The food was of a very high standard, the chinese and italian were first class. Plently of choice of places to eat lunch time and evening meal. I liked the touch of cakes and rolls around the pools morning and afternoon. There was even waiter service around the pools.
Location was fine only a 20 min free bus ride to get to town.
The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble and they remembered your name and what you liked to drink.
The entertainment was like all holiday entertainment. There was plently going on all through the day, if you felt inclined to play games or do exercise classes. In the evening it served a purpose and kept my 12 and 16 year old happy, discos, bingo, quizzes, and shows were members of the audience are pulled out on stage to make fools of themselves. It enabled my husband and i to relax in the lobby after a lovely meal with a coffee or cocktail, bliss.
We would go back again.

The airport transfer was only 15 mins, we did not buy any visas as we were not going out of the sinai penninsula, there are still trips that you can do without the visas.
We arrived at the reception and was seen to immediately and was then taken to our rooms. They were the family rooms and were plenty big enough, there is a safe in the room which you do not have to pay for.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and are spotless and the cleaner we had was excellent, we gave him a

We couldn't fault the Hotel for cleanliness and the Hotel grounds are kept in tip top condition.
The Food was pretty good although my wife and I suffered from tummy bugs so...I'll say no more.
We found the Restaurants pretty good on the whole but our second trip to the Italian was very disappointing when they tried to palm me off with shredded beef from the Chinese as fillet steak. We also had to wait 45 minutes for our starter on the same occasion and when it finally came it was wrong anyway.
We were put off the Fish Restaurant due to it being outside (35 degrees in evenings + strong breeze) and reports from a number one other that it wasn't very good at all.
The Location really was out of the way with loads of building work going on all round the perimeter. Though it must be said there wasn

Everywhere was spotless. The rooms, pools, gardens and restaurants. Clean bed linen and towels avery day and clean pool towels every day or no problem changing them during the day if you wanted.
We thought that the food was great. We ate in all the restaurants and never had any tummy troubles but we did drink plenty of water - 2/3 litres a day. The main restaurant is a buffet style and you have breakfast there plus lunch and dinner if you wish. plenty of choice plus some itemes cooked fresh for you - omelets etc for breakfast plus fresh pasta and barbequed items for lunch/dinner. There are also plenty of other places for lunch - great pizza/kebabs down near the beach. A beach snack bar and also a snack bar near the waterfall pool. The speciality restaurants are also nice in the evening, Italian, Chinese, Arabian and Fish. We had great meals in all of them and never had any problem booking for the same day.
The hotel is north of Naama bay and we found it very quiet. Which is what we like. You can take the free bus into Naama bay and back if you want morelively bars/restauarants - just book it the day before. We were in block 1 near the beach and it was very quiet.
The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We tipped the cleaner when we arrived, a small tip each day to the bar and pool staff and the restaurant guys when we left. The pool guys and the ones on the slides were exceptional in lookng after the children.
The animation team worked pretty hard round one pool - lively music, water polo etc. Not our thing really so we used the other pools but some pepole seemed to enjoy it. The kids club was pretty good and the eveing entertainement was really aimed at them.
The most amzing things were the pools. Three main pools, the waterfall pool being spectacular, plus splash pools and the waterslide park area.
We had a super holiday and yes we would go back to this hotel again.

The Pool areas ars fantastic but I must say the top Waterfall lagoon pool is in a differnt class to the 2 bottom pool areas and pool bars and this is where the resort falls down a bit in our opion.
I upgraded our standard room to a junior suite on arrival for a total cost of $280 LE1696, we were in block 15 on the first floor with a half round balcony which had fantastic views of the Lagoon pool and the sea, the room we were allocated was down overlooking one of the bottom pools in block 2, the standard rooms are a lot smaller and not as new as the suites.
The rooms are cleaned daily by a cleaner who is in love with what he does, sheets and towels are changed every day and nothing is to much trouble, the only down side was our bathroom had a problem with Ants.
The food is very good, we mostly ate in the themed restaurants, the wednesday Eygptian night is very good, this is the only night you have to eat in the buffet restaurant. Food is regulary checked for temperature and the choice is huge, the drinks are not bad the beer is ok for a week then you get a bit fed up with it, the sprits I did'nt like apart from the rum, the white sprits all taste the same and so does the coffee! Wine is ok when you get used to it.
Tummy upsets! You will get it, believe me, I don't blame the hotel, I spent time with a English diver who explained that it is our european stomach and the food we are used to, everything here is fresh and can harbour bacteria, we took every precaution, even getting the local tablets on day 2 but by day 7 we were all down with it, I ended up spend over

