On entering the gates to the hotel its was absolutely fantastic, being xmas as well, everything was lit up beautifully - very very impressive, as per previous notes, the entrance/lobby/foyer is absol fantasitic, everything was done on a very grand scale - immaculate, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we have been on many holidays - worldwide / all inclusive, this has definately been the best for us.
The hotel is so clean, the hotel food was great - you always here people moaning about something - but you are in Egypt and the hotel caters for many nationalities, so we felt the choice was excellent, from breakfast in the mornings, always a good choice of continental, cereals, through to cooked - dont expect bacon - they are a muslim country - through to cakes and coffee - lunch was of a very good standard and once again in the evenings food was fantastic, also home made bread and rolls which were the best ever!
The hotel itself is built in its own very spacious grounds, which once again were kept immaculate, there were plenty of sun beds for everyone and due to being such a big resort, there was never any worry of not getting a sunbed, beautiful pools and one heated which everyone used as the other pools were absolutely freezing - and we mean "freezing" what a terrible shame, they could not have heated some of the other pools, even the indoor pool was freezing.
Could not fault the hotel and staff at all, the cleaner was fab, our room was very spacious and clean with fridge and free safe - what a bonus - beach was lovely with a jetty that went out for about a mile and to see all the colourful fish was an added bonus!
The Entertainment was dire - in fact it was terrible - thats the only real downfall - egyptian hotel which cateredf for mostly russians who were the rudest people ever, I really didn't think this would bother us, but they were arrogant, rude, pushing in and that was the only part of the holidya we didnt like.
The entertainment team were made up of Russian/Chech, Ukraine and others but no English and there humour/entertainment was a little warped to say the least, having said that the hotel but on the most amazing new years evening party in a bedouin tent on the beach, what a transformation, it really was a fabulous evening - the children had a great time - and we would say this is a very very safe place to take children.
The Eqyptian people love children and in all an Excellent Holiday, we will def go back but maybe in August/September when we will get to have the benefit of using all the wonderful pools.
One other thing we needed to mention - we all had upset stomachs and alot of the hotel people did - well the English we spoke to anyway - we met up with some other English families who also experienced upset stomach and one family spent three days being sick - so worth taking lots of immodium there is a pharmacy opposite the hotel which will sell you antinell which will prevent tummy cramps for about

Bar in main reception area brilliant. Staff really look after you. Baksheesh (tipping) is expected in the hotel, but with 10 Egyptian pounds equaling one of ours it does not cost a lot, and when you learn how much they are paid for the amount of hours they put in, you realise they live on their tips.
New years gala dinner was spectacular; on the beach in a vast tent with 2000 other guests, over 200 different foods to choose from!! Brilliant.
On new years day our room guy made our beds and put swans made out of towels, then the day before we left he did a similar thing but with flowers from the gardens. Sheets and towels changed every day.
I would recommend anyone to go to this hotel, the best I have been to for a long time.

We stayed for 14 nights this time and after the 4th I was sick to the back teeth of it.
Yes the foyer and lobby are very nice thats as far as it goes.
Laying by the pool we were constantly harrassed for manicures pedicures shaves massages and hair cuts, I decided to have a cut throat shave as I had one in turkey last year and it was the best shave I ever had, it lasted a week! I paid

Don't be put off by negative reviews as we found the staff really helpful and could not do enough for you.
We had no problems with the food and did not meet anyone that had been ill either. Be aware that you must drink loads of water as you will dehydrate very quickly with the high temps.
We would recommend this resort to anyone, as we had a really relaxing time at the LTI.

We could not fault anything worthy of note except the rude Russians who make gypsies look polite !....all you have to do is ignore & feel sorry for them !
Food was always good, plentiful & varied, the 4 al-a-carte restaurants were all very good indeed especially the Chinese !....by the way, when we booked the Italian one night we mentioned that it was my wife's birthday & after we finished our lovely meal we were treated to a birthday cake delivered by singing waiters !!.....a lovely touch I must say !
As for the drinks, as you would expect from an "all inc" hotel they were not branded , however, the wine was always decent quality bottled wine instead of the rubbish you expect to get in boxes or casks !
The room we had was very nice, clean & a lovely position by the bottom pool near the beach, nice & quiet & had a great view.
With daily temperatures of 37 degrees it was to say the least very hot & if you didn't drink enough water you developed "pharohs revenge" & was nothing to do with the food !.....which the rep explains to you when you get there.
We found the staff to be very good & friendly & you get waiter & towel service by the the pools.....& if you tip them ten egyption a day (

