Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

We are world wide travellers as in we have been to most countries through out the world but i have to say Sharm for the size of the place is very nice indeed, its very clean and everything as it should be..the beaches arent soft sand as u would expect as its in the middle of a desert but they are certainly very nice and well worth another visit..

Nabq is an up and coming area which is very much under development. All of the big chain restaurants are now opening up with McD's,FC, starbucks etc already open and TGI Fridays & Hard rock on the way. There is a very pleasant walkway linking all the resort hotels and many have restaurents that you can visit if you desire. We were dissapointed to find not a trace of egyptian or North African food. The area is built on a large SHALLOW LAGOON which means that diving needs a trip to deeper water and the snorkelling is poor in comparison with nearby reefs. If you are going for the diving then a transfer to Naama bay or sharks bay is required. In summary the area is very much a work in progress, it will be interesting to see how it develops over the next few years.

In Nama Bay there is a wide variety of bars (including the shisa bars which can be good fun) and resturants, several casinos a go-kart track and a kids amusement park, also a water park, you can always find something to do and somewhere to eat, it also sadly has Macdonalds & KFC and a few english bars, there are also some nightclubs which we did not visit as we had our 11 year old son with us. The hotel beaches were clean Kironez Beach has a pontoon which you walk out on to get into the sea, snorkelling here is amazing, Sandy Beach is a bit of a contradiction as it is more shingle than sand and is in a cove it is quite nice but if you look behind, you will see a building site, however you can walk out into the sea from this beach and snorkel. I would recommend anyone swimming or snorkelling to wear surf shoes or jelly sandals due to the coral etc.

We have travelled to sharm 5 times and have always enjoyed ourselves. Nama Bay is excellent for shopping, with loads of bedouin type cafes and restaurants. The beaches are fab with plenty of colourful fish to see, you never get bored of snorkelling and the water is always warm! The people are always so friendly and always smiling, we have been over christmas 4 times and you would not believe how they celebrate christmas for us, there are christmas trees, santas, reindeer and fairy lights everywhere, it really is brill at this time of year, and the weathers hot too!! ( Although it does go cold at night, so take trousers and jumpers!) I would recommend Sharm to anyone!

They spent all day cleaning and cleaning
Beach was great but a few white plastic cups blow into the sea so we collected them
Yes we would but some hotels are not so Russian,. I think the staff see a big difference and would very much like to have more brits.

Nabq Bay in Sharm is really cute. We were two girls alone and felt very safe, despite being warned to watch out. We were respectful to the Egyptians and were polite at all times. They do hassle you, but its fun, and if you're not in the mood, you just say "No thankyou" and walk off. Fab coffee shop in the square, where they do the best Coffee latte's and you can watch all the shows. You dont get ripped off in the shops, and you have everything you need on your doorstep.
I didn't personally rate Naama Bay. Way too commercial, it was like Blackpool in Egypt! Too many tourists. But again, we weren't raped and pillaged, like some reports would make out. Its no different to London. Be streetwise, and dont tease the locals. Sharm is the most relaxing and peaceful little spot in the world, so go and enjoy all it has to offer. And remember, the locals are just trying to earn a living, so be polite, and have fun haggling! They are dissapointed if you dont!
