First inpression of Coral sea was fab. Quick check in and the restaurant was keep open as we arrived at 10.45pm and it usually closes at 10pm. The food was really nice and catered for everyones needs. Our suitcases were taken to the room for us, which saved us having to carry them to and from the room.

The room were very clean and spacious, also they were cleaned every day.

We were happy with the location as we did not want to be right in the heart of Naama Bay, you could use the shuttle bus to get there if you wanted to go. This only cost a pound each was.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool guys put your towels out for you each morning, they even remembered where every on sat. The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing the guys never stopped cleaning from morning until night time.

The entertainment was OK if you had kids, but if you meet other people well they truely kept you entertained.

Spent the first two days on the beach which was really clean and also towels were again provided for you. Nice warm breeze, beach had a jetty but weas not very save but everyone used it to go out snorkeling which was amazing.

We have just arrived home and are booking to go back same time next year.

After arriving at hotel all looked very good the rooms were very large and spacious although basic and the pool and grounds looked superb.

We arrived on a Friday at just after midnightand decided to unpack and go to bed as the children were very tired, the room was very hot so we put on the air conditioning and went to sleep when we awoke the whole room was filled by the smell of raw sewage that was coming from the air conditioning so we turned it of and contacted reception in the morning.

We was told by reception that they would see to the problem straight away but nobody came to repairthe air conditioning.

On saturday night I was violently sick throughout the night and had extremely bad dihorrea that was to last the full fortnight.

On the Sunday one of my children went down with the same, my second child also had the same the following day and my wife the next.

We were not alone most of the hotel suffered the same sickness but some were worse than others especially the older hotel residents who became very dehidrated and a few people were very ill on the flight home and looked in a very bad way.

After complaining about the air conditioning again someone come out and fixed it only for it to completely break down again.

But in the end we got it sorted and boy do you need it.
We still managed to enjoy the holiday and the facilities in fairness are very good.

The entertainment I must say is very poor the hotel does not put any on it is solely run by the first choice reps who work extremely hard to fill the gap and deserve all the credit they get.

The hotel shops are a rip off and hike their prices up on your last day as they know most people depart on a thursday a good tip is to by your inflatables before you travel we brought ours for

What a fantastic hotel. On arrival you are greeted with a glass of juice, the bellboy will then bring your cases to the room for you. On entering the reception you are greeted by a large sprial marble staircase leading to downstairs with a pebble river that flowed outside towards the pool area. Magnificent!

Check in was very quick and immediately felt at home with the very friendly staff.

The tight security (metal detectors on all hotel entrances in Sharm followed by an armed tourist police guard) made you feel safer than I have on any holiday so far.
The rooms were so clean and roomy. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The housekeeper even arranges your shoes into pairs neatly and folds any clothes lying aroung. (if your messy like we were).

The diving school within the complex was fantastic. Amar the insturctor we had was so professional and patient with us on out first dive. A special Thanks to him.
The complex is huge with own private beach and jetty for the those who like snorkling.

Red sea has so much to offer and we found a whole new world to explore on our dive.

Food was buffet food and very nice. Some tourists complained that it made them ill however this is not the case. You need to drink 6 litres of water every day in the desert and those that do not suffer severe stomach cramps and sickness (trust me, i suffered so make sure you drink enough water), this is signs of dehydration and not food related at all. English tablets do not work but the on site pharmacy sell tablets that will sort you out in no time.

Naama Bay which is a 20 min drive through desert away is nice however more commercial and i hope the area of Sharm aroung Coral Sea does not go this way as it will spoilt the fantastic scenery.

I would describe Coral Sea as paradise, so much to offer and more. I will definitely go back next year but this time for 2 weeks.

We stayed in the coral sea resort for 11 nights.

As soon as we walked in we got the wow factor, welcomed with drinks and food and our bags taken to our room.the cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic, the guys were constantly cleaning even at midnight they worked so hard but always had a smile and a hello for you,the food was very nice mainly beef chicken fish fresh pasta and pizzas it did get a little repetitive but no complaints as theirs only so many dishes you can make.

Tthe hotel location was great, only a 10 minute drive from the airport, about 30 minutes to naama bay and we walked out of our room and straight onto the beach which was great.

We didnt really join in the entertainment as we went just to relax and it was far too hot anyway but for the people who did join in their was aqua aerobics, bingo, quizzes, beach volleyball, penalty shoot out on the astro turf pitch, giant snakes n ladders, chess, killer pool, lilo races for the kids, cabaret, kareoke, and lots more, a little advice the entertainment staff are running out of cd's to play round the pool so take any along and they will gladly play them.

People were putting their towels round pool very early we sat on the beach most days though and tipped our towel guy salem a pound every few days and we got the same sunbeds every day no matter what time of day we decided to stroll down..beach towels provided free of charge.

On the beach you get sea chairs to take in the sea and put your feet up literally as they float and sunbathe we bought some sea shoes from the hotel shop as the coral can be quite sore on the feet so 5 pound well spent. Dont pay more than 5 english pounds to ride the camels on the beach which you will see to the left of you, they are lovely called Snoopy and Michael Jackson.

You are advised not to walk on the jetty as it is still under construction so do so at your own risk but it is quite safe everybody snorkelling off the end of it,a good tip is to take some bread from the restaurant and feed the fish to get a good look at them.