Areas for concern were the restaurant crockery, which was unclean on every occasion I ate.
Pool water level in the waterfalls pool was always too low to allow the scum channels to work properly.
ie The top inch where anything floating would remain, was not getting removed. The water was constantly cloudy and had no way of indicating the water depth when swimming.Weak swimmers could therefore find themselves with no bottom to stand on if tired.
Service was generally slow , one time we waited 25 minutes for a drink that didn't turn up . I eventually got my own at the restaurant bar. It appeared at busy times that the terrace bar glasses (or plastics as they should be called) were not washed before being re-filled and sent out to different customers.
Cleanliness of grounds and rooms was generally good but the issue of stomach problems was a daily topic , with just about everyone falling foul of the 'Sinai Squits'.
Location may as well be in the middle of nowhere as there is nothing to walk to unless you walk the beach or face being harrassed by every taxi driver in sharm if you venture past the front gate.
A la carte restaurant food is better than the buffet but don't expect authentic food.
From the moment I stepped into the luggage reclaim I christened the place the land of waving palms, but this was only the palms of every man and his dog expecting a tip for the slightest of service (whether you wanted it or not).
If you like cold showers (when the waters got enough pressure) and warm drinks (you could have bathed a baby in the lemonade one night) ,this is the place for you.
Would I go back? Yes. When Hell does ice skating lessons I'll be first on the plane.

The hotel generally we found to be very clean, with an army of gardeners and cleaners that were working from 6am every day. I know this as I used to pass them on the way to put my towels on the sun beds by the pool so my children did not have to sit in 45 degrees all day. There is supposed to be a hotel rule against this but we seen no evidence of it working so it was a case of if you can`t beat them join them.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly but unfortunately there was not enough of them at busy periods which meant long waits at either the bar or table. Annoylingly when you walked to the bar in the restaurant yourself they would take your order and then ask you to sit down while they arranged for a waiter to bring your drinks 20 minutes later.
The food was quite good but if you wanted to book one of the four specialist restaurants you had to be in reception at 10.00am because all tables were taken by 10.30am.
Entertainment consisted of a very poor 1 hour show each evening followed by a rush to the terrace bar that did not have enough tables for all the guests.
If you managed to find a seat or table the drinks were eventually served, warm and in small plastic glasses.
The sand on the beach is a very sharp type and not sand you could walk on without shoes. The sea is basically 2ft - 3ft deep for 700 yards out to a coral reef. Totally unsuitable for normal swimming but fantastic for snorkelling which made it all the more important you had a sun bed by the pool.
In conclusion if you are prepared to get up early and organise your day with military precision tipping generously key members of staff as we ended up doing after 2 days, you will have a great holiday. If however you want a lie in and not plan ahead life can be very uncomfortable at this hotel.

Staff were very friendly but very slow unless you crossed their palm, even then our drinks went astray. We also witnessed the plastic glasses not being washed in the terrace bar and decided to drink in the reception bar with proper glasses and better service.
Drinking in the reception would also get you out of the dreadful entertainment program (the worst ive seen)and as the hotel is out on a limb there was nothing else to do in the evenings and were going to bed most evenings by 10;30.
WE were in cluster 17 near the reception and the waterfall pool which was superb.the rooms were junior suits with plenty of room for four. We did not upgrade to these rooms, this is what we were given on arrival and was impressed with the size.the maid service was great, clean sheets and towels daily.worth the

The food was OK but standing in the midday sun waiting for pizza is not 5 star.
We travelled to the LTI Grand Azure after the bombings, therefore the hotel was not full, although finding a sunbed was still a problem after 7AM! Security was excellent with guards sat around the perimeter of the hotel grounds keeping an eye on everything.
The snorkling and diving are the best you can get. The children loved the flumes and the staff manning them were great fun.
All in all a wonderful holiday and we will definitely go back to Sharm, but perhaps not AI, so we can tip when we receive good food and service.