Yes, admittedly the food isn't that good but unless you are able to book yourself into a 7 star hotel, then a 5 star all inclusive hotel will not be able to cater to al a carte standard.
My hubby is a chef and although he found some of the food to be average, he says that they definitely tried their best with the facilities, staff and fresh food available. We ate in all the restaurants and also the buffet and we found the Fish Restaurant was the best one. With the buffet, there is a section where they cook everything from scratch which is a good option.
My hubby did send back one meal from the Mediterannean as it was not hot enough and they were really apologetic and couldn't do enough to look after us after that. You cannot fault them for their customer service.
Definitely book a junior suite if you can as you then get access to the VIP lounge which is excellent plus you have the option of room service. We went there for breakfast everyday and its nice to serve yourself away from all the hustle and bustle of the main buffet. Plus with not a lot to do in the evening, you can sit in there away from the crowds in the lobby and watch the huge widescreen TV in there plus you get served drinks and don't have to queue at the bar - you can upgrade to a junior suite when you arrive at the hotel to get this option.
I did get the tummy upset and sickness whilst I was there but the pills from the chemist sorted me out within 24 hours. Don't listen to any of the bad reviews about food poisoning - we watched them in the buffet restaurants and they regularly replaced any food that had been sitting for more than an hour and everything was piping hot and like I said in the other restaurants the food was slightly overcooked if anything. I think the main reason a small majority of people were coming down with what they call Pharaohs Revenge is because they had sat in the sun for too long and were dehydrated..........
The rooms were spacious and clean - the bathroom in our suite was massive with a bath and separate shower however girls, bring your hairdryer! as the one in the room is really not that powerful.
Yes, we did have problems getting sun loungers at the pools - if you get up around 8-8.30 you will be able to find one,any time after that and they will all be gone however if you tip the pool guys they will either find one for you or will locate an empty one and move it to where you want it.
Had no problem with the Russians..........
Lots of people with broken legs whilst we were there! Be careful in the lobby, the floors are slippery - flat shoes are a must and another tip for the girls - don't bother bringing too many dresses as everyone casually dresses in the evenings - everyone was wearing cut off trousers and strappy tops...........men, no shorts in the restaurants!!
We went on two day trips by flight to Cairo and Luxor - they were excellent although we did get quite hot however the air conditioned coach was always on hand to cool down.......
The shuttle bus into Naama Bay was good, only takes 25 mins to get into town and it's free......we went and had a meal at the Hard Rock Cafe and TGI Fridays, lovely food there!
The Eygptians don't like to be tipped in sterling, they prefer their own currency as they cannot change up

The first night we were so tired we stayed in. the first day was the usual you would expect food was quite nice in the buffet restaurant and plenty of choice (believe me this gets old by the second day!). Our room was adequate and was spotless. As you sat by the pool the staff is constantly cleaning.
I WILL TRY AND SHORTEN THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO YOU DONT GO....
FOOD: Boring and repetitive buffet that grew tiresome by the 3rd day! The restaurants were good however the popular ones got booked up quickly.
I got food poisoning by the third day and spent my holiday and birthday doubled up with cramps and diarrhoea. I was not the only one and I am still not right 3 weeks later!!
ENTERTAINMENT: Oh my god this was dire for an all inclusive hotel! At night there were two cabaret singers who performed every night the same songs in the same order no joke! In the day there was the animation team who also did the same thing everyday in the same order. Truly awful there was nothing to do very very boring the tV was good in the room though stay in and watch that instead!
General Hotel: Face value stunning and spotless however as you lay by the pool you get pestered by hotel staff for "manicures, pedicures, haircuts, massage" in one hour one day we had been asked 3 times. We didn

OK, the entertainments not all that so I wouldn't recommend it for kids if that's the main focus of your holiday. However, Namma Bay is about 15mins shuttle transfer away (which you have to book at reception the day before but it is free).
Where you will find plenty of bars, restaurants like Hardrock Cafe, TGI's, KFC, McDonalds etc There is also a waterpark for the kiddies (and big kids too) which was quite good. Expect to pay about
