This is our sixth visit to stalis since 2005 and we like the resort very much, it caters for all ages. If younger members of your party want to something a bit more lively or a mcdonalds malias only a few minutes away. Stalis as many restaurants, bars and pubs for all tastes. The beaches are good but prices for sunbed hire varies.

The resort has expanded over the last 9 years giving more choice of restraunts, bars and shops. The beach is very clean and great for all age groups, the sea shelves down soflty being ideal for children and there are lots of watersports on the beach for the more energetic. The weather is great from May onwards however it can get really hot in August so make sure that you take advantage of air con it's more than worth it.

Stalis resort is not for the young and livley although malia and hersonisis are flanking Stalis on either side and are a short bus journey away, however The bars restaurants and tavernas line the beach front ans the staff are all very friendly and fun, the food is devine and the atmosphere is very relaxed, returning visitors are treated like long lost family and new visitors always want to return

At times thought we were in Turkey, you were constantly pestered to go in restaurants to eat. Supermarket prices for Drink and tobacco very high. Nice Beach, very long. lot of building / road works going on. Too many quad bikes and scooters along the beach road saw quite a few accidents while we were there. Also check your change in a few of the supermarkets they tried to short change us quite a few times. there were loads of stray dogs / cats roaming the streets.
booze prices varied a pint was roughly 3 euros, one thing that was common in the bars was that a half a beer was not half the price of a pint it was only 0.5 euros cheaper so get a pint and ask for a half glass.
Bars we drank in, Malibu is a must, shorts and cocktails were 3.3 Euros and very strong - we nearly always ended up there at the end of the night, young lad called Ross looks after the bar on the night - very friendly. Also drank in the Rovers Return, Diamond bar just opposite the romantic corner - amstel 2.5 euros a large bottle, Slantes(Irish Bar) and the Internet cafe on the corner - all good bars. Also 1/2 hour walk from apartments are 2 swing bars you need to try these out and also the Rose and Crown a couples of minutes walk, food very good here had an excellant sunday roast
Walked into Hersonosis and Malia both a hours walk from the apartments although you can catch the bus for 1.2 euros. Got stung in the Suncomer bar on the beach in malis 8 euros for 2 large shandies.
The beach is very nice and a few of the bars were offering free sunbeds.
On the downside you were constantly pestered by the restaurants to get you in.
Had a good breakfast on last day in robin hood bar 4.50 euros with tea/coffee and fresh orange juice, they also do a pick and mix breakfast.
All in all the prices in the resort were very high expecially if you drank alcopops, bud, magners these were very expensive compared to england

The main resort of Stalis is based mainly on night clubs bars and resteraunts and caters mostly for the younger holiday maker, dont use the beach when on holiday but it looks clean and the sea is bright blue, plenty of sun beds and brollies.

Stayed in Stalis 18 years ago, its changed a bit since then! It was clean, the beach was clean, nearly everywhere still open even though it was the end of the season. Never saw any trouble, probably because there was not many young people there. Got a bit fed up with being constantly pestered to eat here or there though, even though we were only out strolling sometimes.

The resort was everything we were expecting and didn't dissappoint.Beach is big, leading into the next resorts. We found it to be a bit dirty with rubbish left lying. This didn't cause too much of a problem though. There are plenty of tavernas all serving great food with plenty of choice and night life to suit all tastes. The one thing I must mention though is that the resort is over run with cats. This can be a problem to some as they seem to appear from nowhere, even jumping on to your table as your'e eating, and I like cats!!

the resort was quiet,as advertised, and the local road train and the buses to ag/nich and heraklion were of high standard and cheap and reliable. the beach was clean with a choice of watersports. you could easily walk to the next resort of malia. there were a few bars still open if you wanted to go out of an evening.
