and going. There are lots of bars and restaurants to eat in, all just a short distance from the hotel. We walked along the beach and actually walked into paphos one day, quite a walk but beautiful and you get the chance to see the other hotels and facilities! The Ledra Beach hotel has got more of a beach than most of the hotels, the others seem to have a lot of rock and some don't have loungers on them because of that. But we were very happy with ours.