The bottled water is free on a dinner and tea save your empty bottles and fill up from the water coolers round the pool bar and the mermaid bar you can also get pop water spirits beers wine and cocktails. There are some toilets hidden away at the back of the mermaid bar so if you get stuck round the pool or on the beach these are the nearest one's. if you go into Naama Bay be prepared to sweat..it's red hot because its all enclosed a good idea to take some cool mist spray.

Dont buy a visa at the airport unless you want to travel out of sharm or go on a boat trip and lastly take high factor the temp was 53 degrees last week as we left and getting hotter, drink plenty of water as people were fainting with the heat. A lot of people were poorly including myself the pharmacy sell some tablets which work wonders and re-hydrate you its not food poising it's a mixture of the heat and the change in food as people in all other hotels were also poorly you'll be lucky to escape it.

We would visit the hotel again its like paradise but wouldnt go back with First Choice.

This was our second trip to the Corl Sea and we had a wonderful time again.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and friendly.

All of the staff go out of their way to make you welcome and we were surprised that many of them recognised us from last year, they seemed genuinely glad to see us visit the resort for a second time.

Hany the manager welcomed us as though it was his own home and we were family.

This time we went snorkelling both off the beach and to Garden Reef, I am quite nervous in the water but it was the most fantastic experience of my life.

Food at the hotel is very good with a good choice every day, you can eat at almost any time of the day as there is always food available.

Cleanliness is excellent, rooms are cleaned every day and clean towels and linen issued daily.

Staff at the hotel are wonderful, they are always smiling and happy to help and work extremely hard to make the holiday enjoyable.

We have been twice and never got ill, although we are careful about the food, no salad or ice cream. We are also careful in the sun as it is extremely hot, it is a matter of being sensible, I stay in the shade quite a lot and still come back with a fantastic tan.

Entertainment is not so brilliant for adults, there are plenty of activities during the day, water polo, football, beach/water volley ball and quite a ot for the kids, but evening entertainment is not so good, I would like the see the Irish Bar made more use of, maybe have some music so the adults can have a dance as there is only a kids disco at the entertainment area.

We are definately going back next year as we love this place so much.

Well done Coral Sea and all who sail in her.

Just returned from the Coral Sea resort and it is excellent. Ignore the moaners as it is a top notch resort. Yes you will get slight belly ache but nothing more if you're careful what you eat and limit yourself on the alcohol and drink gallons of water.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. I celebrated my birthday the second day in and when I got back to the room there was a birthday cake waiting and a birthday card from the management. A really nice touch.

Advice I would give is; tip the barman in the Irish bar(Ahmed). Service will improve immensely. DO NOT feed the fish as others have said as this is not healthy for them. Wear beach shoes when venturing into the sea. Ask the hotel to empty the mini bar (if you're not going to use it) on arrival as they will try to get you to pay for things you haven't had.

A final note of caution. Watch the weight of your luggage as they will charge you at Sharm airport if you are over your allowance. We got through Manchester Ok being a little overweight but not on the return from Sharm.

Thanks to Robo and Hayley for a good time. Cheers guys.

We stayed at this hotel on 22nd June to 4th July 2006. I think Sharm el Sheikh is fantastic, the weather is brilliant and the beach at this hotel is fabulous.

The main areas of the hotel itself are kept spotless. The pool areas are great. The hotel staff are good especially those who work in the restaurant. I didn't think much of the First Choice reps here or the entertainment they provided.

Our room was a nice size but there were a few problems and we had to keep getting maintenance to come and fix them. I have to admit that the bathroom in my room looked very shabby with broken tiles and mouldy sealant and a shower that kept leaking onto the floor.

After five days eating at the restaurant we got so fed up with the repetitive food we started heading into Namma Bay as there are so many different restaurants to choose from and you can get a meal and drink for a couple of quid. Hard Rock Cafe is well worth a visit but it gets really busy so don't leave it too late. Everyone had a dodgy tummy when we were here so whatever you do don't eat any fruit or veg or drink any water thats not bottled.

The shopping in Naama Bay is fantastic, so many malls and lots of great bargains, don't be fooled by those selling perfume its a waste of money - I learnt the hard way. Cigarettes are very cheap out here you can get Karelia fags for

This was our first visit to Egypt and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by the staff,check-in was made quick & easy with no stress after a long day traveling.

Our room was on the ground floor looking out onto the pool but also with a sea view, the room was very clean with tv,telephone, table&chairs, lots of cupboard space and a hugh bed,the bathroom was of a nice size with lovely decor. Our cleaner kept the room clean throughout our stay & decorated it for sean's 40th birthday.

The gardens & pool area were kept extremely clean and there were always sunbeds to be had at any time of the day. The pool attendants work very hard with a smile all day long{big thanks to amr for always being ready to chat & arange our sunbeds for ushe also gave sean a presant for his birthday even though he only earns

We stayed at the Coral Sea Beach resort in Sharma. On arrival the hotel looked as though it was 4*, but after a while you realised that this was not the case.

The food at times was in-edible, and we found ourselves virtually living on bread rolls and pizzas. All 4 of us suffered with very bad stomach problems that lasted for the week we were there and on our return, infact, when we boarded the plane home all the passengers were asked if they had been ill whilst they were away, and if so, which accommodation they had stayed at. We then had a flight delay whilst the pilot spoke to a doctor to check that it was ok to fly with so many unwell passengers. We were not ill due to over-indulgence of alcohol or sun as we were all ill at the same time, as were quite a lot of others in the hotel.

The staff at the hotel were on the whole very friendly, but some just wanted to see if they could get money out of you. I found that the lack of toilets around the pool is something that needs to be addressed.
