My dad visted the Coral Sea resort in March this year with a group of freinds(about 8 of them) And they all absolutly loved it, my dads still talking about it today.. He loved it that much he's paid for me to go in November with my boyfreind I can't complain lol
He said that the staff was brilliant always up for a laugh and very very nice ... he said it's worth tipping them as you then feel like a vip for the rest of the stay as, but they don't make you feel like you have to which is always good!!
He said the food was great plenty to choose from, the hotel was like a palace, the pools were lovely ...
Entertainment could do with improving but still alright! He said it's great for kids!!!!
Nama bay is the place to go for the shopping and nightlife, he said the excursions offered are of a wide choice and all his friends went on the quad bikes which they loved. The friends he did go with have been all over the world and said this is the nicest place they have ever been to (Sharm) there all going again next year....
and im going in Novemeber 2006. So i shall also write a review once I get back.

The staff are very welcoming, polite & enjoy every-one's company. They just cant do enough for you.
The food was enjoyabe & there is everything & anything you could possibly want - something for everyone.
TIP: When you check into your room ask the staff to empty your mini bar - then you can get bottles of water from the restaurant, as this is the only time water is avail.
The entertainment was a bit dire & the bar where its all held (the irish bar) was crap - very small & crowded, this is also where the kids clubs too place in the evening too.
We had a queen size room & it was huge very clean & spacious.
We did enjoy our week away at the Coral Sea Resort Hotel but there is so many other hotels around the same area that we wouldnt go back to this hotel again.

The hotel is brand new and kept in immaculate condition both inside and out.
Food is very good with a wide choice of cuisine in the buffet restaurant. There are different theme nights supplemented by a wide choice of Egyptian cuisine. However, as one would expect in just a four star hotel there are no branded drinks though the lager is very good.
Entertainment is pretty dire. During the day it is fine with volley ball, quizzes, etc. but in the evening there is only a tiny, cramped room called the Irish Bar (joke!) in which you can really socialise. It is only a place to visit if your addicted to passive smoking as in this respect it is dreadful.
Of course, the main reason for coming to the Red Sea Riviera this time of year is the weather. I took a thermometer out to the pool with me every day and the lowest temperature it reached was 25 degrees and on one day it rose to 29 degrees centigrade. Not bad for February and my friend and I both came back with decent tans.
The hotel also has the benefit of being on the sea front. It is worth bringing a diving mask and snorkel with you as the fish you see off the jetty are quite simply out of this world. It is like swimming about in your own personal aquarium.
One word of advice. People on the whole seem obsessed with so call 'deli-bug'. This is not a problem in this day and age when staying in a reputable hotel. Don't avoid the salad and don't avoid cleaning your teeth as we didn't and we were fine. Speaking as a doctor I can assure you that most tummy bugs abroad are caught by eating badly cooked meat especially when purchased from street vendors.
All in all a lovely hotel and I'd consider coming back again.

The pool area and grounds are well maintained and the entire hotel was spotless.
The staff couldn't do enough for you and we were impressed with the food. We never suffered any health problems and we ate the salad and used the tap water for cleaning our teeth!
If you get chance to go quad biking in the desert - go! I didn't want to go and it was amazing!!! We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely go again!

The smaller pool is busier during the winter months as it is heated. Pool attendants are great and will allways try their best to find you sun beds. The pool bars are very good and also have their own waiter who you can order from if you have to much to carry.
The hotel is situated about 100 yards from a beach, the beach is ecellently clean and great fun as you can walk along a jetty and dive of the end.
You can also hire snorkeling equipment at the end of the jetty which is not expensive and well worth it! When on the beach you need to be aware of cammels as their owners will try to persuade you to touch them and ask you to pay for a cammel ride.
There is also a small range of shops in the hotel along with an irish bar with nightime entertainment.there is always somewhere you can eat so you will never go hungry!naama bay is well worth a visit catch the bus from the hotel or a taxi will pick you up from the front gate at small price.
Shopkeepers can be a little irritating as they will drag you into their shops and make a fuss of you. Egyptians also try to trade you cammels for the person you are with! Room service is of a very high standard and housekeepers will wait for you to be ready for them to clean your room.
Altogether the hotel was fantastic we will definatley go there again and strongly recommend it.

