Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.
Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

This was our first time in Sharm El Sheikh but wont be our last. This is a very unique resort as it has been purposley built for tourism. Once you arrive at the airport you are told that if you need a visa this is the only time you can get one as once you leave the airport that is it. Visa's cost 15.00 gb but you need one of you are going to go diving or on certain trips to Cairo or Luxor. Snorkling is fantastic. We did not like the hassle when you want to go shopping. As soon as you arrive in Nama Bay you are pounced upon and are carted of to a shop to see what is being sold, and to say most of it is trash is polite. We are not a nation of hagglers but you have to be in Sharm. This is a lovely place to be so do yourselves a favour and go see it

Naama Bay is spotlessy clean with large range of bars, cafe's and restaurants, try Hard Rock Cafe, a good night out! Lots of shops, yes you do get asked to look at menu;s and shops, just smile and say no thanks, they leave you alone. The hassle is not half as bad as Turkey or Greece.

all I can say is that you need to go and visit for yourselves, do not listen to any other reviews.

Hotel area, very clean, did not venture to Naama Bay, just wanted a relaxing beach and pool area, which we got.
Disco there, and beach party which was a great atmosphere.
beach very tidy, beds and umbrellas free and beach bar and staff first class.
cant wait to get back may 2010

The resort is lovely and clean, you will not see any litter whilst on your stay at the holiday village red sea,all the complex is clean by workers. The entertainment is funny for all those people with a sense of humour and will please everyone!!the beach isn't really for me is you know what I mean the view and the sea is all nice but the sand is awful because instead of sand its little stones and under that is black volcanic stuff which really smells after a little while!.All in all I would like to go back next year.

We stayed in the area of Nabq Bay which is part of the much larger resort of Sharm el Sheik. This is one of the newer areas for tourists and is still under development, so you will see building works going on. That said the hotels that are already built on the sea side are to a high standard and look good. Nice buildings and lovely grounds, most impressive.
You are probably a good 30 mins in a cab from Nama Bay which is the more establised tourist centre in Sharm.
There were two malls opposite our hotel Al Khan described by the rep at the welcome meeting as the Egyptian Mall and La Strada described by the rep as the more Eurpopean Mall. It was hard to see the distinction.
The malls were very clean, but the few evening we went accross had little atmosphere and few tourists, infact they seemed a bit dead. I think it may be because most hotels in this area are all inclusive.
A major road runs between beachside where the open hotels currently are and the side the malls with the shops and restaurants are. As you cross this road which is a duel carriageway drivers will stop and try and get you into their taxis.
It's a bit annoying really as it's obvious you are just crossing the road to go to the two malls.
There are signs up saying Hard Rock coming soon and TGI Fridays coming soon lol. Look like they have been up for a couple of years. I can't imagine big concerns like this setting up until the area of Nabq is more established, especially as they both have places in Namma Bay already that people can cab to for a night out if they want this style of food.
We really only used the mall for a stroll around, not too much hassle although one night we were the only people in Al Khan so they did try and get us in their bazzars.
We had a few coffees in starbucks as the coffee in our hotel wasn't the best. There is free wi-fi there for anyone interested. More Egyptians in there than tourists.
Also a McD's and Burger King but we didn't use these as they are not our thing but good to have them there for those that like them.
There are plenty of banks and ATM's to change money on the side of the road that all the hotels are on. Better rates for changing sterling into LE than you get here in the UK.
The beach at Nabq is OK, at our hotel it was large, deep and spacious and you could sunbathe etc without all being on top of one another, unlike a lot of hotel pool areas.
However the sea is very shallow for a long way out and is stoney and reedy in places so not always easy to navigate. Our hotel had a long jetty that took you past the rocks and weeds so that you could swim in relative comfort with sand underfoot. There were no corals to speak of immediately at the end of the jetty. You needed to swim to the Tropicana Grand Azure's jetty which was much longer than the one at the Holiday Village Red Sea to be able to snorkel and see fish. But you couldn't actually use their jetty which is fair enough, so you need to swim from one to the other.
I would be happy to visit this area again and will be interested to see how it develops over the years.

the resort of sharks bay was all we saw of egypt . as we had only gone for 1 week to relax, therefore other than to take a a couple of stroll's outside down to the soho square nearby is all we can comment on.
there are a number of shops and a nice squre named soho square within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
here you will find souvenir shops, a pharmacy and some restaurants.
we found the shop keepers here to be very friendly, and none threatnig.

Sharm is a lovely place and if you like snorkelling or driving it is the place to be. The jetty was like a floating one and made me feel sea sick and my mum found it very difficult to walk down, where at the other hotel i stayed in it was a wooden one and went out for what felt like miles it was great.
It took only 10 mins to get into namma bay which is worth a visit, the chinese in the shopping centre on the top floor was excellent the best meal i had!! I got some really nice fake designer bags, but you really do get hassled and its best to keep your head down and just walk. As i was there with my mum were got loads of attention from the egytians which was becoming really annoying by the end of the holiday and they did make you feel quite uncomfortable in the end.
We didn't go on any trips as did that last time i visited but from what people said they were all very good and reasonable priced.
Sharm is loevely but check out Tropicana LTI grand azure before you book as the hotel was far nicer and the food was great for the brits, bottles water was also free and the stuttle bus into namma bay.
Hope this is helpful for anyone thining about booking this hotel.
