Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Very good resort, Would reccomend that the shop owners try all ways to get you in be firm and polite and generally they move on.

We visited Naama Bay one night and found that quite disappointing in the way of things to do. Was mainly shops selling the same sort of things. All looked very colourful though but with a lack of things to do.
The beach was a private beach for our hotel and was clean. we went snorkelling which we can highly recommend with lots of fish and coral to see!

The hotels in Sharm are spread over a vast area and this should be taken into consideration before you go.
If you like to stay in your hotel, then some of them are brilliant, but if you like to get out and about, you need something more central.

Sea Life and Sea Club are the resort in themselves. If my children were in their early teens then I would probably look at somewhere closer to Naama Bay for evening entertainment. It was ideal for our family and would love to go back to Sea Life.

Sharm el Sheikh is a lovely resort although much of it is buildings in construction and sandy areas. There is alot of shops in quite a few different shopping centers there are many boat trips including snorkeling diving and glass bottom boats.

The resort is very cheap, clean, friendly and with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
There's a huge range of restaurants to try and I can honestly say we never once had a meal we didn't like. We had a Chinese meal one night (the Peking), a couple of seafood/steak restaurants and also a couple of Lebanese restaurants. Excellent kebabs and koftas fresh of the coals. Wonderful starters too. Both times here the whole meal with two rounds of drinks came to no more than £17.50.
We went to the Hard Rock Cafe (the same the world over!). Nice steak meal - two courses and two rounds of drinks for £26.
For those that like fast food, there are KFC and McDonalds. Dead cheap compared to Britain. A large Big Mac meal is £2.60 and a fillet burger KFC meal is £2.00. And the fillet burger is huge!
The best Happy Hour bar is the beach bar of the hotel next door to the left as you look at the beach. Their happy hour is from 6pm to 9pm. It has a good atmosphere with very comfy bar stools which I don't usually like to sit on, but these had padded seats and backs to them. As an example of prices, one night we each had a half litre of beer, a vodka and lemonade, a vodka and coke and a rum based cocktail. The total bill was £10! That night we weren't very hungry so just went along to KFC and that meal cost £2 each - so the whole night cost £14!!
Sharm el Sheikh airport is a nightmare. For some reason, Thomson holidays get you there over 3 hours before your flight, and so do every other tour operator. So the airport is absolutely chock-a- block. No seats or even floor space to sit for over an hour until a flight was called and then near anarchy from people scrambling for the seats and floor space vacated. God only knows how the elderly or disabled cope with it, and it wasn't just our bad luck on the day - apparently that's how it often is.
An excellent winter holiday and we would definitely go back. Not in summer as I think it would be far too hot. As it was, we had day temperatures of between 23 and 28 degrees but always with a refreshing breeze on the beach. The first couple of evenings we needed light jumpers but the last few days we didn't.

there was not alot to do in resort with the exception of visiting Naama bay and having a chat with the locals who are very friendly

There was not much to do in the resort itself but a cheap taxi ride away in Naama Bay or Sharm.
There was plenty going on,most of the beaches in this resort were attached to hotels but were kept clean, for a relaxing holiday this resort is ideal.

Sharm el sheikh I've got to say "will be nice when it's finished !!" It's like a building site, even the exsiting hotels seem to be having extentions built on. There is certainly alot of investment going into this resort I hope it can hold on to some of it's charms and not get to comercialised.
There seemed to be plenty of choice but we booked ours through our tour operator.
Beaches are fantastic can't even begin to describe how good the snorkling is hope they do'nt get ruined by over crowding (see first coments).

We visited Naama bay twice once in the day and once at night I would say its better to go in the day we got hassled non stop at night there is a Mcdonalds, kfc and pizza hut there.
If you are recommended to take US dollars travellers cheques don't, first choice made money out of us by telling us this as we bought them all home and lost money changing them back, every where in the resort take english money and prefer it to there own.
The quad biking was great driving round the dessert and climbing the mountains to watch the sun set. My husband went snorkelling and said there was no need to go diving as you see just as much out on a snorkelling trip.