The hotel was very nice and clean. always someone working and caring around the grounds. food was good especially the cakes at breakfast. No liquers were available and wern't use to the pay after midnight for drinks at an all inclusive.
Weather was nice, had a relaxing time but big pool freezing at this time of year. smaller pool heated.
We love the sun but would not come here in the summer with kids as it would just be to hot for them.
Overall it is a lovely hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay ... no complaints.
ps if you go into Sharm el Sheikh you must go to the Hard Rock Cafe and eat so cheap and buzzing with atsomphere, go ther first and put your name down, then go round shops and then come back.

Maintanance were very quick at sorting problems as we had a flood in the bathroom and we had to ring reception as there was a nail sticking out of the bed were very quick to come and fix it.
The food was lovely always plenty of it although the desserts are the same all the time.
The entertainment was ok but repeats way to often we stayed for 2 weeks and the spinning man was repeated three times. Mini disco for the kids is supposed to be at 8.30 every night but was late every night bingo every night and a quiz even these were repeated. Not very good if you are disabled or young children we had to carry the buggy up stairs every day as there are no ramps. Don't know why its called an irish bar just one cramped room where all the entertainment is and when the bingo and quiz is on the entertainment team are asking you to keep your kids sat down and quiet which is hard when you've got young kids that get bored.
The kids were supposed to get free popcorn every day from 11-3 but half the holiday there was none and when there was it was gone by 12 beach not very good water very shallow for a long way out and there are no facilities on the beach have to walk back to the beach restaurant for a drink sand not very nice either the smaller pool is lovely and heated this is where you will find the most friendly staff.

Food & hotel staff were as good as we have experienced & come to expect in Egypt. The beach & sunshine is what this holiday is about for us. The beach bar & sea are just right for a walk & to snorkel, in between the relaxation periods.
The feeling of space not just in the ample bedrooms but throughout meant that a holiday for people like us who never used the heated pool area & only the beach restaraunt at lunchtimes & lobby bar in the evenings could have our kind of holiday whilst other areas catered for different activeties that others expected.

More of a butlins abroad type holiday. If this is your thing then this hotel will suit.
Food and dining areas dissappointing.
Grounds of hotel are quite nice but still in the early stages.
Rooms are spacious and clean but I did find that there were some flaws for a hotel that is supposedly new(9 months open).
Staff were not bad.
In saying all this we asked to be moved to different hotel as this one did not meet standards. The hotel we went to was excellent and is being sold in the same catergory as The coral sea.
Think before you book

Yes the hotel is new, which means some good points & some small points which will improve with time. The good points are that everywhere is clean & tidy & spotless clean. We stayed in a standard room (2053), which I can recommend, this room was on par with hotel rooms you would find in the USA, ie two double beds (which are very firm !) Satellite TV, Mini Bar (Chargeable), excellent bathroom, shower & facilities including a fixed hair drier, although you could loan a plug-in one from the reception, along with a host of other household equipment if you so desired, so no need to pack your hair drier or travel iron ladies !!
The food was very good, having stopped in All-Inclusive resorts before, this was on par with any around the world which we have visited, a massive selection, & yes if you were here for 2 weeks, I would suppose you could get a bit bored if it, but from my experience, that's All-Inclusive!We stayed only for the week & it was superb & no "Delhi belly" from anyone we heard from.
The hotel only has two nationality of guests, Brits & Russians. The Russians are OK, eat like horses & can be a bit ignorant, but keep themselves to themselves.
The Hotel entertainment........yes sorry to repeat the comments of other guests, but it is a bit dire. Evenings consists of Kids Disco @ 8.30pm Bingo @ 9.00pm & other various 'Entertainment' at around 10.00pm, including Karaoke etc. It's the repeating cycle every evening which is a bit much & the Irish Bar is more reminiscent of a working man's club. The hotel has a fantastic outside Amphitheatre, called 'Bedrock' which you'll soon see why when you get there.
Day time entertainment was typical of what you would expect of a family based All-Inclusive resort catering for the Brits, not my cup of tea, but seemed the please the families with kids, which was good.
The best entertainment we had all wee was watching the Russians watch our entertainment !! ie All the Brits laughing & the Russian stoney faces, cause they couldn't understand a word & the humour.
All in all a great hotel which will only get better with time once the gardens mature in the next couple of years. I would come back here if I wanted a cheap week in the sun in very pleasant surroundings. Although check out the hotel next door but one (to the beach & right, 10 mins walk) before you book if you want sheer All-Inclusive resort heaven ! The Laguna Vista Resort (through Thomas Cook) This must be the most fantastic Hotel complex that I have every seen, in 20 years of travel around the world including the USA. If we come back next year I hope it will be here....breathtaking, I assume not cheap, but what a place !!
