Stallis has a long stretch of places to eat shops and supermarkets plenty to stroll around in the evening the beach was small but plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas watch out for the mopeds and quad bikes which can be a bit of a menace especilly as there is no path

Stallis is a very busy resort and like many others have said please watch out for mopeds and quad bikes. There is a lot to do and it can suit all ages. We particilarly liked the swing chair bar. The cocktails were brilliant, almost like a snack as well as a drink. There are shops aplenty and all the locals seem to be very friendly and helpful and most speak English.

crete is wonderful and koni village is gr8 - the only area for concern was that the appt are build on a hill and the walk to the main resource - leave the heals at home :). appt was very clean and spacious. staff are very friendly. would go back to koni

Overall Stalis was very clean and the locals very friendly. Entertainment was varied with something for everyone to do, whether it be lively and loud or a bit more sedate. The beach was excellent, very clean with plenty of sun loungers and parasols for hire at a sum of 3 euros for two. There were plenty of water sports to take part in for the more lively people and lots of beach side restaurants/pubs to grab a bite to eat if you fancied a break from the beach. Would we visit this resort again - yes, we are already booked to go back in June 2008.

Stalis is a lovely resort which we found to be very clean and the beaches were really good and clean aswell.
The resort has lots of tavernas to choose from and there are plenty of bars and some did have entertainment in the evenings.
We will definately be going back to Stalis.

Stalis is excellent I can't reckonmend this place enough to any one.Its especially good for families as there are no really wild bars for the younger ones(party goers) the end of the town nearest to Malia is more lively with your usual Prs dragging you into the pubs with the free drink/shot bribe, but the other end of the town is more laid back and all of the bars are child friendly. There isn't much entertainment going on in many of the bars slante (irish bar) had a chap playing a guitar who was quite good the first night but does exactly the same jokes songs etc every night so once was enough! apart from that no where else seem to go in for live entertainment, its the first year on holidays I haven't been dragged to see an Elvis impersonator!!!!!!
The restaurants are fantastic we didn't have one bad meal, ones I can reckonmend Marias golden beach which had dancing and plate smashing , Yannis Golden heart which served suckling pig off a spit wed& Sunday, Lancelots who serve lovely fresh slush puppies which were great in the heat for both the kids and the adults, they were made with fresh fruit and they crushed the ice with them I can't explain how refreshing these are in 40 degrees!
The beach is lovely be aware of where the life guards are though as they don't patrol the whole beach. Sunbeds were ,€4 bought you 2 sunbeds and a brolly .We went to a place called Talgo beach pool bar which is opposite the Stalis hotel this was perfect as the sea was quite rough a few days so the kids could use the pool as well as the beach, the food here was reasonable too lunch for the 4 of us with drinks costing around €20 including ice creams.
Shops are plentiful with the usual fake brands especially football shirts a strip costing €15.
To sum up the resort is extremely cheap but you have to remember I'm living in Dublin!we found food and drink ( beware of the rhaki!!!)very in expensive ,but the trips out were on the expensive side, trips I can reckonmend although expensive jeepsafari and the water city water park..
