The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.
Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

short distance from sharm airport sharks bay is very quiet but only a short taxi ride (approx £10) to Naama Bay which is very busy and lively. found a cheap and excellend bar MOJO's well worth a visit, fish excellent with wonderful views unmissable. back to sharks bay the Four Seasons hotel is a must even for afternoon tea, or a decent glass of cold white wine much appreciated. all in all a holiday never to be forgotten. excursion flying to cairo also unforgettable, well worth the early start.

The sea is warm and the fish are fantastic.
A baby dolphin came into the cove and played with the swimmers which was amazing .
There is plenty to do within the resort as there is a watersports centre on site and the hotel has good facilities.
There isnt really much to do in the evening within sharks bay so you have to take a taxi into naama bay or old sharm. we didnt sample any nightlife so cant really comment on the local clubs, etc.
We just enjoyed sitting down at the bar most evenings with some drinks which was most pleasant and quite romantic as the views at night were stunning.
If you are looking to shop for anything beware of resort prices as you can get the same items for a fraction of the price at old sharm wich is a 10 min taxi ride. Be sure to barter because there are no price tags on anything and you can usually get the price down to a quarter of what the starting price was.
A more unpleasant note but has to be mentioned.
There were several women (me included)who got groped by egyptian locals whilst swimming in the sea.
The hotel staff were very upset and assured us that it wasnt a regular occurrance, and had a security meeting about it. please beware as it was an awful experience and quite frightening. Dont swim alone if you are a woman especially outside the boundries of the resort.

If going to sharm walk to the gate and hire a cab from there half the price of hotel taxi and he will come back for you when you ask him at a certain time.
Round trip cost us £2 between 4. Old sharm is a must to see. The food is also cheaper than in sharm its self i had a massive pizza that would have fed all 4 of us for £1.20.
There is also a place called fantasia that does a show all about egypt & the pyrimids well worth seeing.saturday night is the english version of the show. You can have a lot of fun haggling with the locals.
Mind and half or even less than the price they are asking and dont back down they will come after you if you walk away as they try and sell you the item.

Sharm el Sheikh itself is an interesting though far from sophisticated or picturesque town. Most of the hotels advertised as being in Sharm are actually at Na'ama Bay a couple of miles away.
Na'ama Bay is purely a tourist resort with a variety of international hotels and restaurants. There are also somne excellent and very cheap restaurants serving Egytptian food. We were not interested in nightlife, but others report that it is lively.
The resort is clean and feels very safe. The shop owners are very persuasive and haggling is expected (although prices are often so cheap it seems superfluous), but the general feel is very good natured.
It was our experience and that of others that the snorkelling off Naama Beach is as good in places as on the reefs in the Ras Mohammed National Park

We found the resort to be very clean and crime free.
It is a very busy resort but felt totally safe at all times.
In Narma Bay I think there is something to suit everybodys taste.
I was not a big fan of the beach and I am a beach lover.
I did find it too crowded and also a huge ammount of jelly fish. Having said that the beach was clean. The snorkelling was fantastic.
We would visit the resort again.

I wouldnt visit this resort or any other in Egypt I dont think - purely due to the fact the men will NOT leave you alone if you are English - regardless of whether you have your husband on your arm. I had heard they were quite into us British Women over there but it was a joke and my friend and I were followed into the ladies toilets on 2 occassions in the middle of Naama Bay by locals - not pleasent and very intimidating. I think people should be made more aware of this prior to going so they are ready for it!! - If this problem wasnt there then I would definatley go back so if this sort of thing wouldnt bother you - GO - it is overall very nice with fantastic weather and restaurants but you need to be quite forceful and we just found this spoilt the relaxing holiday.

Really you cannot answer these questions as the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort is a large hotel in the middle of the desert alongside by detached from similar quality hotels, with its own private beach which is maintained by the hotel to a very high standard. The nearest and most popular town that everyone visits is Naama Bay, a 20 minute ride by either pre-booking at the reception for the hotel mini bus which is very very cheap or taxis from infront of the hotel. Naama Bay is a small modern tourist area with many street restaurants and glitzy shopping, it is worth a visit especially if you have any presents to buy, which are alot cheaper than other outlets.

Downtown Sharm el Sheikh is buzzing at night with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars.
Restaurants inexpensive though bars quite pricey. Shopping is great and the staff in most were mainly very helpful. A good night out when staying in a quiet hotel but suspect if would be very noisy for and entire holiday.

Naama Bay in Sharm el Sheikh was a short taxi ride from our hotel (Grand Oasis) and is very clean and lively with a wide range of restaurants and shopping for all. It is a very friendly ,family type place where you walk and feel completely safe. The shop keepers are always trying to sell you things but always in a friendly way no hassle, and if you do buy from them always haggle down to a good price.

Sharm El Sheikh
Not really a lot at Sharm El Shikh except hotels. Naama Bay is the place for nightlife. A short taxi ride away so visited it a few times.
